Before you start

Open the artwork’s current catalog record and verify its image and identifying information. The certificate is generated from that record, so the record needs to be accurate first.

Step 1

Open the exact artwork record

Open Art Studio and select the artwork for this certificate. Check the image and title together, especially for similar works or editions. The PDF uses the saved catalog record, not a separate form with independent artwork details.

Open the artwork in Art Studio. Confirm you selected the exact work for which you need a certificate.

Step 2

Verify the catalog information

Check title, medium, year, dimensions and any edition information. Correct and save the source record before generating the certificate. Confirm identifying details for this particular work instead of using values from another work in the series.

Review the catalog details used by the certificate, including any identifying or edition information you have entered.

Correct the artwork record before generating the document. Do not rely on a PDF to fix information that is wrong in the source.

Step 3

Download and inspect Certificate PDF

Choose Certificate PDF. Open the download and check its image, identifying information, certificate number, date and signature line before printing or sharing. If the record changes, generate a new PDF; an existing downloaded document cannot update itself.
