00:00:00
phbe Harris welcome to my podcast thank
00:00:02
you it's good to be here yeah this is
00:00:04
the first time we've met although I've
00:00:05
followed you on Instagram for a while so
00:00:06
I feel like I I know you I and I I'm
00:00:09
surprised to see you and and something
00:00:12
other than swimwear yeah yeah no it's
00:00:14
good to be here and I think I followed
00:00:15
you back today's wife oh God I need to
00:00:17
quickly follow you back before the
00:00:18
podcast so who is Phoebe Harris so I am
00:00:23
a swimmer from New Zealand I was
00:00:25
originally born in England in Plymouth
00:00:28
and I I moved over here when I was two
00:00:31
with Mom and Dad and I've got four
00:00:33
siblings and I grew a real passion for
00:00:36
swimming it was more so just to benefit
00:00:39
me could obviously like living on an
00:00:40
island you kind of want to know how to
00:00:42
swim could the all the drownings and
00:00:44
stuff in New Zealand so that was like a
00:00:46
main priority for Mom and Dad it was
00:00:48
like okay Phoebe you got to learn how to
00:00:49
swim and then it kind of grew a bit of a
00:00:52
passion I was really scared to start
00:00:55
competitive swimming I just wanted to do
00:00:56
it for the fun but then there was a
00:00:58
there was actually a coach that saw many
00:01:00
oh I think you have like you know I
00:01:02
think you've got a real what would you
00:01:05
call it he just saw something in me with
00:01:08
swimming and he just thought you know
00:01:10
you should really give competitive
00:01:11
swimming a try and then I okay you know
00:01:13
and I ended up loving it so literally
00:01:15
that's how my swimming Journey somewhat
00:01:17
happened that's very short kind of brief
00:01:19
description of it but literally yeah I'm
00:01:22
a swimmer um I do a little bit of like
00:01:24
social media I don't like to call it
00:01:27
influencing because I'm not an
00:01:28
influencer i I post about my passion for
00:01:32
swimming and then just led into kind of
00:01:34
all this other cool stuff but swimmer I
00:01:38
like the gym um and somewhat influencer
00:01:42
not really and oh you say you say
00:01:45
somewhat an influencer but your numbers
00:01:47
um on social media are
00:01:49
staggering uh like if you compare say
00:01:52
you but by the way um oh we'll get we'll
00:01:55
get into that in a second but first of
00:01:56
all your parents moving to New Zealand
00:01:58
and teaching you to swim it's such a
00:02:00
funny funny thing because I suppose if
00:02:02
you're from another country you moved to
00:02:03
New Zealand like one of the top reality
00:02:04
shows here is literally pH rescue like a
00:02:07
show based around people drowning at the
00:02:09
beach yeah so it would be quite alarming
00:02:11
so yeah what sort of age so you were two
00:02:13
when you arrived the yeah so I was two
00:02:15
when I arrived and then I would have
00:02:17
started
00:02:18
swimming gosh maybe when I was about 5
00:02:21
to 6 but it was such like casual stuff
00:02:23
like one to two times a week and then I
00:02:25
just kind of kept doing that just as a
00:02:27
kid just for like Fitness and that and
00:02:29
then
00:02:30
eventually I or my parents moved all
00:02:33
over the show so we first started in
00:02:36
Wellington cuz they were obviously from
00:02:38
England and the weather's a bit crap in
00:02:39
England so they okay swe we're going to
00:02:41
move to New Zealand super nice you know
00:02:43
it's a great place to be and all that we
00:02:45
moved to Wellington first mom and D like
00:02:47
what the hell is this it is freezing
00:02:48
it's windy like it's like we're back in
00:02:50
the UK so then and then so my mom and my
00:02:53
sister she went and they checked out
00:02:55
Hawks Bay and they're like oh my gosh
00:02:56
Hawks Bay looks beautiful we're like
00:02:58
okay you know so then we move moved over
00:03:00
there and then I grew up in like Hawks
00:03:02
Bay and that's when I first started
00:03:04
swimming um I can't remember the guy who
00:03:06
coached me but I I just you know learned
00:03:09
to swim and all that nothing really too
00:03:11
cool but yeah and then I was in Hawks
00:03:13
Bay for a bit and then gosh and then I
00:03:15
think we moved to Wellington where I
00:03:17
actually started swimming a bit more
00:03:19
often I was probably about 7 7 to 8 I
00:03:22
think but it was um and I swam at Ty
00:03:25
swimming club it was my first ever Club
00:03:27
I think people don't know that about me
00:03:29
I actually started at to Swimming Club
00:03:31
um and that's kind of where I got more
00:03:35
into like competitive swimming but I was
00:03:36
always like no no no I don't want to
00:03:38
swim like didn't I didn't like the
00:03:41
pressure and I was just a kid and I was
00:03:42
playing around all the time and I just
00:03:44
didn't you know want all that but no T
00:03:47
swimming club is when I first started
00:03:49
but yeah we my parents honestly I think
00:03:51
I've lived in like 15 different houses
00:03:53
or more just Mom and Dad could never
00:03:56
settle dad would be like oh there's a
00:03:58
new like something new and shiny oh
00:03:59
there new job you know going oh yeah oh
00:04:01
yeah we go for this and then Mom will be
00:04:03
okay well you know we'll go we'll go
00:04:05
check it out and stuff how's that as as
00:04:07
a as a kid or at school age quite
00:04:09
distressing uh honestly it wasn't too
00:04:13
bad because all the moving was happening
00:04:15
when I was in primary it wasn't so much
00:04:18
when I was in intermediate or high
00:04:19
school I feel like that's when like
00:04:20
people can like Bully and all that it's
00:04:23
kind of in those ages so I was kind of
00:04:25
protected because I was within like a
00:04:26
primary school age so honestly it was
00:04:29
wasn't really too bad actually oh that's
00:04:31
cool and and how how good are you so
00:04:33
you're a you're a breast stroker yeah so
00:04:35
like a longdistance breast stroker so
00:04:38
it's so it started off as I was a like I
00:04:42
think when you're swimming you try all
00:04:43
different types of Strokes out so when I
00:04:45
like let's just start it from when I was
00:04:47
12 years old I was a gosh I think I did
00:04:50
backstroke I was a backstroker like now
00:04:52
I can't even swim backstroke I'm
00:04:53
terrible at it so I was backstroke the
00:04:55
start and I did like a little bit of
00:04:56
Sprint backstroke then when I moved it
00:04:58
to my club and Orland I think one of the
00:05:01
coach was oh let's get into distance
00:05:02
freestyle that was a very painful time
00:05:05
distance freestyle gosh well what's
00:05:08
distance what mean over 200 over 400
00:05:11
yeah like 800 I'd always be that like
00:05:14
sad kid at the end of the me like
00:05:16
waiting for my event and then it's when
00:05:17
everyone kind of leaves the pool because
00:05:19
it's like the distance events the boring
00:05:21
events to watch back in obviously I
00:05:24
wasn't very fast at it so but then so
00:05:26
yeah honestly it was like distance
00:05:28
freestyle and then I did a little little
00:05:29
bit of like Open Water Swimming which
00:05:31
was great fun actually and I actually
00:05:33
was sponsored by Blue 70 for a little
00:05:35
bit they're like the top like wet suit
00:05:37
kind of brand so that was quite cool to
00:05:39
get like funded with wet suits and that
00:05:42
but yeah literally distance freestyle
00:05:44
and then it moved to breast stroke
00:05:45
distance breast stroke and then when I
00:05:47
came to at the time PSC could obviously
00:05:50
Club 37 now but it's was PSC before puka
00:05:53
swimming club I turned into a Sprint
00:05:55
breast stroker I blame my partner
00:05:58
because he got me in into loving the gym
00:06:01
and that's kind of where I put it on
00:06:03
like put a bit more muscle on and that
00:06:05
and wasn't as built for those distance
00:06:07
event so it just got shorter and shorter
00:06:10
now you can only get me swim one lap of
00:06:11
breast troat which is 50 breasts and
00:06:13
that's all I'd really do in the pool so
00:06:15
so you you you blame your partner that's
00:06:17
um Josh who's here today yeah yeah he's
00:06:19
a swimmer as well yeah so Josh is a
00:06:21
swimmer too and um yeah he he definitely
00:06:23
got me more into the gym in that but I
00:06:25
love the gym and it's been cool cuz I've
00:06:27
been taking a big step back from
00:06:29
swimming and I kind of needed something
00:06:31
to preoccupy my time and you know I just
00:06:35
I love the gym so I'm I'm thankful for
00:06:37
it because it gave me more of a pathway
00:06:39
Beyond swimming but I never used to love
00:06:41
the gym so much so yeah because you
00:06:43
seemed a little bit uncomfortable just
00:06:44
before like referring to yourself as an
00:06:46
influencer but um I mean you definitely
00:06:49
have an entrepreneurial spirit and
00:06:50
you've done very well for yourself like
00:06:52
it seems like you're doing incredible
00:06:54
stuff um you know on that side of things
00:06:58
um you know out of the
00:07:00
um probably financially better than most
00:07:02
swimmers to be fair um but could like if
00:07:05
you kept at it could you make the
00:07:06
Olympics or Comm war games or are you
00:07:07
not quite at that sort of I think like
00:07:11
it was back in like 2019 I had like
00:07:13
astounding swim and I was like on top of
00:07:15
the like I was just on top of the world
00:07:17
I was so happy and the Olympic dream
00:07:19
kind of could I I think I took like
00:07:21
honestly like six or seven seconds off
00:07:24
one of my um best times in the 200
00:07:26
breast stroke and I was like yeah you
00:07:28
know like Olympics you know I'm just
00:07:29
going to do do that again and I qualify
00:07:31
but I feel like when you get a little
00:07:33
bit older you it's like a bit of a
00:07:35
reality check and it's kind of like
00:07:38
there's so much goes into swimming like
00:07:40
the kid like the commitments you have to
00:07:42
make and it's just like I have so much
00:07:46
respect for people who make the Olympics
00:07:47
because I know how much time and effort
00:07:49
and the amount of time I would put into
00:07:51
my swimming probably times up by 10
00:07:53
that's like what you have to do to be
00:07:55
the best so I kind of accepted that I
00:07:58
wasn't going to be Olympian in probably
00:08:01
2022 23 but I was like content and happy
00:08:05
because I think a lot of people's dreams
00:08:06
are to make the Olympics but mine wasn't
00:08:09
really to make the Olympics I just
00:08:11
especially my like last kind of years of
00:08:13
swimming competitively it was just more
00:08:14
so to have fun and have a good time and
00:08:17
to better myself because I think we
00:08:20
always have this like scale of swimming
00:08:23
and it's like you either have to make
00:08:24
the Olympics or you know you're not
00:08:26
going to you you know you haven't
00:08:28
achieved anything the sport but I feel
00:08:29
like a very important thing is we come
00:08:32
so far we don't stop to turn around and
00:08:34
look at how far we've come I think of it
00:08:37
like steps and you're walking at the
00:08:38
steps and you're always looking above
00:08:40
like what's next what's next but it's
00:08:41
like oh my gosh like I have achieved so
00:08:43
much in my swimming career so I was I
00:08:46
was content and it honestly it doesn't
00:08:48
phase me too much then I won't ever have
00:08:50
the Olympic status but that's okay you
00:08:53
know I'm fine with it so yeah it is I
00:08:55
think it's like it's like the iceberg
00:08:56
and people don't don't um see the um the
00:08:58
bit that's under the water all the hard
00:09:00
work that goes into it um just before we
00:09:03
started I was talking to you and your
00:09:04
partner about this and I just don't
00:09:06
understand swimming like the amount of
00:09:07
work that goes into it even for the you
00:09:09
know the the like the school age levels
00:09:11
you know you have thousands of kids that
00:09:13
have their parents driving them to the
00:09:14
pool at 4:00 a.m. 5: a.m. in the morning
00:09:16
then they're doing a day at school so
00:09:18
much work required yeah 100% it's hard
00:09:21
and like I think now especially like
00:09:24
giving back like Mom and Dad were well
00:09:26
since I was like 12 mom and dad were
00:09:28
always dropping me off at training at
00:09:29
like 5:00 a.m. in the morning and just
00:09:32
just doing everything for me and
00:09:33
supporting and I know when my there was
00:09:36
a situation my mom's sister
00:09:37
unfortunately passed away this was
00:09:39
probably about 2015 2016 but a lot of
00:09:42
that kind of somewhat inherited money
00:09:44
went towards my swimming because it was
00:09:46
like Mom knew that would make her sister
00:09:48
proud and that's one thing that I really
00:09:49
cherish that like Mom did that for me so
00:09:52
like right now it's like give back to
00:09:53
mom and dad you know like give back for
00:09:55
like all they've done to me and stuff so
00:09:57
but honestly like the parent of swimming
00:10:00
like credit to them because it's it's
00:10:01
not easy but the only thing with parents
00:10:03
is you cannot put too much pressure on
00:10:06
your kids in swimming because it's just
00:10:08
like especially like now being 22 all
00:10:12
those swimmers with over kind of
00:10:15
competitive and pushy parents none of
00:10:17
them last in the sport and I I actually
00:10:19
heard um Adam py actually amazing
00:10:21
amazing swimmer he actually talked about
00:10:24
that with like strict parents with
00:10:26
swimming and it was just like you really
00:10:28
you don't go as far as if you have
00:10:30
loving you know supportive parents but
00:10:33
I've seen all you know I've seen all of
00:10:34
it through my career and that and it's
00:10:36
just um you got to be supportive because
00:10:38
it's enough pressure on it own God why
00:10:41
why would parents be strict about it
00:10:42
like if it was me I'd be like hey Phoebe
00:10:45
if you don't want to go to the pool
00:10:46
tomorrow morning at 5:00 that's cool we
00:10:47
can sleep in God I wish I wish or else
00:10:50
you use my use my phone take an Uber
00:10:53
yeah yeah yeah oh gosh oh I wish my
00:10:55
parents would like you know I'm there'd
00:10:56
be times at 5:00 a.m. and they'd like
00:10:58
come to um come into my bedroom like
00:11:00
phebe it's training like oh no go away
00:11:03
can my my old swimming group gosh it was
00:11:05
strict it was you make eight sessions a
00:11:08
week or you get three strikes and then
00:11:10
you're out and it's just like and even
00:11:12
if you're sick I remember my old
00:11:14
swimming coach um honestly if even if I
00:11:17
was sick and I would tell her she
00:11:19
wouldn't believe me like she'd be
00:11:21
disappointed that I'd text him oh hey
00:11:22
I'm sick I can't make it like I was yeah
00:11:25
it was a bit of a toxic relationship
00:11:26
that one but it was um that's a eight
00:11:29
awake so you're you're how old like
00:11:30
secondary school so oh my so I would
00:11:32
have been 13 and actually I was in
00:11:36
intermediate year 8 and I was swimming
00:11:38
eight times a week going to school so
00:11:40
you'd wake up 5:00 a.m. you'd go
00:11:42
swimming up until hop in the port 6 hop
00:11:45
out at
00:11:46
7:45 then get to school at probably 8:15
00:11:50
p.m. a.m.
