How are suggested clips picked?

Podspun reads each episode for its strongest moments: pulled quotes, highlights, key moments, and hooks such as a reveal, a cliffhanger, a tease, an open question, or a conflict. Each card in Suggested clips in Clips and Thumbs Maker names the kind of moment: Quote, Highlight, Key moment, or a hook (Reveal, Cliffhanger, Tease, Open question, Conflict).

The AI reads the transcript around every moment Podspun found, chooses where the clip should start and end (opening on the hook, closing on the payoff), and rates that clip 1 to 5 for how well it works on its own: 5 grabs attention in the first seconds, pays off (surprising, funny, emotional or useful) and makes sense without the rest of the episode; 1 is filler or needs context. Hover the bars to see the reason.

The Rating dropdown beside the show picker chooses which clips show. All ratings mixes them: the ratings take turns (a 5, a 4, a 3 and so on), newest episodes first, and the same episode never shows twice within four cards. 5 only, 4 and up, and 3 and up show just those clips; pick 5 only to see your best. Make all makes the clips the list is showing, each as its own clip. The rating you pick is remembered on this browser.

A new episode is rated in the background, usually within a few minutes; until then its moments show their kind alone.

Make all, beside Refresh suggestions, makes every suggestion on screen (up to 12) in one click. Each clip uses your saved Preferences and its own show's logo, and an episode with no video becomes an audiogram. They appear in My Outputs.
