Can a stat show my follower count without me retyping it?

Yes. In a Stats block, each stat has a Value choice. Besides Custom, where you type the number, it lists live figures. Instagram followers, TikTok followers and LinkedIn followers come from each platform's own profile page, read once a week for every account connected to the website. Destinations covered counts every different place your episodes and posts are about, and Countries covered counts the countries among them, articles included. Substack subscribers is the figure your connected Substack shows on its About page; Substack rounds it, so it reads as at least that many (10,000+).

Followers on every social account and Substack adds those live counts, your Substack subscribers, and the accounts Podspun does not read, such as Pinterest, YouTube, Facebook, X and Threads. For those, open your website's Menu Layouts, then Social, and type the number each profile shows in the Followers box beside its link. Update a typed number when it has changed enough to matter. A connected Instagram, TikTok or LinkedIn account is never counted twice.

A live stat needs no upkeep. When you know a better number (a host who has been to 140 countries, where the episodes cover 25), type it in Your Own Number under the stat: it shows instead of the live figure, and clearing it brings the live figure back. A stat with no number at all is left off your live site until it has one.