00:11:52
sorry yeah gosh now I think about it now
00:11:55
school from 9 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. back to
00:11:59
training at for yeah gosh yeah were you
00:12:01
falling asleep in class oh honestly
00:12:04
especially in high school but I kind of
00:12:06
like I was a bit of like the teacher pet
00:12:07
like my Deputy um well we call them our
00:12:10
Dean not like principal but they're like
00:12:12
below little bit below a headed
00:12:14
Department yeah yeah and they were um
00:12:17
Mrs header actually she was cool and she
00:12:19
was like amazing cuz she just like like
00:12:21
understood like this the Troubles of
00:12:24
swimming and that and then if I'd fall
00:12:25
asleep in class the teacher would be
00:12:27
like we're sending you to the de and I'd
00:12:28
be like okay like that's all right and
00:12:30
then I actually got I was doing five
00:12:32
periods on year 1 my last year of school
00:12:36
usually people do like five periods I
00:12:37
was only doing four and then I got one
00:12:39
study period when I'd get to go to the
00:12:41
library so sometimes I'd just go home
00:12:43
and not come back to school it was quite
00:12:44
cheeky of me but I was like the school
00:12:46
was actually pretty supportive with sing
00:12:48
so and were you okay at school what what
00:12:51
did you want to do what what were you
00:12:53
what were your goals and aspirations
00:12:54
when you're at school do you know I I
00:12:57
didn't do bad at school but I was always
00:13:00
kind of my brain thinks differently I'm
00:13:03
not like the academic type you know I'd
00:13:06
usually yeah you know I was good at we
00:13:08
used do like Fabrics which is like
00:13:10
sewing and that I would always do
00:13:11
fabrics and make so many bloody pillows
00:13:13
it's so funny but maths wasn't good at
00:13:16
maths English I was all right but my
00:13:18
spelling is atrocious still is so no I
00:13:21
wasn't really the school type I kind of
00:13:23
just always knew I wanted to be
00:13:26
different and do different things and
00:13:29
yeah I wasn't really the school type
00:13:31
unfortunately so so when did social
00:13:33
media sort of become a thing in your
00:13:35
life uh you we'll we'll get into that
00:13:37
now so um 343,000 followers on Tik Tok
00:13:41
this is at the time we're recording this
00:13:42
and one of those videos has 17 million
00:13:44
views which is [ __ ] insane right it's
00:13:48
a crazy number um and all that is is
00:13:50
just you in your togs pushing yourself
00:13:53
out of the pool and then sitting sitting
00:13:54
on the edge you know the your bum's
00:13:56
right there but you're wearing TOS you
00:13:57
got swim with yeah um Instagram 182,000
00:14:01
followers you scroll through lots of
00:14:04
lots of to and butt shots but again it's
00:14:06
just swimming related yeah um what else
00:14:09
is there oh March 2018 you had a post
00:14:12
I'm happy because I just hit 10,000
00:14:13
followers oh yeah oh wow was that in
00:14:15
2018 March 2018 so that was uh 6 years
00:14:18
ago M so that's I suppose 10,000
00:14:20
followers back then on Instagram was
00:14:22
quite a lot of quite quite big yeah how
00:14:24
old were you then what are 6 years ago
00:14:27
gosh your current
00:14:29
Cy meths when about what 16 15 kind of
00:14:34
around that gosh 10,000 I think like so
00:14:38
how I started social media was back when
00:14:40
I was so it was when we first moved up
00:14:42
to ockland when I was 12 like so my
00:14:44
parents moved all over the show and
00:14:46
stuff and I started swimming and I
00:14:48
remember it was at my sister's wedding
00:14:51
one of my sisters got married and we
00:14:53
were in this like beautiful like venue
00:14:55
in there and they had a really nice pool
00:14:57
and my one of my Elder sisters I've got
00:14:58
a lot of sister sisters with three
00:15:00
sisters and um my sister Susie she took
00:15:03
a photo of me and I was kind of in TOs
00:15:06
and it was like I saw I was oh that's
00:15:08
quite cool you know I quite like that
00:15:09
and I was only like 12 at the time and
00:15:11
that kind of like started the kind of
00:15:13
passion for like taking photos and then
00:15:17
literally just did that up until
00:15:19
obviously now still doing it in that but
00:15:21
it' always be a constant B for my mom
00:15:23
because obviously I was like 13 but I
00:15:26
was around a lot of older Summers so it
00:15:28
kind of like didn't force me to grow up
00:15:29
faster but it kind of make me I don't
00:15:32
know when you're like 13 14 you do need
00:15:34
to be careful what you're posting but
00:15:36
constant battle with mom like take that
00:15:38
down you know that's too runchy and all
00:15:40
that and I oh Mom you know like oh but
00:15:43
literally just started posting swimming
00:15:46
and I think people followed me because I
00:15:47
was swimming and I was doing something
00:15:49
different cuz I think social media now
00:15:52
it's so popular everyone's doing it but
00:15:54
I think back when I started doing it no
00:15:56
one was really doing that type of social
00:15:58
media so you got a lot of stick for it
00:16:00
like I got gosh my like my whole life
00:16:04
like especially within swimming like I
00:16:06
was going to talk about this a little
00:16:07
bit but the swimming community was
00:16:10
absolutely terrible to me when I was
00:16:11
taking photos and togs and that and it
00:16:13
was kind of like someone what was doing
00:16:15
something different and it was oh you
00:16:17
know like rip into her you know like
00:16:18
bring her down because I was just being
00:16:20
different and doing different stuff but
00:16:22
it didn't stop me that I just kept doing
00:16:24
it and I didn't listen to what they said
00:16:27
but there would be some really really
00:16:28
hurtful stuff and like um what age are
00:16:30
we talking here like secondary scho AG
00:16:32
14 15 like it was bad and like I
00:16:36
remember I'd be like crying to Mom and
00:16:38
just like but I I wasn't a mean person
00:16:40
or anything it was just because I was
00:16:42
people's perception and I still get this
00:16:44
now was me on social media like that's
00:16:46
what they thought I was like but I think
00:16:48
when you meet me I'm completely
00:16:49
different to what I portray on social
00:16:52
media but I just think that swimming
00:16:54
community back then when I was that age
00:16:56
was so hurtful and I don't think but it
00:16:59
was so fresh what I was doing people
00:17:00
didn't know how to take it and it was
00:17:02
just the only way to get my attention
00:17:04
was to hat on me was instead of being
00:17:06
positive like you know good on her you
00:17:08
know don't expect them to bow down to me
00:17:10
but you know like oh good on her for
00:17:11
doing that like you know that's cool but
00:17:14
gosh you yeah it's it's funny he because
00:17:17
I suppose at that age like say 13 14 15
00:17:19
or whatever I mean you're just a gill on
00:17:22
TOS I suppose there is I don't maybe
00:17:25
there is like a slight sexual element to
00:17:27
it but that's more to do with people
00:17:29
that are viewing it or how they view it
00:17:30
than anything so I can understand your
00:17:32
mom your reservations that's just or
00:17:35
maybe even one of your senior coaches or
00:17:37
whatever but everyone else it's just got
00:17:39
to be jealousy right oh it was just like
00:17:42
people just had no idea how to take it
00:17:44
and it was just like it would actually
00:17:46
put me off so much that I wouldn't even
00:17:47
want to take photos like pide it's oh no
00:17:49
like I really want to take this photo
00:17:51
but it was like you just get so much
00:17:53
[ __ ] and I was just oh God but
00:17:55
especially like when I was younger too
00:17:56
like obviously like the photos I take
00:17:58
would be more runchy I'm not doing like
00:18:00
super runchy stuff on Instagram but you
00:18:02
know they would still they wouldn't they
00:18:04
wouldn't be horrific but I understand
00:18:05
like obviously young girl and like
00:18:06
bikini and that but it was just God
00:18:10
growing up just within swimming and that
00:18:11
and it was just funny like people that
00:18:13
would like hatle me and Bully me and
00:18:16
honestly make my life a living hell I
00:18:18
think I actually got like attacked in a
00:18:20
warmup pool by Gil for no reason just
00:18:23
because of probably because of social
00:18:24
media I what what do you mean attack
00:18:27
verbally or physically
00:18:29
what happened I need to remember I swear
00:18:32
she swam into me and then I was like
00:18:36
like swam directly into me and I got
00:18:37
like a big like cut on my nose but she
00:18:39
knew exactly like who I was and like
00:18:40
what she was doing and then um we
00:18:44
actually after the swimming meat we had
00:18:45
like a paintball game or something and
00:18:48
you know when you finish paintball
00:18:49
they're like um you know they're like
00:18:51
stop or you know stop shooting and stuff
00:18:53
she literally stood like I swear oh my
00:18:56
gosh like 20 30 cm away from me and just
00:18:58
boom boom boom with a paintball gun for
00:19:00
no reason like I don't even know didn't
00:19:02
even know who she was but just
00:19:04
constantly just people like like Phoebe
00:19:06
like bring it down on that and but what
00:19:08
what I was going to say before was that
00:19:09
there was um I'm not going to obviously
00:19:12
drop names but you know people like post
00:19:14
like being horrible to me and all that
00:19:16
and like you know like literally
00:19:18
commenting hate on my page and stuff but
00:19:20
then you know a couple months later or
00:19:22
something posting on the Facebook
00:19:24
timeline about like suicide prevention I
00:19:26
was just thinking it's great you're
00:19:28
promoting that awareness but it was just
00:19:31
like oh I just didn't I just the
00:19:33
hypocrisy of it you can both ways I just
00:19:36
was just like honestly I don't know what
00:19:39
to call it but I was just like if you
00:19:41
preach that then actually do it you know
00:19:43
like but I just yeah again I look back
00:19:45
and oh my gosh I would never relive
00:19:47
those years but didn't stop me and now
00:19:49
I'm just like it's all paid off [ __ ]
00:19:52
they must hate you now this is before
00:19:54
you were making money out of it and now
00:19:56
you live a I yeah I follow you on
00:19:58
Instagram you have a very very good life
00:19:59
and you're doing very well for yourself
00:20:01
thank you um and we've been we've been
00:20:03
talking for 20 minutes like um and I I
00:20:05
think me and anyone that's watching or
00:20:07
listening to this will get the
00:20:08
impression of who you are you're like
00:20:10
you're you're a polite and lovely young
00:20:13
woman you know it's what what kept you
00:20:15
going why why did you keep why did you
00:20:17
stick to your guns so what kept me going
00:20:19
was so I exboyfriend now he was kind of
00:20:24
like when I'd get a lot of hate he was
00:20:26
very supportive and would always have my
00:20:28
best so I think that honestly that
00:20:31
genuinely helped shake my image now
00:20:33
because I always had like that supporter
00:20:35
and he was honestly anyone would be
00:20:37
horrible to me he'd take them on so it
00:20:38
was kind of oh bit of a relief like a
00:20:39
bodyguard it was great but um honestly
00:20:43
that I had a few good friends and I was
00:20:45
never the popular type in swimming like
00:20:48
I would only have a few friends could
00:20:49
everyone that would make like New
00:20:50
Zealand teams and that would have all
00:20:52
these friends in there but I always had
00:20:54
like a few little handpick mates that
00:20:55
I'd talk to but um honestly a few few
00:20:58
good friends obviously my partner at the
00:21:00
time and then just family like was just
00:21:03
the best like you just got to you got to
00:21:06
have fixed skin but eventually as I just
00:21:09
kept getting hate and all that I just
00:21:11
kind of just you just eventually get
00:21:14
immune to it and I think oh I so many
00:21:16
conversations with my sisters and my mom
00:21:17
on there and it was just don't take it
00:21:19
to heart you know sweep it off you know
00:21:21
I feel like when people are mean to you
00:21:23
that's more of a refle reflection of
