Why did my new site get a Categories block, and how do I remove it?
Every new site gets one. When Podspun builds a site from your show, it sorts the episodes three ways (see Site Settings, Content Categories) and puts the Categories block on your home page, after the newest episodes and posts. A show about places (travel, food travel, outdoors, history told place by place) gets Destinations as its first category; every other show gets what fits it, such as cases, guests or topics. The block stays hidden on your live site until there are three cards, and the editor says so. A new site starts with Use Categories on (Site Settings, Content Categories), so it also gets its explorer page in the menu: Social Explorer at /social when the site has TikTok, Instagram or LinkedIn, Explore at /explore when it does not.
To hide the cards everywhere, set Use Categories to No. To remove only the home page block, open the home page in the page editor and delete the block, or turn it off with its On/Off switch. Any show can add it later with Add block, and it fills itself from your episodes.
