Which filters does my Social Explorer show, and can I change them?
Under the clusters, the Social Explorer's sidebar can show five filters: Platform (where each item came from), Where (part of the world, then country), In the Picture (what Podspun sees in each photo), Topics (the topics tagged on each item, with a search box) and Date.
Podspun picks which ones fit your site from what it already read, at no cost: In the Picture when most of your photos show a place, a thing or an activity rather than only people and graphics, Where when a good share of your items are about real places, Platform when you have two or more sources, and Topics and Date always. So a travel or food account gets In the Picture, and a true-crime show, whose photos are mostly people, does not.
In Site Settings, Content Categories, Filters in the sidebar lists all five with Podspun's pick and why, and a Yes or No for each that you can change. A filter with nothing to show stays hidden either way. Sites made before this setting keep all five until you change one.