00:21:26
themselves supposed to reflection of
00:21:29
themselves and what they're dealing with
00:21:31
I think like they needed to take it out
00:21:32
on someone and I was just there doing
00:21:34
well and I was just like Ripp into
00:21:36
Phoebe you know so but it's okay you
00:21:39
know and it's made me who I am today I
00:21:41
think it's very common I think a lot of
00:21:43
people go through this but it's just um
00:21:46
it's just life isn't it we yeah it is it
00:21:49
is but it depends on I sort of find um
00:21:52
what stuff I get it depends on how
00:21:54
you're feeling day by day so some days I
00:21:56
can feel [ __ ]
00:21:57
bulletproof you send me the meanest pile
00:22:00
of [ __ ] in the world and it'll just I'll
00:22:03
laugh at it and it'll be water off a
00:22:04
duck's back and other days you can be
00:22:05
feeling a little bit sensitive and it
00:22:07
really [ __ ] hurts or you can be moody
00:22:09
sometimes especially being a girl you
00:22:10
know get a bit Moody sometimes so um so
00:22:13
yeah so January 2022 um that's when you
00:22:15
launched only fans yes there's a post um
00:22:18
swimmer girl from New Zealand showcasing
00:22:20
exclusive content enjoy the ride and
00:22:22
travel along with me how do how long has
00:22:25
only fans been about a lot of people
00:22:27
won't even know I don't know much about
00:22:28
only fans a lot of people won't know
00:22:30
much at all only fans have been around
00:22:31
for a few years before that I think they
00:22:33
started in like 2016 I think only fans
00:22:36
started but I think like the guy who
00:22:38
created it earned like something crazy
00:22:41
in profit because he owns like the full
00:22:43
company I think so I think he was making
00:22:45
billions of like profit yearly but so
00:22:49
what happened was H when did this happen
00:22:52
let me think so lockdown started this
00:22:55
wasn't the first one this was like the
00:22:56
second one in like 2021
00:22:58
and I started a patreon so patreon is
00:23:01
like I didn't want to do only fans
00:23:03
because I didn't want to go on that like
00:23:06
I think there's a lot of stigma with
00:23:07
only fans with the pornography and all
00:23:09
that so I was like no no I want to stick
00:23:10
to obviously um patreon and I did
00:23:14
patreon for a bit but you really
00:23:15
couldn't monetize yourself well because
00:23:17
you people couldn't send tips to you can
00:23:19
not only fans you can send tips it was
00:23:21
like one base subscription price and
00:23:23
that's all kind of the income you could
00:23:24
get from it so I started patum which was
00:23:27
like a nice way to lightly kind of warm
00:23:30
it up because it got people more used to
00:23:32
like phoe's offering a subscription
00:23:33
based like platform I think back then
00:23:36
only fans was like oh my gosh like that
00:23:38
is just atrocious like you were terrible
00:23:41
like because it's just like the stigma
00:23:43
around only fans is like it's terrible
00:23:46
but I had like the sign I actually had
00:23:47
someone from only fans directly reach
00:23:50
out to me and said hey look like would
00:23:51
you start only fans like we're a great
00:23:53
platform I I know all about only fans
00:23:55
and that but I kind of had like a talk
00:23:57
with um them on only fans and stuff and
00:24:00
we actually they did a launch for me
00:24:01
they put like a video together and
00:24:03
launch it on the only fans Instagram I
00:24:05
think but yeah I moved to the platform
00:24:07
in January yeah 2022 and like it was
00:24:11
like crazy like I think obviously my I
00:24:15
had the perfect Target Mark obviously I
00:24:18
have a high male following and it was
00:24:20
just like the male audience was just
00:24:21
like bom went straight in there and it
00:24:23
was it was great but it was like it was
00:24:27
a lot of money and it was kind of like I
00:24:29
had to talk to people CU I was like oh
00:24:30
my gosh I have you know I'm not bragging
00:24:33
but you know a lot of money was coming
00:24:34
in like I I was on like wins at one
00:24:37
stage when I was swimming and then so
00:24:39
like all this money and I think like
00:24:40
within my family we've never cuz like
00:24:43
completely self-made never grew up
00:24:45
privileged like like I said like I'm I
00:24:47
have four order siblings and mom and dad
00:24:49
we weren't you know poor but we weren't
00:24:51
like doing amazing like I a lot of the
00:24:54
money was kind of swimming money was
00:24:56
inherited from obviously my mom's sister
00:24:58
so that was what was supporting me in
00:25:00
that and my parents have so many bloody
00:25:02
kids and kids are so expensive so I
00:25:04
blame them partly for what are you like
00:25:06
how much money are you talking about
00:25:07
early on oh when I when I was first
00:25:11
started I'm not going to drop like
00:25:13
actual figures that's entirely up to you
00:25:15
but uh I I think this is aspirational
00:25:18
yeah well prob maybe like my first few
00:25:20
months on o I probably would have been
00:25:23
making over like 40,000 New Zealand a
00:25:26
month when I like 19 20 years old yeah
00:25:30
and that all that money at the time then
00:25:32
was like oh my gosh and obviously you
00:25:33
got to pay tax on that so it was like
00:25:35
quick get an accountant you know like
00:25:37
find an accountant and my first account
00:25:39
actually kind of got it wasn't bad but
00:25:41
he kind of took I think advantage of me
00:25:43
cuz I was young and he was charging like
00:25:45
crazy prices in that but then it was a
00:25:48
lot of money and then obviously like you
00:25:51
know now it definitely makes like a lot
00:25:53
more than that now but it was just like
00:25:55
when it first started it was like oh my
00:25:57
gosh like what do I do
00:25:58
and then my partner was um could
00:26:01
obviously have to like having a partner
00:26:03
and having only fans it can be a bit
00:26:05
like you know what are you doing and
00:26:06
that but you just got to have like a o
00:26:08
Open honest relationship about it all
00:26:10
and um you know we kind of set barriers
00:26:13
and all that and like what and what
00:26:15
feels most comfortable for me to doing
00:26:16
that and um but yeah it was a shock it's
00:26:19
just like the power of only fans is just
00:26:21
like oh my gosh like the money and um
00:26:24
but as well like with what I'm earning I
00:26:26
could earn so much more if you step in
00:26:29
that other boundary of like pornography
00:26:31
but I will never go down that route if
00:26:35
people want to do that 100% that's up to
00:26:37
them and all that but I just think with
00:26:39
me it's nice to I'm just I'm comfortable
00:26:42
where I am and I think especially when
00:26:44
you start it you have a boundary and
00:26:47
it's so easy to overstep that boundary
00:26:49
because obviously when money is involved
00:26:50
in that it's oh you know it's
00:26:51
intoxicating yeah and then you end up
00:26:53
looking and you know overstepping
00:26:55
overstepping you end up looking back
00:26:57
you're like oh my gosh like
00:26:59
not you know I've gone too far and you
00:27:01
once anything that's on the internet
00:27:03
stays on the internet so you got to
00:27:05
literally be sure everything you post
00:27:07
like okay you know cuz obviously like
00:27:09
content gets leaked on only fans because
00:27:11
some people don't want to pay and just
00:27:13
all sorts of stuff so like only fans
00:27:16
amazing great and all that but it comes
00:27:18
with a lot of negatives and I think or
00:27:20
just the stigma and connotations from oh
00:27:23
100% just like I just I think I posted
00:27:27
in like close friends and in like hey
00:27:28
guys I'm stting only fans and that and
00:27:31
but honestly my friend group has been
00:27:33
like absolutely like amazing with it and
00:27:36
like I haven't lost any friends doing
00:27:38
only fans or anything like I have a
00:27:40
small tight Circle and that's like all I
00:27:42
need in my life like I've just got my
00:27:44
good girlfriends and obviously like good
00:27:46
partner and a good family and that but
00:27:49
um it's cool like only fans is great but
00:27:52
I think one thing that does get a bit
00:27:54
annoying is people like it's so easy
00:27:56
like only fans is so easy
00:27:59
it's really not that easy because you
00:28:00
really need to have that platform behind
00:28:02
you to even get subscribers and I feel
00:28:04
like when you're starting off you know
00:28:06
some people can overp that boundary I
00:28:09
think the way I do early fans I think it
00:28:11
can be a little bit harder but
00:28:13
everyone's going to say it's so easy in
00:28:14
that because obviously there's good
00:28:15
money in it but I just it's not as easy
00:28:18
as it looks and like I said it's a job
00:28:20
as well isn't it you're very well paid
00:28:22
it's a very well paid job but you need
00:28:24
to put the work in so um yeah I've never
00:28:29
subscribed to anyone on only fans and
00:28:30
there's probably a lot of people
00:28:31
listening or watching that haven't
00:28:32
either so so you go through and then
00:28:34
there's like tears yeah so are not not
00:28:37
so much tear like so you have
00:28:41
the like um you go to like only fans and
00:28:44
you have like the only fans page and you
00:28:45
can kind of customize it how you want so
00:28:47
I've got like you get like a profile
00:28:49
picture and a cover photo like Facebook
00:28:51
and then it kind of says subscribe and
00:28:53
then you get access to all like unlocked
00:28:56
media and a lot of people do it
00:28:57
different so you can do a free
00:29:00
subscription so people can subscribe to
00:29:02
only fans are free but you have a lot of
00:29:04
paid messages behind it so they want to
00:29:06
see more content of you they have to pay
00:29:08
to see it my one is that you sub you pay
00:29:11
to subscribe I think it's 25 viewers to
00:29:14
subscribe and then for a month for a
00:29:17
month yeah for a month and then after
00:29:19
that then you have like mess messaging
00:29:21
and like messages and all that and then
00:29:23
people can obviously go through and
00:29:25
unlock custom messages and that but I
00:29:27
think like
00:29:28
what's what's a custom oh like a direct
00:29:30
conversation with you yeah not so much
00:29:32
that like custom like video so someone
00:29:36
might be like here we go someone might
00:29:38
like feet and they' be like look can you
00:29:40
get your toes done and I want to get a
00:29:42
video of you scrunching your feet or
00:29:44
something like honestly it's not even
00:29:46
like has to be crazy runchy content it's
00:29:49
just like just weird FSH stuff a lot of
00:29:51
people just want to have a genuine
00:29:53
conversation I think my platform as well
00:29:56
I've got I haven't got thousands and
00:29:58
thousands of subscribers on there I just
00:30:00
have like a good amount of subscribers
00:30:03
and basically it keeps the group more
00:30:05
like tight and like I don't know like
00:30:08
and I I do all my messages as well a lot
00:30:11
of people use like Mass like messaging
00:30:13
like companies and that that actually
00:30:15
message on their behalf but I like
00:30:17
genuinely I sit down every day and I'm
00:30:19
doing the messages and talking so people
00:30:21
know it's actually me but a lot of those
00:30:23
like top top creators obviously be
00:30:24
getting so many messages a day they do
00:30:27
need to get help from like messaging
00:30:28
teams and that but I I yeah I try to
00:30:31
keep it very much like a tight close
00:30:34
niit group and then obviously have like
00:30:36
a separate like um you know a
00:30:39
relationship with every single person on
00:30:40
there you know and literally most of my
00:30:43
subscribers we just talk about swimming
00:30:44
and how their day was and I hurt my knee
00:30:47
in the gym last week and I was like oh
00:30:48
like Runing to a few I'm like Oh my knee
00:30:50
I hurt my knee it's so annoying like and
00:30:53
just like and a lot of the like swimming
00:30:54
fans you know they like swimming in that
00:30:56
and um I was have a fans Ley as well so
00:30:59
you have fansy so fley is like only fans
00:31:02
literally the exact same but I have fans
00:31:04
Ley fley is more targeted towards my New
00:31:06
