Filmmakers and films

Open Accounts and check Filmmaker under Account type. This adds Film Studio and the Filmmaker Blocks section in the website builder. Creator and Artist can stay checked too. Turning Filmmaker off later hides the studio and prevents new filmmaker blocks from being added. It does not delete film records or remove blocks already published on a site.

Each film has one record for its title, logline, synopses, year, runtime, format, genres, languages, countries, production stage, release date, poster, backdrop, trailer, and official website. The same record holds cast and crew, screenings, festival selections and awards, press coverage, downloadable assets, press kits, watch links, and private notes. Publishing a film creates its public page and adds it to the site's Films page.

Film Hero, Filmography, Film Details, Film Credits, Festival Selections and Awards, Film Press Kit, and Where to Watch are in Filmmaker Blocks. They read from Film Studio and appear in the picker only when Filmmaker is checked on the account. People, Events, Reviews and Press Quotes, Downloads, Platform Links, Gallery, Media, Cards, and social blocks stay in the shared sections because they are useful to every account type. A shared block can still choose a film as its source.

Yes. Import the Instagram or TikTok account through Podspun Dataweaver, then open Social Posts in Film Studio. One post can be connected to several films. Podspun can suggest matches from film titles, but every suggestion waits for you to confirm or reject it. Connections can be labeled as an announcement, trailer, behind the scenes, festival, press, screening, cast and crew, or other.

Open Calendar & Events in Film Studio and click Add event. One record holds the title, venue, city, country, the event's own time zone, its date (or its start and end times), an RSVP or tickets link, a stream link for while it is live, a replay link for after, a note, an image, and an optional related film, product, or auction. Set Status to Published for it to show; a Draft never appears on the website.

Every Events block and Live Now block on your pages reads these records, so changing a date here changes it everywhere at once. Choose Yes under Date Only for a festival window or an announcement day: a date-only event is never shown as live. Give an event a start time when something goes on the air or on stage at a set moment. Canceling an event keeps it listed with a Canceled label until its date has passed; Unpublish or Delete removes it.
