How are my TikTok and Instagram posts dated on my website, and why does a clip I posted on both show only once?
Each post carries the date TikTok, Instagram or LinkedIn gives it, and that is the date your website sorts by when it lists your newest posts. One exception: a reel you uploaded earlier and only put on your profile grid later. Instagram still dates it by the upload, so when the daily import finds a post for the first time that was uploaded more than a week earlier, it dates it by the day it reached your profile. It then shows among your newest posts, where your profile shows it. Your first import, and channels set to import only some posts, keep the platform's dates.
When you have both a TikTok and an Instagram channel, a clip you put on both is shown once. Two posts count as the same clip when their captions match (hashtags, mentions and links aside), or when the video runs the same length, went up on both within a few days, and the two captions share their main words. The first upload is the one shown, unless the other copy is a reel that just reached your profile; then that one is shown. The other copy is set aside, not deleted.