Zealand followers because I gone my fans
00:31:10
Le more around like a New Zealand time
00:31:12
whereas a lot of my only fans followers
00:31:14
are like American and that so I kind of
00:31:16
have to fix kind of like get in the
00:31:19
right time zone and obviously time zones
00:31:20
are quite different so fans leads more
00:31:22
towards like my New Zealand subscribers
00:31:25
but a lot of my followers are kind of
00:31:26
like International like Americans and
00:31:28
kind of all that but it's
00:31:31
um it's a cool lifestyle but obviously
00:31:34
you know but again with the money it's
00:31:37
great but you have to diversify because
00:31:40
I can't do only fans forever like no
00:31:42
one's going want to see bloody 50 year
00:31:43
old wrinkly woman in front of the camera
00:31:45
so it's kind of like or actually know
00:31:47
maybe people do there's all sorts of
00:31:49
niches in that but I don't want to be
00:31:51
doing it forever and that so it's it's a
00:31:52
great base to build some wealth and like
00:31:56
I've seen it all like Tik Tok and that
00:31:57
and you have one big moneyb building
00:32:00
like wealth tool tool so if you have
00:32:02
like a successful business or successful
00:32:04
only fans in that and then you Branch
00:32:06
out to other streams of income so I
00:32:09
actually do a bit of like property
00:32:10
investing too so I have a few properties
00:32:13
so you could call me like a landlord I
00:32:14
guess and I have a few properties I've
00:32:16
got I've got not a landlord you're a
00:32:18
tycoon yeah well I've got I've got three
00:32:21
at the moment but I've I've actually was
00:32:23
lucky to get a mentor so we've been
00:32:25
talking about kind of doing it
00:32:26
differently CU I was kind of buying new
00:32:28
build properties at the time but we're
00:32:30
we're we're looking at it like in a
00:32:32
different way now um but yes literally
00:32:35
like yeah I have my property investment
00:32:38
and um I obiously have a fitness app
00:32:41
called Fizz fit and that was kind of
00:32:43
just um just creating something new you
00:32:47
know and that was cool so that's like a
00:32:49
fitness app that I have as well that
00:32:51
people can um if they need like a
00:32:53
fitness program or like a meal plan
00:32:55
cated to like their needs or something
00:32:57
then they can do that and it's actually
00:32:58
C for like most ages too so that's
00:33:01
pretty good thinking what else do I do
00:33:03
to earn I was a bit of like an
00:33:05
entrepreneur when I was younger I
00:33:08
started like a selling account when I
00:33:10
was younger and I'd like go to the op
00:33:12
shop and I'd buy clothing and I'd like
00:33:13
resell it this is before like anyone was
00:33:16
doing it right and I would like resell
00:33:18
stuff from like the op shop and then to
00:33:20
just earn a bit of money I've always
00:33:21
kind of had that Hustler's mentality
00:33:24
yeah honestly just like always found a
00:33:25
way to make money in whatever way I
00:33:27
needed in that and like I hand on my
00:33:29
heart I can say as well like only fans
00:33:32
is is great but it kind of my Instagram
00:33:35
wasn't to earn money it was just cuz I
00:33:37
had a passion I enjoyed it a lot of like
00:33:39
people with successful businesses you
00:33:41
can't really be in it for the money you
00:33:43
have to kind of you want have to make a
00:33:46
want to make a change and it's not so
00:33:48
much about money money money money I
00:33:50
know it's a motivating factor but you
00:33:52
got to do what you love like I don't
00:33:54
know say for example there was this
00:33:55
person that drinks coffee with the time
00:33:58
and they were sick of their coffee
00:33:59
getting cold they've going to bring out
00:34:01
a new coffee cup that keeps you
00:34:03
obviously people do that now that keeps
00:34:04
your coffee warm so it started with like
00:34:06
a passion and a problem which led to
00:34:09
success with the money but you can't be
00:34:11
in it for the money because you're not
00:34:12
going to you're not going to last are
00:34:14
you if it's just how have you managed to
00:34:16
not cross that threshold I think it must
00:34:19
be tempting I think kind of
00:34:22
you I always think about that thing like
00:34:24
whatever you post is always going to be
00:34:26
out there so I always always remember
00:34:28
that like whatever you know you got to
00:34:29
be fine with it if it's going to be out
00:34:31
there forever so I always think about
00:34:33
that that's definitely a big one I guess
00:34:35
just like I think being within like the
00:34:38
swimming community and coming from like
00:34:40
an athletic background you you you have
00:34:43
to be careful I just think like I'm not
00:34:46
sure if I have people looking up to me
00:34:48
but you just want to kind of have a good
00:34:49
image about you and and all that but
00:34:52
like I have absolutely no problem if
00:34:54
people do I actually one of my close
00:34:55
friends does a lot of pornography and
00:34:58
that and that's completely fine you know
00:35:00
cuz that's her boundary and that's her
00:35:01
barrier and she's comfortable with that
00:35:03
and all that but I just obviously it can
00:35:06
be yeah it can be tempting but I just I
00:35:10
don't know I I think like sometimes it's
00:35:12
just within you and you got to be
00:35:14
confident doing that St on camera I
00:35:15
think i' would be terrible so yeah not
00:35:18
for me but if it's for people then
00:35:20
that's fine but I think like it's really
00:35:22
important if anyone's thinking of doing
00:35:24
only fans like just have those
00:35:26
boundaries to start just if you're
00:35:28
thinking about Crossing one just really
00:35:30
have like a good think about it because
00:35:32
once you do it you can't take it back
00:35:34
especially people will get immune to it
00:35:35
because if you give them it then it's
00:35:37
like what's next you know and if you
00:35:39
give them all of it it's like well
00:35:40
what's next now you got to keep stepping
00:35:42
up stepping up and you're like [ __ ] I've
00:35:43
gone I've gone too far you know so yeah
00:35:46
you got to be just you got to stay
00:35:49
staunch but only fans is great you know
00:35:51
I can post what I want when I want do
00:35:53
messages when I whenever I want as well
00:35:55
so I'm in control of everything that
00:35:57
goes out there so it's great and if
00:35:58
there's a subscriber giving me [ __ ] or
00:36:01
being annoying it's just a block or
00:36:02
restrict so it's kind of like it's a
00:36:04
great platform I think for people if
00:36:06
they don't really want to kind of how
00:36:09
would you say it I think back in the day
00:36:13
with like people sex work and that you
00:36:15
could be forcing the stuff you don't
00:36:17
want to do but I think now with like
00:36:19
only fans you can kind of be in control
00:36:20
of what you do which is great if you go
00:36:23
on that route so and and and your
00:36:25
partner Josh like what sort of what sort
00:36:27
of discussion did you have what does he
00:36:29
make of it yeah so it was kind of like
00:36:31
obviously did patreon to start but
00:36:34
everything that I do like I'm
00:36:35
transparent about and like he knows and
00:36:38
all that with my platforms and
00:36:39
everything so and he's really supportive
00:36:41
in that and he gets to go along the ride
00:36:43
with the cool lifestyle and that so it's
00:36:45
like you know it's good but obviously
00:36:47
like we're actively looking for other
00:36:49
ways to you know to earn money because I
00:36:53
guess like we know only fans isn't
00:36:54
forever but it's a great step you know
00:36:57
when you at the sage especially gives us
00:37:00
the chance to travel on that but you
00:37:02
just got to be open about it even like
00:37:04
my parents know they were the first ones
00:37:05
I told them I was mom dad you know like
00:37:07
you know I'm going to be doing only fans
00:37:09
and that and mom was a bit unsure
00:37:10
obviously to start could I think Mom
00:37:12
just wants to protect me from anything
00:37:14
and let's um let's just pause on this
00:37:17
for a second so yeah so you have you set
00:37:19
them down you have this chat with them
00:37:20
do they know what only fans is or
00:37:22
they've just heard what they did know
00:37:24
because my friend s only fan and she was
00:37:28
very successful on it and so they kind
00:37:29
of mom knew about it I guess my dad like
00:37:32
he he doesn't you know it's more like a
00:37:34
conversation me mom cuz dads just kind
00:37:36
of go along with it don't they you keep
00:37:38
doesn't want to know happy wife happy
00:37:40
life you know but he's um I just I just
00:37:43
talked to them in that and I think Mom
00:37:44
was a bit concerned but like I said
00:37:46
starting patreon first was the best way
00:37:48
to do it because it was like a warm a
00:37:51
slow warmup to kind of subscription
00:37:53
platforms and that but like they like I
00:37:56
said like main thing is to get back to
00:37:58
Mom and Dad so first thing I did after
00:38:01
on ow for maybe oh gosh like I said I'm
00:38:04
bad at MTH maybe like N9 months I went
00:38:07
out and Mom and Dad's dream has been a
00:38:09
caravan for so long cuz obviously
00:38:12
they've had that dream for like 30 years
00:38:13
but they've had so many bloody kids in
00:38:14
there and they just with money they
00:38:16
couldn't afford it so I went out and got
00:38:18
them a caravan and I surprised them I
00:38:21
pked it down the road and I was like oh
00:38:22
Mom Dad like can we go for a walk you
00:38:24
know with a dog and that and um it was
00:38:27
just down from like the house and I was
00:38:29
like oh there's a property on this house
00:38:30
that I want to look at and Dad's like
00:38:31
okay sweet and then we walk down and the
00:38:34
caravan's on the back of um my you and
00:38:36
it's um got the Caravan on and Mom and
00:38:38
Dad walk and they stop and they're like
00:38:40
oh my gosh Fe like what is that and mom
00:38:42
was holding a heart she was like oh my
00:38:44
gosh what is that and I was like Merry
00:38:46
Christmas and they were like holy [ __ ]
00:38:48
and like that was so cool I actually
00:38:50
think I got a few tears in them which is
00:38:52
nice but it's like giving back to them
00:38:54
as much as I can and like Mom said like
00:38:56
we bought I bought them the dream cuz
00:38:58
that's what they've always wanted and I
00:38:59
think that's the main thing that I'm so
00:39:01
family oriented just give back to Mom
00:39:03
and Dad and that is just like the main
00:39:06
thing especially with like my swimming
00:39:07
career and that and but they've got a
00:39:09
few I bought them a new car as well they
00:39:10
need they used to drive a Toyota Aqua
00:39:13
which had so many KES in it and I was
00:39:15
like gosh like and my dad is just like a
00:39:17
Phanatic for hybrid cars like he loves
00:39:19
hybrid cars so he got them like a um
00:39:22
Toyota Corolla hybrid or something he
00:39:24
like is obsessed with those cars so we
00:39:26
got that and again mom and dad are like
00:39:28
oh my God like I always surprise them
00:39:30
when I get this stuff it's always like I
00:39:32
walk I'm oh come look outside you know
00:39:34
look at this and they're like oh my God
00:39:36
you know but you give back to Mom and
00:39:37
Dad all the time like that's the um
00:39:40
they're your creators you know and
00:39:41
they're the ones who first believed in
00:39:43
you so it's like that's my main my main
00:39:45
goal is to get back to Mom and Dad take
00:39:47
a bit of pressure of them and that so
00:39:49
yeah it's so lovely yeah it's they're
00:39:51
your creators but now you're you're a
00:39:53
Creator yeah yeah yeah it's like a full
00:39:55
circle thing and you you're you're 22
00:39:58
now yes and you you bought your first
00:40:00
house at 21 20 20 20 I think yeah I
00:40:05
bought one in toonga went at 20 sh so
00:40:07
what was your deposit like 100k no I put
00:40:10
a bigger deposit I put over 250,000 on
00:40:13
that one oh my God this is amazing well
00:40:16
it was kind of like the the property was
00:40:19
initially I was going to it was like we
00:40:22
didn't know what our only fans would do
00:40:23
so it was like Doom and Gloom like if it
00:40:25
all packs in I've got a house to live in
