Q: How do I build or edit my website?

Go to Website Builder . Click Add Site to create one, or Open Builder on a site to edit it. A brand-new page offers three ways to start: pick a ready-made page layout, build it block by block, or ask the AI assistant. Changes save as a draft until you Publish. The purple Visual Edit button opens the page itself for editing: click text to type, swap images in place, and drag blocks to arrange. Every block, including blocks inside containers, has side handles for changing its width. Full Bleed in Config overrides that width. Free placement adds finer columns and lets you drag blocks around the page. Inside a container, the green insertion line shows where a block will land. Press Escape during a drag or resize to cancel it. You can also reorder blocks with the keyboard: focus a drag handle in the editing panel, press Space to pick up the block, use the arrow keys to move it, and press Space to drop it. Escape cancels the move. Use Undo or Redo to revisit a change.

Before you start

Open the website you intend to change. Decide on its main purpose, the pages visitors need and a small set of brand images. A theme change affects the whole website; a page edit changes that page. Review both before publishing.

Step 1

Choose the site and its design

In Website Builder, open your website, then Site Settings → Theme. Choose a starting palette and review its type, colors, header and footer together.

Use the shared site design for a consistent look across pages. Check that your logo remains readable against both header and footer backgrounds.

Prepare a wide image for a landscape space and a portrait image for a tall space. Set a focal point when a responsive crop would otherwise cut off the important subject.

Step 2

Build the pages you need

Open a page, select Visual Edit and work with its blocks. Edit the selected block's content and layout; use a ready-made layout when you want a complete starting page.

Start with the information a visitor needs: what you do, your latest work, and how to contact you. Keep the main action easy to find.

Use Assets for your pictures and check alternative text. Preview image fitting at narrow widths instead of assuming a desktop crop will work everywhere.

Step 3

Organize your navigation

Open Navigation → Menus and review the main navigation, footer and social links. Give each link a clear label and check its destination.

A page that exists does not automatically belong in every menu. Put the important destinations in the main menu and supporting links in the footer.

Keep social links in the Social menu so features that use your website links can follow the same list.

Step 4

Review and publish

Preview the draft at desktop and mobile widths. Test navigation, buttons, images and forms. Publish the reviewed change, then open the public address.

Save and Publish serve different purposes: review the draft before replacing the public version. A draft preview can be shared for review.

For an unwanted published change, use the page's history to restore an earlier version. Check the restored page before publishing it again.

Review checklist

Theme, logo and type work together.
Menus point to the correct pages.
Desktop and mobile previews are usable.
The public version matches the reviewed draft.

If you get stuck

An image is cropped badly

Adjust its fitting and focal point, or use an image with the right proportions for that space.

The page is missing from the menu

Add its destination in Menu Layouts; creating a page and linking it are separate steps.
