How do I start a new post?

Select + New post. The editor opens and asks how you want to start. News Article lays out the post for you: its title as the headline, a lead photo, and the story below. Build Block by Block starts empty and opens the block list. Use Our AI Assistant For Help opens the assistant so you can describe the post in plain words. Close the window to start from an empty post.

The byline fills itself in with your site's default author, or with your only author if the site has one. A post published without a date takes the day it goes live, so it appears at the top of your news list. Set a date in the post's Config tab to use a different one; a future date schedules it.