00:40:27
and I've got something out of it but
00:40:28
then it kind of turned more into
00:40:30
investment so then that's like obviously
00:40:32
investment property now and it rents out
00:40:34
and then I bought um two of properties
00:40:36
as well in Oakland I think last year I
00:40:38
last was it last year yeah I think I did
00:40:42
three in a year and I was like I was
00:40:43
chugging along but this year's been yeah
00:40:46
this year's been more about enjoying the
00:40:48
wealth a little bit and exploring
00:40:50
traveling I bought bought a bloody
00:40:52
Porsche as well that was like that was
00:40:54
pretty cool I was going to get a brand
00:40:56
new one brand this on Instagram um
00:40:59
actually you did like a re and it was
00:41:00
the progression of your card unit oh and
00:41:03
it's really yes what do you pay for a
00:41:04
new
00:41:05
9911 gosh two no more so my dad was
00:41:09
trying to get the price on me cuz I show
00:41:12
them the Porsche where I bought it and I
00:41:13
actually told the sales guy in that he's
00:41:15
actually called Julius like we really
00:41:16
like Julius and I said remove that sales
00:41:18
price cuz my dad was on like researching
00:41:21
that how much is it so i1 is the value
00:41:25
of it is about 340
00:41:27
my God it's there it's it's like even
00:41:30
talking about that's a [ __ ] investment
00:41:32
isn't it are you can you drive okay I
00:41:34
was a [ __ ] driver and actually I'm still
00:41:36
a [ __ ] driver can you drive I'd be
00:41:38
scared of like wrecking the rooms or we
00:41:41
had a situation in countdown Point share
00:41:43
when we had I think someone was under
00:41:45
the influence or something and um she
00:41:48
had a sign and she threw it at the car
00:41:52
and I was like oh my gosh and I was
00:41:53
getting in the car with my mom but my
00:41:54
mom was like daydreaming no idea and I
00:41:56
was like Mom get in the [ __ ] car like
00:41:58
there's someone trying to like bash the
00:42:00
car up we go to drive out and this lady
00:42:03
is running like on the side of it and
00:42:06
tries to jump in front of the car and I
00:42:08
was like oh my gosh and then boom swings
00:42:10
gets a punched into it thank God there
00:42:12
was no damage but that was like the
00:42:15
first kind of thing that happened in the
00:42:17
portion I was like oh my gosh like this
00:42:18
is like it kind of took the love out a
00:42:21
bit it was like oh I think when you
00:42:23
drive a car like that you can you get
00:42:25
mixed opinions and all sorts of stuff
00:42:28
but I think uh especially when you start
00:42:31
making a lot of money you need to get
00:42:33
stuff to offset the tax because if
00:42:35
you're paying a lot of money like my tax
00:42:37
for this year was atrocious so you get I
00:42:41
think people you buy stuff to offset Tex
00:42:43
you know could business vehicle and it's
00:42:45
great for like promotion on social media
00:42:47
cuz it's a little bit controversial as
00:42:49
well it's like what's this girl doing
00:42:50
she's 22 she's got a Porsche you know
00:42:52
and you get it's it's a bit of like a
00:42:55
marketing tool in a way because it's
00:42:56
kind of like it brings a bit of media
00:42:58
attention but I do love Porsche and I
00:43:00
love the car and that and it won't a 911
00:43:03
is such an iconic car they don't lose
00:43:05
their value too much so but it was I was
00:43:08
actually getting the niss narz I've got
00:43:10
a you and I was getting it service and
00:43:11
then me and my partner like oh look
00:43:13
there's Porsche there let's just have a
00:43:14
little look and the Porsche team
00:43:17
actually all came together and designed
00:43:19
a super cool car that they thought would
00:43:21
look great and that was actually in the
00:43:22
showroom at the time cuz to get a
00:43:24
Porsche that's like a 9 Monon or 12
00:43:26
month wait to to get it built but it was
00:43:28
right there waiting for us and we were
00:43:30
like oh my gosh like oh but it was a
00:43:33
cool moment but it's you know it's nice
00:43:35
having a nice car but like I said like
00:43:38
especially like my Instagram I used to
00:43:40
drive in this same March like 2004
00:43:43
purple one it had all sorts of marks in
00:43:44
it but it still got me to A to B in that
00:43:47
and it's kind of like not as quickly
00:43:48
though well not no actually it's true
00:43:51
not as quickly oh good for you this is
00:43:53
great and just quietly like it's a big
00:43:55
middle finger to those [ __ ] from when
00:43:57
you're in the PO 14 15 isn't it it kind
00:44:00
of like it's it's all paid off kind of
00:44:02
keeping in it but like people still find
00:44:04
a way to hate they you have only fans
00:44:06
it's not a real job on that but you just
00:44:09
cannot care about what people think
00:44:10
because I wouldn't be here I think a lot
00:44:12
of people put up with it but it's just
00:44:14
like well people are going to people are
00:44:15
going to have an opinion on you
00:44:16
regardless 100% so it's just like [ __ ]
00:44:19
it just just live life oh my God that's
00:44:22
amazing you and your partner oh your how
00:44:25
is here with being like a boyfriend of
00:44:27
Instagram there's a or do you do you
00:44:29
have like a a selfie light in a stand
00:44:31
that does most of them or is he is he
00:44:34
photographer so for if we're talking
00:44:37
like strictly like only fans and like
00:44:38
fans Le usually I'm just using like a
00:44:41
tripod or literally putting a phone up
00:44:43
against something but like he might help
00:44:44
me with like the odd photo and stuff on
00:44:46
only fans but for Instagram he does play
00:44:49
a big part in that like he's my get so
00:44:51
annoying oh he does I think he does get
00:44:53
embarrassed he gets embarrassed
00:44:55
sometimes with um taking photos me all
00:44:57
the time but he knows it's for business
00:44:59
in there and he and he does it he just
00:45:01
prefers if it's in more of a quieter
00:45:03
area not in the middle could I I don't
00:45:05
care I'm just like just take the photo
00:45:07
like if people ask me it's my bloody job
00:45:09
and that and he's like oh God like but
00:45:11
he gets on to it and he helps me so well
00:45:13
you you guys have just been um on a
00:45:15
European holiday and you flew business
00:45:17
class so Josh you want to keep flying in
00:45:20
those seats you take the [ __ ]
00:45:22
photos 100% yep 100% it was business
00:45:27
class is great it was it was so
00:45:29
expensive the way it's expensive it was
00:45:31
I think the way to do it is you go
00:45:32
through a travel agent and they actually
00:45:33
ended up getting like some better rates
00:45:35
in that but yes it is expensive but
00:45:38
honestly oh we had such bad turbulence
00:45:41
coming back and I think regardless of
00:45:42
what seat you're in the plane you're
00:45:43
still going to feel like I could I got a
00:45:45
bit like motion sickness cu the plane
00:45:46
was like bouncing up and down in that so
00:45:49
whatever seat you're in it it's still
00:45:51
[ __ ] but business Cloud you can lay down
00:45:53
when you sleep so it's like and you know
00:45:55
the food's nice but I think you pay the
00:45:57
money because you can literally lay down
00:45:59
in your bed and just sleep so it's just
00:46:01
like that's the great thing but I need
00:46:03
to I need to take Mom and Dad overseas
00:46:05
and I'm going to treat them to business
00:46:07
and I think it'd be so cool but then
00:46:08
again my dad's got a problem with flying
00:46:10
so it's like for God's sake he hates the
00:46:12
whole being trapped in a plane you can't
00:46:14
get out but it's just like Dad if you
00:46:16
try jump at the plane like where are you
00:46:17
going to go it's just like it's just
00:46:20
shocking anyways yeah are they must be
00:46:22
yeah what do your sisters think and your
00:46:24
parents they proud yeah you know
00:46:26
honestly they are and like um my sisters
00:46:28
have always just been good supporters
00:46:30
and that and um yeah 100% no family's
00:46:33
just been great and I I give back to
00:46:35
them as much as they can like obviously
00:46:36
the most back to Mom and Dad but like
00:46:39
you know I got my what do I get my
00:46:40
oldest sister like a wash um a tumble
00:46:42
dryer something tumble dryer random
00:46:45
birthday gifts but I was just like I
00:46:46
like to spoil them a little bit cuz it's
00:46:48
kind of you know they are the day ones
00:46:50
and that so I do give and how do they do
00:46:52
they do they have to deal with much sort
00:46:54
of like you backlash snide Remar s
00:46:57
comments from other people well not so
00:46:58
much hon not I'm not as much in the
00:47:01
media eye I think for people to Target
00:47:03
my family I think that a lot of my
00:47:05
family is quite lowkey on social media
00:47:07
so it's never really like an issue and I
00:47:10
yeah it's never no it's never been an
00:47:12
issue touch would gosh I don't want to
00:47:14
ever be a issue don't come for my family
00:47:16
God but what about um what about um like
00:47:20
an issue with creepy dudes or anything
00:47:23
like comments on maybe not necessarily
00:47:25
on only fans either but on the other
00:47:26
platforms talk Instagram I had well on o
00:47:30
I had a guy that was like a um he wasn't
00:47:33
a news present but he was like at the
00:47:36
swimming New Zealand meets he was like a
00:47:37
camera guy it doesn't I don't know I
00:47:40
don't know who he was among so it must
00:47:41
have been years ago I don't know who it
00:47:42
is but he was a camera guy or something
00:47:44
and would like film me when I was
00:47:46
swimming like for like this live streams
00:47:47
or something that was a bit weird but
00:47:50
apart from that I haven't really had
00:47:53
creepy people I don't really like put
00:47:56
myself out there enough like in public
00:47:58
to kind of be targeted yeah obviously
00:48:00
like I walk around the the beach in a
00:48:02
little bikini and that but I think like
00:48:04
I don't really got and party much I feel
00:48:06
like I went from my party stages and I
00:48:08
was like 1920 so I don't really I'm not
00:48:13
not really I think I'm lucky that a lot
00:48:15
of my followers are overseas opposed to
00:48:17
New Zealand and New Zealand is such a
00:48:19
small little country so it's like I've
00:48:21
been good touch wood though it's like I
00:48:23
don't want to have to deal with that I
00:48:24
know like yeah no no unwanted an of dick
00:48:29
pcks or anything like that like you get
00:48:31
the old one on well on Instagram you get
00:48:34
them so much but I don't even go so what
00:48:36
do you mean well I don't go I don't go
00:48:37
on my requests because I don't I don't
00:48:39
read my requests but like on only fans
00:48:41
like you do I think people think that
00:48:43
it's a platform that like oh like I'm
00:48:47
subscribed to you you know do you want
00:48:48
to see stuff of me some people think
00:48:49
it's a dating app and it's like it's not
00:48:51
a dating app like you subscribe to me to
00:48:53
see my content I don't subscribe to you
00:48:56
but I always say like on only fans you
00:48:58
actually get like a little blurred
00:48:59
preview and like you know straight away
00:49:01
and it's just like report it and I'm
00:49:02
like don't send me pictures without my
00:49:04
permission cuz sometimes I ask to see
00:49:06
like nice landmarks or like they're like
00:49:08
I'm from Spain I'm like oh wow like send
00:49:10
you know a photo of like your local
00:49:11
Beach or something but you do get the
00:49:13
odd creeper you know trying to send
00:49:15
photos but I don't have to open them I
00:49:16
just literally report them so yeah it's
00:49:19
good fair enough um yeah I I've got a
00:49:23
few questions here about only fans um
00:49:25
yeah what do you think is the the
00:49:26
biggest misconception about only fans
00:49:28
and its creators that I think everyone
00:49:31
everyone and only fans does pornography
00:49:34
it's not true you can it's a
00:49:36
subscription platform where your fans
00:49:38
can pay and not everyone does
00:49:41
pornography you can literally sell
00:49:45
cooking do cooking videos or you can
00:49:47
sell advice on Sport and that it's just
00:49:50
a paid platform that people go on not
00:49:53
