Can I see how many people played an episode?
Yes. In Analytics, Top episodes shows each episode's page views, and in brackets how many of those visits started it playing. A play is counted once per visit to the episode page, when the episode starts, including when it starts by itself as the page opens.
Plays are counted for audio episodes, for TikTok and Instagram posts set to "Podspun player", and for YouTube videos set to "Auto play videos". A YouTube video set to "Click start to play" or "Link out to YouTube" plays inside YouTube's own player or on YouTube, which does not tell your site, so those plays only show in YouTube's own numbers. Plays were first counted on October 6, 2026; earlier days show views only.
