Clips & Media · Full walkthrough
Put several moments in one clip.
Combine moments from different episodes, then trim and order them in the same editor.
Before you start
Select moments that belong together and decide the order in which they should make sense. Combining several moments can change their apparent meaning, so review the original context.
Choose the moments to combine

Select several moments with Use in a clip, then open Make clip. You can combine up to ten moments and three minutes total. Choose moments that support one clear story rather than a collection of unrelated quotes.
Select the moments you want and choose Make one clip from them. These can come from different episodes.
Keep the selection focused on one purpose. A short sequence of related points is easier to follow than unrelated highlights.
Order and trim each moment

Use the moment arrows to change the order and select each moment to trim it. Add moment can use this episode, another episode or Search all. Remove an unwanted moment with its X. Listen to the joins after changing either order or duration.
Trim each moment in the editor and arrange their order. Listen to the end of one moment followed by the beginning of the next.
Remove repeated introductions or conclusions where they make the sequence drag, while preserving the meaning of each speaker’s point.
Choose the transition and output style

Choose Cut for a direct join or Fade for a softer transition. Set the format, captions and logo for the whole output. If any selected moment is audio-only, the combined output uses an audiogram.
Choose Cut or Fade between moments and review the complete sequence. Check captions and audio at every join.
Make the clip, then watch the rendered file in My Outputs. Review the joins again before downloading or sharing it.
Render and check the finished sequence

Play the entire preview, including every transition. Save as Draft to return later or Make Clip to render. Wait for completion in My Outputs and play the actual output before downloading it. Check that each excerpt still represents its speaker’s meaning.
A transition can make a join smoother, but it cannot make disconnected statements coherent. If the sequence implies an answer or agreement the speakers never gave, reorder or remove a moment. Keep the finished duration and chosen shape appropriate for its destination.
Review checklist
- The order tells one coherent story.
- Edits preserve each source’s meaning.
- Sound and captions remain clear at the joins.
If you get stuck
A join feels abrupt
Adjust the trim and compare Cut with Fade.
The combined clip feels repetitive
Remove a repeated point or shorten the relevant moment.