everyone does pornography so that's the
00:49:55
biggest thing with only fans and that's
00:49:57
why the stigma around it it's like oh my
00:49:59
gosh you know but not everyone does por
00:50:02
on only fans I know it's like the
00:50:04
biggest Money Maker but not everyone
00:50:06
does it so jeez it seems like you're
00:50:08
doing just fine without it what's um you
00:50:10
may you tell me to piss off if you don't
00:50:12
want to answer this but your your
00:50:13
biggest single month so I won't I'm not
00:50:15
going to say exact figures but it was
00:50:17
over six figures in one month over 100k
00:50:20
in one month yeah amazing yeah so it's
00:50:25
and you so you pay you have to you go
00:50:27
through your accountant you pay tax out
00:50:28
of that how much does only fans take as
00:50:30
a platform they take 25% of yeah but
00:50:35
again like I know they take a lot of
00:50:36
money out of that but it's like they
00:50:38
give you the platform on there and kind
00:50:40
of like your end money like you don't
00:50:43
you just get exactly you just get
00:50:45
everything but without that 20 with that
00:50:47
25% cut taken out so it's not like I'm
00:50:50
paying them out money I just get what's
00:50:52
taken out with the 25% cut taken off so
00:50:55
but yeah they do that's why they earned
00:50:57
so much money that that company's worth
00:50:59
so I wish I like invested in it like
00:51:00
back in 2016 very clipping the ticket
00:51:03
that big single Creator y That's crazy
00:51:07
you've got people on there like honestly
00:51:09
I'm like I'm a small fish like I think
00:51:11
one of the top creators was earning like
00:51:13
10 like oh maybe not like 5 million a
00:51:16
month or something like they had so much
00:51:19
money I think normal people earn like a
00:51:21
million a month or something USD as well
00:51:25
so are you are you worried that like um
00:51:27
I mean you're still very very young
00:51:29
you're never going to be have like a
00:51:30
normal job like imagine you're getting a
00:51:32
job paying 70 80 grand a year like I
00:51:36
know you know what I mean like you've
00:51:37
been you've been
00:51:38
very you've worked hard but you know
00:51:41
you've been very lucky and very spoiled
00:51:42
with um how things have panned out at a
00:51:44
very young age yeah yeah 100% I think
00:51:47
that's why it's so important when you're
00:51:49
an only fan to get other streams of
00:51:50
income because you can't really go it's
00:51:53
a normal job that's why I don't that's
00:51:55
why I don't want people just rushing
00:51:57
into only fans because once you kind of
00:51:59
have that only fans status it always
00:52:01
stays with you and it can really Stitch
00:52:03
you up in future life if you don't have
00:52:05
a real plan with where you're going so I
00:52:08
think I've like kind of accepted that
00:52:10
and that's like that's okay um but yeah
00:52:14
it's
00:52:15
um you just got to be you just got to be
00:52:18
careful of only fans I just yeah I don't
00:52:19
want people rushing out and starting
00:52:21
them because it's it's um it's great but
00:52:23
it's not all sunshine and Rainbows in
00:52:25
that there's a lot of of negativity and
00:52:27
backlash that comes with it but I've
00:52:28
accepted that and that's why I've got
00:52:30
other streams of income coming through
00:52:32
so you could where did the where did the
00:52:34
um yes it seems like you do have your H
00:52:36
screwed on the right way where did that
00:52:37
come from I think just talking to the
00:52:40
right people it was it was hard when I
00:52:42
first started because as much as I love
00:52:45
my parents I couldn't go to my parents
00:52:47
for advice because I was kind of going
00:52:50
new I've kind of G places that have
00:52:52
never so much been before I think their
00:52:55
goal was just like buy house pay a few
00:52:56
mortgage but it was kind of like that
00:52:58
wasn't the direction cuz I really wanted
00:53:00
to build some wealth so it was just
00:53:02
about talking to the right people and
00:53:04
that and people who have somewhat done
00:53:05
it and literally like on Tik Tok I know
00:53:07
you shouldn't just take Tik Tok advice
00:53:08
all the time but there's a lot of
00:53:10
helpful advice there and I think my
00:53:12
accountant because my accountant
00:53:13
obviously deals with a lot of like big
00:53:15
dogs I call them like you know the high
00:53:17
rollers who actually earn a lot of money
00:53:19
and you know they get good advice and I
00:53:20
always got like a mentor now that helps
00:53:22
me a bit with property and that so you
00:53:25
just you just you got to know what
00:53:27
you're doing cuz when you got a lot of
00:53:29
money coming in it's easy to go off and
00:53:31
buy he the designer and you know
00:53:33
splasher your money but you you got to
00:53:35
kind of keep your head screwed on I
00:53:36
think a bit yeah what do you like to
00:53:38
spend your money on you've got the
00:53:40
Porsche there's the business class
00:53:41
flight oh I've gone a bit silly and I've
00:53:44
got a bit of a designer phase at the
00:53:45
moment just buying so much design I got
00:53:47
this W there's my I got a little Rolex
00:53:49
as well which is quite nice that was um
00:53:51
Rolex is actually quite hard to get it's
00:53:53
kind of you can't just walk in and buy
00:53:55
them it's like you've you register your
00:53:58
interest and if they like you then
00:54:00
they're going to give you one but it's
00:54:01
like I was getting like ignored by Rolex
00:54:04
for ages and then it wasn't until I
00:54:05
bought a Porsche I had like a slight
00:54:07
referral so then that was how I kind of
00:54:09
got my way on purchasing like a Rolex
00:54:11
and that but yeah I love like Dior and
00:54:15
Chanel it's terrible but in Europe it's
00:54:16
a lot cheaper so but design is a
00:54:19
honestly it's a big waste of money I
00:54:20
need to stop buying it cuz it's just how
00:54:22
much does it cost them to make it you
00:54:24
know so but no I'm saving up I'm saving
00:54:27
up now to get more properties I'm I'm
00:54:30
going to start being more strict but
00:54:31
like I said this year was kind of more
00:54:33
about having fun and buying the nice car
00:54:35
and all that and but now it's like
00:54:36
hustle time and to really start building
00:54:38
more wealth so oh good on you what what
00:54:40
do you pay for a rolly oh this one here
00:54:43
was about
00:54:44
22,000 so couple of weeks
00:54:48
yeah less that crazy less than that oh
00:54:51
my God this is crazy good for you yeah
00:54:56
yeah good for you have you um um I don't
00:54:59
know much about like um the money
00:55:01
laundering laws whatever but I know last
00:55:02
time I sold a house there was like all
00:55:03
this documentation I had to do with the
00:55:05
bank under some if you have like a large
00:55:07
sum of money going into your bank
00:55:09
there's some like money laundering thing
00:55:10
they have to go through like have you
00:55:12
anything like justifying where all the
00:55:14
money is coming from I think not really
00:55:15
because when I pay myself an O it
00:55:17
doesn't all come in like one big monthly
00:55:20
sum it's kind of like small amounts kind
00:55:22
of could come in like you know six grand
00:55:25
you know so
00:55:26
not really too much I think my bank kind
00:55:30
of know that I have the amount of money
00:55:32
I think when I first started getting
00:55:33
money in I think they asked me I think
00:55:36
they might have asked me but this was a
00:55:38
while ago but I don't think they really
00:55:39
I don't think they really mind too much
00:55:41
so no yeah and if you got like a little
00:55:43
notification on your phone every time
00:55:45
there's like a new subscriber or uh I
00:55:48
like turning my notifications off
00:55:49
because I get a lot through like
00:55:51
Instagram and like only fans and that
00:55:53
but like not really I think when I go on
00:55:56
my only fans look at like my
00:55:58
notifications but I don't like keep an
00:56:00
eye on it I just kind of you know I like
00:56:02
putting when I put my phone down that's
00:56:03
my phone down and then I can I've got
00:56:05
like two little cute cats as well so I
00:56:07
play with bannett and Freddy and that
00:56:09
it's just good to get away from it
00:56:10
that's why like the power of only fans
00:56:12
is amazing because you can be on your
00:56:14
phone and you can work and stuff but if
00:56:15
you want to get away from that just put
00:56:17
your phone down and just I know go for a
00:56:19
walk or something it's good to be able
00:56:20
to get away from it so yeah do do you
00:56:23
sort of structure it like a business
00:56:24
like do you have do you have like a
00:56:25
couple of hours every day where you say
00:56:27
to your partner Josh right now's my you
00:56:29
know messaging time or yeah you quite
00:56:32
good it yeah I think like it kind of
00:56:34
ranges like sometimes I will reply to
00:56:36
messages two times a day in there and go
00:56:38
through all of them and it could take me
00:56:39
like an hour to do all of them but I
00:56:42
guess like not like it just depends on
00:56:45
when I'm free cuz like if I'm like
00:56:48
gyming in the morning I'm kind of quite
00:56:50
busy during the morning and that so it
00:56:52
just kind of depends but I try to do my
00:56:54
messages two times a day cuz it's I
00:56:55
think the more active you stay the more
00:56:57
connected you can stay with your fans
00:56:58
and it's better to be on there more and
00:57:00
then you got to make Instagram content
00:57:02
and that cuz the main thing with o is
00:57:04
self-promotion constantly you need to
00:57:06
like self-promote yourself otherwise
00:57:07
you're going to lose fans so it is a bit
00:57:09
of pressure that I have to withhold that
00:57:11
CU obviously I have a lot more
00:57:13
liabilities now obviously having
00:57:14
properties and all that so you do have
00:57:17
to definitely work for your money I know
00:57:19
it's not like a generic dot job but you
00:57:21
still you you know still like anything
00:57:24
in life you get out what you put in yeah
00:57:26
100% if you and a great platform is Tik
00:57:29
Tok again Tik Tok is great to kind of
00:57:31
earn money in that because you can I
00:57:34
when I had that Viral post that 17
00:57:36
million views but I've actually got two
00:57:38
Tik toks so another one actually got
00:57:40
around that two so I've got two videos
00:57:42
that had 17 million views and like all
00:57:45
that traffic from there you're going to
00:57:47
gain like a th000 subscribers CU they go
00:57:49
from your Tik Tok onto your Instagram
00:57:50
onto like your o or your fley so it's
00:57:53
kind of like if you put in a lot of
00:57:54
effort you can actually make a lot lot
00:57:56
of money I think it's just all about
00:57:58
self-promotion and that's just like how
00:58:00
you do it those Tik Tok numbers are
00:58:02
crazy he like I don't understand it
00:58:04
watering number but you don't make any
00:58:06
money directly from that no I don't make
00:58:08
money off Tik Tok I think you do videos
00:58:10
over a minute maybe or something but no
00:58:13
I don't really make money off Tik Tok
00:58:14
but Tik tok's annoying like the most
00:58:16
stupid videos I've got like that's just
00:58:18
me getting out a pool I've got way
00:58:20
cooler stuff like me doing like a dive
00:58:22
and like you know and it's just like oh
00:58:25
i' just got way cool stuff but that one
00:58:27
video I don't get Tik Tok it just and
00:58:29
even like Instagram the most stupid
00:58:31
stuff gets the most likes and it's like
00:58:33
God oh yeah do you get any money from
00:58:34
that or do you do you get many Brands
00:58:35
coming to you want wanting to do collabs
00:58:37
I do yeah so when I was younger
00:58:39
obviously a way to make money was to do
00:58:40
like collaborations um I worked for Nike
00:58:43
actually when I was 15 I did a promotion
00:58:45
for Nike they paid me like I think like
00:58:48
for like a 15-year-old got paid like 3 G
00:58:50
which was like for two PS and I was like
00:58:52
oh my gosh wow this is so cool it was
00:58:54
like one of their like new sneakers or
00:58:55
something I to like promote but I do I
00:58:58
have worked with a lot of companies I um
00:59:01
what's some cool ones that I've worked
