Ask for your next clip idea.
Describe the moments you want and Idea Studio suggests clips from your episodes.
Before you start
Choose what kind of moment you want: an explanation, a strong opinion, a useful tip or a story. The connected episodes are the source of the suggestions.
Open the channel’s clip ideas

Open Clips & Thumbs Maker and the Clips ideas view for the channel you want. Check the channel name so you do not combine an idea from one show with an output from another.
Open the Clips tab in Clips & Thumbs Maker and find Ask for clip ideas. Describe the kind of moment and topic you are looking for.
A specific request helps you assess the results: say who the clip is for and what it should help them understand.
Request a useful kind of moment

Under Ask For Clip Ideas, describe the subject, tone or kind of moment you want and choose Get ideas. Try example fills a request you can edit. Refresh Suggestions analyzes the channel’s eight newest entries and shows when suggestions were updated.
Choose Get ideas. Read the suggestions and inspect the episode and timing behind each one.
Treat an idea as a candidate. Listen to the moment before committing to it and check whether it needs more context.
Select an idea, then open the composer

Listen to an idea and read the surrounding transcript. Tick Use in a clip, then choose the Make clip action below the selections. In the composer, trim the range, choose format and captions, preview it and render only when the moment makes sense on its own.
Select Use in a clip on the idea you want. In the editor, refine the trim and review captions, shape and branding.
Make the clip only after the chosen moment works on its own. Review the completed render in My Outputs before sharing.
Review checklist
- The moment matches the request.
- You have listened to the source in context.
- The edited clip has a complete beginning and ending.
If you get stuck
The ideas are not useful
Narrow the topic or describe the type of moment more clearly.
A promising idea needs context
Adjust its trim in the clip editor before making it.
