Decks and proposals

Choose a presentation purpose, say what it is for, and Begin prepares a presentation from your account content. Edit it slide by slide, open its PDF, and email or share a reviewed version.

Where do I create a client proposal or presentation?

Open Decks & Proposals, choose New presentation, and choose what you want to make: Client Proposal, Capabilities Presentation, Partnership / Media Kit, Case Study, or Analytics Sheet. Select Begin. It asks What are you trying to do?: say what the presentation is for in your own words, or pick one of the ideas under the box, then select Make presentation. The ideas are written from your own website, such as its pages, partner brands and figures, with a different set for each kind of presentation, and each one starts with that kind, such as "A capabilities presentation for". What you write guides which pages of your website the presentation is built from, and the best match leads it and is named on the cover. It is kept in the internal preparation notes and never appears on a slide. Leave the box empty to build from your website as a whole. Podspun fills in your brand and prepares a presentation from your account content, in your website's own colors, using short text sections and selected photographs. When suitable photographs are available, one appears on the cover and others illustrate the work. Complete source text stays in the internal preparation record. There is no setup wizard or website-context dropdown. Open PDF opens the saved document in a new tab.

The presentation shows one slide at a time. Move between slides with the arrows beside the slide count or the Left and Right arrow keys, and select Present to show it full screen. Headings are your website's own words. Short pieces of text next to each other share a slide, and a section with a long list or many paragraphs is spread over several slides. Figures, such as follower counts or years in business, show as large numbers in boxes with their labels, card and offer grids on your site become picture cards, and logo strips become a slide of logos. Forms and buttons on your site are left out. Figures in boxes are rounded, so 46,000 reads 46K+. The numbers slide shows live figures from Shared Values: a figure your website reads live, such as followers or destinations covered, and your views and likes from Analytics. A figure you type on Shared Values is shown instead. They update each time the presentation opens, and an approved version keeps the figures it was approved with. A presentation made from a website with no numbers gets a numbers slide of your Analytics figures after the introduction. You are introduced once, on an introduction slide with your photo. Social covers show whole, at their own shape. The last slide is Contact, with links to your website and its contact page once the website has its own domain, and the email addresses and social profiles found on the site. Every slide has content: no empty placeholder pages are made.

Under the last slide, Add a page offers ideas for that kind of presentation (for a proposal: Scope, Timeline, Fees and Audience) and a box for your own request. Some ideas put the start of a request in the box for you to finish with your own facts, such as your fees or dates. Select Add page and the page is written from your request and your website and placed before Contact. If there is nothing to write it from, it is not added: put the facts in the box and try again. Above the slides are Add slide, Edit details and Send or share. Choose Edit this slide to change its text directly or ask for a change, review the result, then Save changes. Edit details contains the title, the optional Prepared for name and your brand name. The logo and colors come from your website. A blank Prepared for field is okay: add a recipient later to show it on the cover. Presentations stay separate from your website pages.

Select presentation checkboxes to archive several together. In the Archived view, restore selected presentations or choose Permanently Delete. Permanent deletion is available for archived presentations only and requires typing DELETE. It removes their approved versions, PDFs and client links.

When you have not made a presentation yet, Decks & Proposals opens on the templates. Each card shows that template's cover made from your own website and channels, and View sample opens the whole presentation made from your content as a PDF, before you make one. After your first presentation, the page lists your presentations, and New presentation opens the templates.

How do I share my follower and post numbers with a brand?

Make an Analytics Sheet in Decks & Proposals: choose New presentation, then Begin on Analytics Sheet. It has a cover, then pages of your figures in boxes: Audience (followers on each platform), Social posts (posts, views and likes), Work (such as artworks, film and TV credits, years of work, episodes and destinations) and Recognition (exhibitions, solo exhibitions, public collections, press features and awards, counted from the sections of your website's CV), then your contact details. A group with nothing to show is left out. The figures come from Shared Values and update each time the sheet opens. Approve it to send a link or a PDF; an approved version keeps the figures it was approved with.

Where do I change the follower and post numbers my site and presentations show?