00:59:02
with I don't work with them so much now
00:59:04
could I try to keep my page more like
00:59:06
authentic I don't want to to use my
00:59:08
followers just for aatar like just to be
00:59:11
paid on Instagram I don't know I don't
00:59:13
really do too much but what gosh there's
00:59:15
so many I did like a lot of promotion
00:59:17
for like tank when I was younger so I
00:59:19
get like free food from tank and free
00:59:21
smoothies I did one for I got like it
00:59:24
was like a watch company did like Tissot
00:59:27
and timx and all that and I'd get like
00:59:29
free watches and heavily discounted oh
00:59:32
gosh there been all sorts of stuff I did
00:59:34
one for manscape recently could
00:59:36
obviously manscape is like
00:59:38
a shave your pubic here yeah i' like
00:59:40
shaving your balls or something but I
00:59:42
think it can be used to like your facial
00:59:44
hair and that but I had to promote that
00:59:45
you know you you want a different razor
00:59:47
for your face oh yeah actually yeah
00:59:49
that's true oh that's terrible there'd
00:59:51
be some men that would use them man in
00:59:53
both places oh that's terrible but yeah
00:59:56
so um what other questions of well this
00:59:59
is thanks for being so open he this is
01:00:01
it's all right it's okay it's a really
01:00:03
big Insight you you you're not um yeah
01:00:06
you're not embarrassed and you shouldn't
01:00:07
be embarrassed about how much money
01:00:08
you're making oh well like you know I'm
01:00:12
you kind of got to be open about some
01:00:14
obviously and I haven't given you guys
01:00:16
like complete figures you know I'm still
01:00:17
keeping you know it's it's rude of me to
01:00:21
ask that stuff like you don't ask
01:00:22
everyone what they're earning at their
01:00:23
job like I think well I think we're just
01:00:25
like oh if it's it's kind of different I
01:00:27
think it's just like it can be maybe
01:00:30
motivating some people like astounding
01:00:31
just like how the generation has like
01:00:33
changed and that but like it's fine you
01:00:36
know I haven't really done a podcast
01:00:38
since kind of all the stuff has happened
01:00:40
with obviously I've been reached out to
01:00:42
but I want to make sure I'm doing it
01:00:43
with like a legitimate you know
01:00:45
obviously when you reached out I was
01:00:46
like yeah like 100% like it's nice to
01:00:48
just come on and just talk about life a
01:00:50
bit maybe so but know it's been it's
01:00:52
been pretty good I appreciate that oh
01:00:55
what a what a like some of the weirdest
01:00:56
requests you've ever had like have
01:00:58
you've been asked to like stomp stomp
01:01:00
into a sponge cake with your feet or no
01:01:02
there's a really weird one some guy and
01:01:05
only fans wanted me to blow a balloon
01:01:08
until it popped and it was so scary and
01:01:12
I was like I'm so sorry like I can't do
01:01:14
that it's so scary and he was like you
01:01:16
can wear and I was like can I wear like
01:01:18
clothing or anything CU I think he
01:01:19
originally wanted me like sit on the
01:01:20
balloon I guess that's not as weird but
01:01:22
I was like nah like I don't want to do
01:01:23
that he said blow the balloon until it
01:01:25
pops but like it was so embarrassing the
01:01:27
video because like I was so scared so I
01:01:29
put like a caping goggles on to like
01:01:32
protect my eyes and it was terrible I
01:01:34
think the guy like somewhat enjoyed the
01:01:35
video but he was like it wasn't really
01:01:37
what I was after the balloon didn't even
01:01:38
pop but I was just too scared I was just
01:01:40
like what what are you going to do with
01:01:42
this video it's just weird weird how
01:01:45
much how much extra did he pay for that
01:01:47
oh God I think he oh let me think I
01:01:50
think he paid about like 200 USD maybe
01:01:54
so probably about maybe 250 maybe about
01:01:56
400 New Zealand dolls You' be pissed off
01:01:58
at the balloon didn't pop yeah actually
01:02:00
yeah I think he was yeah yeah but I I
01:02:02
suppose you're making so much money
01:02:04
you're like oh I don't I don't yeah this
01:02:06
is adman yeah
01:02:09
yeah um what advice would you give to
01:02:11
someone considering starting an only
01:02:13
fans account I think like before you
01:02:16
start only fans get a few fans behind
01:02:18
you I think really like self-promote
01:02:21
yourself and to get a fan base behind
01:02:23
you because if you just do are only fans
01:02:25
you know know I think when you start at
01:02:27
only fans you get a bit of hate and like
01:02:29
cuz there's always going to be people
01:02:30
you know are going to find your only
01:02:31
fans and try subscribe and all that so
01:02:34
just make sure you have a good fan base
01:02:35
behind you and like fully commit to it
01:02:37
as well don't just you know do it half
01:02:41
ass you know you got to really just be
01:02:42
committed and be like look I'm going to
01:02:43
do this but I just think with like oh if
01:02:46
you just just just be careful re just
01:02:50
re-evaluate what you want to do in life
01:02:52
and if it's going to affect you in the
01:02:53
future because like I said it's great
01:02:56
but it's sometimes it's not worth it if
01:02:58
you want to go into like a big career
01:03:00
job and all that so but I think like it
01:03:03
might be easier for girls who have only
01:03:04
fans to find jobs in the future because
01:03:07
the generation is always changing and I
01:03:08
think people are a lot more open to ol
01:03:10
as a lot more open to ol now than they
01:03:13
were when I first started it so I think
01:03:15
just build a good fan base behind you
01:03:18
because then you've got paying
01:03:19
subscribers and just go at your own pace
01:03:21
but don't overdo it and oversell
01:03:23
yourself because it just because like I
01:03:26
said content gets leaked and if
01:03:27
something gets leaked that's going to
01:03:28
genuinely upset you or ruin your life or
01:03:31
that's a bit over dramatic but just be
01:03:33
just be careful what has this happened
01:03:36
to you what's the content that's been
01:03:38
leaked so I've had like only fans
01:03:40
content leaked nothing like horrific but
01:03:43
it's because people don't want to
01:03:44
obviously pay for Content but you get
01:03:45
all sorts of leaked stuff but that's why
01:03:47
you always going to make sure you have
01:03:48
an internet removal team which can
01:03:51
remove any can remove leak content but a
01:03:54
lot of those con um the people that are
01:03:56
leaking the content out in like Russia
01:03:58
and other countries where you can't
01:04:00
actually really get it taken down I
01:04:02
think that copyright rules are different
01:04:03
or something but you got to make sure
01:04:05
you invest money in an internet removal
01:04:07
team that's really important because
01:04:09
they're literally they're not stealing
01:04:10
your money but people like why would I
01:04:12
pay when it's you know out there but a
01:04:14
lot yeah like I control it and like my
01:04:16
leaks are very minimal so but you got to
01:04:18
be you're always going to get your first
01:04:19
league and be like oh my gosh you know
01:04:21
and the end of the world yeah by the way
01:04:23
this is the first time in over hund and
01:04:25
something podcast that I've ever heard
01:04:26
the phrase content removal team yeah
01:04:29
yeah they don't even think about that y
01:04:31
it's really but it's good like I think
01:04:33
well especially New Zealand um I think
01:04:36
if anyone ever posted anything they
01:04:37
didn't like or I don't know you can it's
01:04:40
just good to fall back on if you like
01:04:41
need it you know you got to pay people
01:04:43
when you're in business and that you
01:04:45
need useful people and resources so yeah
01:04:48
and when you've been um doing it for a
01:04:50
while like you have and you've built up
01:04:52
like a fan base how how do you decide
01:04:54
what type of new content
01:04:56
create for the subscribers like how do
01:04:57
you keep it fres I think like you're
01:05:00
always buying like new outfits in there
01:05:02
and changing it up like you can research
01:05:05
ideas online and stuff if you want but I
01:05:07
just think it's like you just got to
01:05:10
keep it fresh and fun and like Chang it
01:05:13
up and all that and one big one is like
01:05:16
I just think like well a good one I
01:05:19
usually do is like bikini huls and that
01:05:20
so like if I went to Europe and I got
01:05:22
five new bikinis I do like a bikini haul
01:05:24
in that and show like people all bikini
01:05:26
What bikini hall Hall so it's like we we
01:05:29
call that Halls like um you just try on
01:05:32
like different bikinis and like show
01:05:33
them and then you can be like which one
01:05:35
do you like out of the one to five
01:05:37
what's your favorite one or something so
01:05:39
you just like constantly like just
01:05:40
change up your content keeping fresh but
01:05:42
I think there will always be a demand
01:05:44
for like women's bodies I don't know how
01:05:47
to but it will it will never die out but
01:05:49
you just got to keep it fun and you got
01:05:50
to really look like you're enjoying
01:05:52
yourself when you make your content cuz
01:05:53
I genuinely like I actually enjoy doing
01:05:55
only fans a lot of girls are oh like
01:05:57
only fans and that but like I I actually
01:05:59
enjoy it and I I actually could I've
01:06:02
been reached out by so many different
01:06:03
companies to do like my messages and
01:06:05
only friend and I was like n I'm
01:06:07
actually quite happy doing it so I think
01:06:09
it it makes a difference if you actually
01:06:11
love what you do it's funny saying I
01:06:13
love doing only fans but it's it's great
01:06:15
what do you love about it is it is it
01:06:16
the money or is it the the validation
01:06:18
from you know these fans yeah I think
01:06:22
it's I wouldn't say it's the validation
01:06:25
I would say it's more so I like having a
01:06:28
purpose in the morning and it's kind of
01:06:29
like I like sitting down and sitting on
01:06:32
my laptop and doing my work and having
01:06:33
like a coffee in there and replying and
01:06:35
like talking to all sorts of new people
01:06:37
in there like some people are so like
01:06:40
foreign I guess you could say that they
01:06:41
don't even speak English so I'm like
01:06:43
using a translator to like communicate I
01:06:45
think it's cool just meeting new people
01:06:47
and and all that I I enjoy it and
01:06:49
obviously like the money is rewarding
01:06:51
but it's um I do genuinely enjoy doing
01:06:54
it and I think my my fans can see that
01:06:57
within me I think if you don't enjoy it
01:06:59
it just makes the content look forced
01:07:00
and not good again that's why you got to
01:07:02
make sure you're comfortable with
01:07:04
whatever you're doing because you know
01:07:06
you don't really want to look
01:07:08
uncomfortable in content or like on
01:07:10
camera if that makes sense so it does
01:07:11
make sense how how many togs do you have
01:07:14
oh God like aund oh probably about that
01:07:18
I have so many I remember going shopping
01:07:20
in Europe I was on a swimming trip I
01:07:22
went to Europe with swimming and there
01:07:24
was this um um I bought like so many
01:07:26
bikinis and some guy was like why do you
01:07:29
need so many bikinis like ripped into me
01:07:31
and I was just like God like you hav
01:07:33
even seen how many bloody pairs of togs
01:07:35
I got at home I've got I've got I've got
01:07:37
training swimwear obviously for like
01:07:39
pming training bikinis for pool sing
01:07:41
then I've got bikini obviously bikinis
01:07:43
for Beach then I've got like my only
01:07:45
fans bikinis which is probably like not
01:07:47
like a g string more like a string that
01:07:50
bit more runchy you could probably wear
01:07:51
it in Europe but not not in New Zealand
01:07:53
cuz I a situation it was terrible I was
01:07:56
at swimming and I there was like an
01:07:59
outdoor shower by the swimming pool so I
01:08:02
finished training and I'd go in the
01:08:04
shower because it was cold and I was
01:08:05
like in my my whm Hof stage I used to
01:08:07
love having cold showers and I was
01:08:10
literally having a shower and this man
01:08:12