Open Shared Values, the last link under Outputs. Under Figures, each of your figures shows its value with Auto-updates beside it: followers on each platform, posts, views and likes, and your website's figures, such as artworks, film and TV credits, years of work, exhibitions, episodes and destinations. Select Override to type your own figure, such as 46K or 2,400, and Save. It then shows Set by you, and Switch to auto goes back to the automatic figure. A figure with nothing to count yet is in Add a figure, where you can type one. With more than one website, choose the website to see its own figures.

The figures appear on your website's Stats blocks in Website Builder and on the numbers pages in Decks & Proposals, including the Analytics Sheet. Under Logos is each channel's logo, placed on its clips, thumbnails and social posts in Social, Clips & Thumbs.

Where do I set the brand, logo, colors and fonts for my presentations?

Presentations take them from your website: its name, its logo and its colors. There is no separate settings page in Decks & Proposals. To change the logo or colors, change them on your website in Website Builder, and presentations you make after that use them.

To change the brand name on one presentation, open it, select Edit details and change Your Brand, then Save changes. The Contact slide uses the email addresses and social profiles found on your website.

Can I see samples and choose page templates?

Open Templates & samples. Each purpose has a prominent Begin button. View sample is a smaller link underneath and opens a PDF in a new tab. Each card's cover and each sample are made from your own website and channels, the same way Begin makes a presentation, so the first time the templates open they can take a moment. Begin then makes a separate presentation you can edit.

A presentation made from your website takes your website's colors: its page color, text color and accent. Without website colors, each type has its own: Client Proposal uses slate blue, Capabilities Presentation uses plum, Partnership / Media Kit uses ivory and navy, Case Study uses white and rust with a wide project image, and Analytics Sheet uses charcoal and blue. Every presentation sets its headings, subheadings and figures in a serif type and its reading text in a plain sans serif. These treatments appear in the gallery, document and PDF, with larger photographs, shorter introductions and grouped service details. A consistent header carries your brand name and your website's logo. When the website has no logo, it uses the brand name alone. The footer identifies the presentation and page; the same frame repeats on PDF continuation and table pages. Begin on an existing saved account template makes a separate draft from that template, including its saved content, so review any client-specific details.

How do I use existing content in a presentation?

Choose a purpose and Begin automatically selects relevant written content and stored images from your account, then prepares a document. There is no Sources step to complete. Podspun keeps internal references to the material used. Open About this presentation below the slides to see how many content items were used and any details still missing.

Edit this slide opens the text and a short Ask for a Change box. Apply edit prepares a suggestion for your review; Save changes stores the reviewed text. You can also type directly, use Add slide, or use Add a page under the last slide, which writes a new page from your request and your website. Pages for facts only you know, such as fees or dates, are made only when you give those facts. The built-in gallery examples are never used as facts about your business. Internal preparation notes and raw source text stay out of client PDFs and shared presentations.

How do I share or email a presentation and its PDF?

Open the completed presentation and its saved PDF. After reviewing the content, select Send or share above the slides. Save any edits and approve the version you want to send. Approval preserves its content, selected image files and matching PDF. Later edits leave approved versions unchanged.

Create a client link with an optional expiry date. Anyone with the link can open and forward it; revoke it to remove access. Client presentations are excluded from search indexing. Archiving a presentation makes its links unavailable while archived. Restoring it re-enables unrevoked, unexpired links.

For Gmail, choose an approved version, create its client link, and enter a recipient, subject and message under Email to client. Open draft in Gmail opens a new tab with that message and the approved presentation link. You choose the sending account in Gmail and send there. Podspun does not send this draft or set Gmail's Reply-To. Leave the recipient blank to fill it in Gmail. A compose link cannot attach a PDF automatically: download the approved PDF and attach it in Gmail.

To send from your configured Podspun sender, expand Send through Podspun. Choose an approved version, enter the recipient and message, and include its presentation link, PDF, or both. Your verified sender and reply address appear in the review. Confirm the exact email before sending. New client contacts are saved without subscribing them to newsletters. Sent means the email service accepted it; Delivered requires a delivery event. If its status is unknown, check history before sending another copy. Begin never emails or shares a presentation automatically.