kept staring at me and I actually got a
01:08:15
complaint from a woman because she said
01:08:17
that her husband was looking at me but
01:08:19
blamed me and not the husband and I was
01:08:22
like for God's sakes like I got the
01:08:24
blame not a husband it was just like God
01:08:28
it's your fault oh it was sh on it was
01:08:30
all my fault just having a cold shower
01:08:33
and I I got the blame for this woman for
01:08:35
her husband not being a to keep his eyes
01:08:37
to himself obviously you look at people
01:08:40
but you you know oh God yeah it's
01:08:42
shocking any um any Encounters in real
01:08:44
life where you know you're at the mall
01:08:47
or you're you know you're at the beach
01:08:48
and people come up to you because they
01:08:49
recognize you from online not really I
01:08:52
think it's because a lot of my fan base
01:08:54
is world wide so not really that hasn't
01:08:57
happened New Zealand maybe like when I
01:08:59
was younger with swimming before any of
01:09:01
O started like I had a bigger platform
01:09:04
like a few girls and guys like us photos
01:09:06
of me but not really anymore maybe
01:09:08
because I'm like a o Creator they're
01:09:09
like no you can't take a photo of her
01:09:11
you know she could be a porn star so not
01:09:13
really honestly not really too much I'm
01:09:16
not really like I think there's stages
01:09:18
of being a celebrity in that and I don't
01:09:20
really think I'm kind of I'm in a great
01:09:23
position because I'm not too much in the
01:09:25
media eye but I'm earning good money so
01:09:28
it's kind of like I'm quite comfortable
01:09:29
where I are where I am right now but I
01:09:32
feel like I think that's the high thing
01:09:33
with like famous people it's way better
01:09:36
to be rich than famous because like you
01:09:38
can see like how like some celebrities
01:09:40
have to live it looks so hard in that
01:09:42
with like Papa rzi everywhere but no I'm
01:09:44
pretty sheltered from it which I'm very
01:09:46
grateful for because I just think I like
01:09:49
doing stuff by myself and going for
01:09:50
walks and I like to feel safe in that so
01:09:53
yeah well that's what that's the
01:09:54
impression I've got from check today
01:09:56
like you know you're you're in a loyal
01:09:57
relationship you have been for a long
01:09:58
time um you've got your head screwed on
01:10:01
the right way like you know you are you
01:10:04
looking after yourself the Rolex and the
01:10:06
Porsche and whatnot but you're also um
01:10:08
you know keeping an eye out for future
01:10:10
Phoebe as well yeah you got your cats
01:10:12
and you're just um you're just a fit and
01:10:14
healthy young woman yeah I thank you
01:10:16
yeah I'm just I I do think Mom and Dad
01:10:18
they did they did Raising well I've
01:10:20
always learned you always have to be
01:10:21
polite in that we were actually
01:10:23
astounded when we were in Europe
01:10:25
at um how rude people were overseas in
01:10:29
comparison to like kiwis I feel a lot of
01:10:31
kiwis are a lot more polite but in like
01:10:33
Europe you could open a door for someone
01:10:36
and they wouldn't even say thank you and
01:10:37
I was like I stood there and I thought
01:10:39
oh my God and my partner was like don't
01:10:41
say anything like you don't know who
01:10:42
you're messing with I think like you
01:10:44
just always got to have mans you can't
01:10:46
be rude to people you got to be kind to
01:10:48
people and this whole thing with like
01:10:50
thinking you're better than people like
01:10:53
I'm not about that you know we're all
01:10:54
equal and own ways and that and you
01:10:56
don't ever think you're better than
01:10:57
someone cuz you've got more money than
01:10:58
them and all that it's just you got to
01:11:00
treat everyone with respect again you
01:11:02
don't know what someone's going through
01:11:04
as well someone's you know you just
01:11:06
never know I actually my um sister when
01:11:10
she was younger had a really really
01:11:12
rough time with mental health like
01:11:14
terrible I think 10 years she was unwell
01:11:17
and she got admitted three times so it
01:11:19
was really bad and and I was quite Young
01:11:21
when that was all happening and I think
01:11:22
that really opened my she's completely
01:11:24
recovered now and has a little boy in
01:11:26
that so she's doing amazing but and and
01:11:29
she she helps people now as well who are
01:11:31
going through her same situation she's
01:11:33
got all that experience that she can
01:11:35
just help people she would have saved
01:11:36
like over hundred lives by now so she's
01:11:38
very great but I think that just really
01:11:40
taught me like you just never know what
01:11:42
someone's going through you just you
01:11:43
can't be mean to people or anything you
01:11:45
give people respect no I agree you you
01:11:48
just want to be kind um where you can I
01:11:51
mean yeah it's simple common courtesy
01:11:53
really isn't it and also you know poor
01:11:55
mental health can impact anyone at any
01:11:57
time oh how are you how are you the
01:11:59
mental health been good yeah honestly
01:12:01
well nothing terrible but I had a stage
01:12:04
where when I it was it happened last
01:12:06
year and I swam a 200 breast stroke so
01:12:09
that's eight laps of breast stroke and
01:12:10
that was like my main really good event
01:12:12
CU in 2019 I actually got a bronze medal
01:12:15
at the New Zealand open championships
01:12:17
that was like my first ever big medal
01:12:19
and that was like it was amazing it was
01:12:21
so cool so that was like my event and I
01:12:23
swam it underprepared and on like the
01:12:26
fifth lap I had like a panic attack when
01:12:28
I was swimming but I had like no idea
01:12:30
what was happening but it really took my
01:12:31
breath away and it scared me cuz I was
01:12:33
like well I've never like dealt with
01:12:34
anything like that so that really like
01:12:37
you know stumbled me and I think I I
01:12:41
always have to be doing something and I
01:12:42
always have to be busy that's my main
01:12:44
thing I can't just sit and relax and
01:12:47
another time happened last year to was
01:12:50
that I was I did a big swim session big
01:12:53
gym session got home and went straight
01:12:55
out to the mall to do something and
01:12:57
Midway in the mall felt like I was
01:12:58
having like a light panic attack as well
01:13:01
and that was quite hard because it was
01:13:02
like I didn't have as much control over
01:13:04
my mind and I felt like once you lose
01:13:07
your mind you've lost everything because
01:13:09
like this up here is so important so it
01:13:11
was kind of like it wasn't it wasn't
01:13:13
embarrassing but it was like okay it's
01:13:15
time to reach out and to get some help
01:13:17
so I saw a
01:13:18
hypnotherapist because my mom and she
01:13:22
felt like a hypnotherapist would be best
01:13:24
could they get you in like a they get
01:13:25
you to meditate and they get you in a
01:13:26
state to like talk to like your other
01:13:28
mind and it was really really helpful
01:13:31
and she got me into like meditating and
01:13:32
that and she's amazing like and she
01:13:35
helped me get me to like my last
01:13:36
Nationals and not kind of freak out or
01:13:39
you know have a could panic attacks can
01:13:41
be scary cuz it's like you don't know
01:13:42
when they could happen and they can just
01:13:44
happen and you know they are they can be
01:13:47
scary but it was kind of like taking
01:13:49
control of my mind again and that was
01:13:50
really important and like she's great so
01:13:53
I think like I when this first starts
01:13:56
happening I think with anyone if you
01:13:58
deal with something like that it's see
01:14:00
someone talk to someone because if you
01:14:02
keep putting it back it will genuinely
01:14:04
just get worse and it was just annoy
01:14:06
like it would piss me off so much I'd
01:14:08
even be driving and I'd be thinking the
01:14:10
most stupid stuff like oh I could just
01:14:13
pass out by the wheel right now and I
01:14:14
could just crash like just such
01:14:16
unhelpful thoughts I've never had so
01:14:18
it's so important to reach out and to
01:14:19
get help because you know you can't live
01:14:22
your life like that so I very thankful
01:14:24
for like my hypnotherapist but apart
01:14:27
from that I was always pretty Fick
01:14:29
skinned and with school and stuff I was
01:14:31
I was pretty good I've been pretty lucky
01:14:33
but obviously with my sister with
01:14:35
dealing with her issues I think I was
01:14:38
more 50% more at risk maybe I think if a
01:14:41
family member has dealt with bad mental
01:14:42
health but it um so far so good yeah so
01:14:46
honestly so far so good but I'm not
01:14:48
perfect and like I said I had to reach
01:14:50
out to like a therapist but you know
01:14:53
like I said if you lose your mind you
01:14:54
lose everything see this thing up here
01:14:56
is so powerful and sometimes it thinks
01:14:58
like unnecessary unhelpful stuff but
01:15:01
it's just all about you know you talk
01:15:03
back to it and you're just like well
01:15:05
sometimes you can be like why am I
01:15:06
thinking this like come on and I think
01:15:08
the big one for me is like if I'm going
01:15:10
to go out it's like make sure I've eaten
01:15:11
enough food taking care of my body you
01:15:14
know listen to my body and then it's
01:15:15
like okay I can go out now but it's um
01:15:17
it's a real thing I think just got to
01:15:19
speak up and yeah 100% but it's a nor
01:15:23
it's natural so and do you where do you
01:15:25
see yourself in say 5 years 10 years
01:15:27
from now so I'm actually doing my real
01:15:30
estate license at the moment so I'm
01:15:32
trying to get my real estate license cuz
01:15:35
if I don't if you know I might not want
01:15:37
to sell houses but it's just good to
01:15:39
educate myself I guess on real estate
01:15:42
and could obviously I'm in the property
01:15:43
Market a little bit
01:15:45
so I think it'd be great to have like a
01:15:48
successful business running and 5 years
01:15:52
might still be doing only fans might not
01:15:54
but
01:15:56
kids could what i' be like 27 28 maybe
01:15:59
kids I don't know I'm not putting like a
01:16:01
time frame on it I think like when
01:16:02
you're younger you're like I want kids
01:16:04
when I'm 24 and I want to be married by
01:16:05
25 but then when you actually get to
01:16:06
that age you're like oh like you know
01:16:09
I'm not ready for that especially when
01:16:10
my siblings have kids now it's like what
01:16:13
like it's like you can't have them and
01:16:16
then change your mind no no that that's
01:16:18
great actually I can enjoy being an
01:16:20
auntie and not having to deal with doing
01:16:22
the bloody diapers and all that but yeah
01:16:24
I think just like hopefully running a
01:16:27
successful business and you know might
01:16:29
still be doing only fans might not um
01:16:32
100% you will it's going to be too hard
01:16:34
to turn you back on that isn't it well
01:16:35
it it could be hard but I think if I've
01:16:37
got someone something else going that's
01:16:39
financially supporting me the same but
01:16:41
if not more then I think like why not
01:16:44
but you I you just never know I think
01:16:46
I'm very big with thinking in the
01:16:48
present no like well not present gosh
01:16:51
thinking right now and just one step one
01:16:54
step forward cuz we can get a little bit
01:16:56
overwhelmed cuz I can be like oh my God
01:16:57
you know I can't do only fans forever
01:16:59
this is so scary one step at a time but
01:17:02
yeah hopefully successful business owner
01:17:04
still heavy I'd love to actually be a
01:17:06
big investor have what 20 30 properties
01:17:09
and just be living off that income but I
01:17:11
think yeah even I was thinking I could
01:17:13
even do like maybe like a um gosh what
01:17:17
do you call it again um oh doing like a
01:17:21
course for only fans I think for people
01:17:24
who want to step in more my Direction
01:17:26
with only fans not go that full extent
01:17:28
with like pornography I think that could
01:17:30
be cool to kind of educate girls
01:17:32
especially kind of with O and all that
01:17:35
so that could be something but like a
01:17:37
content creator sort of course like yeah
01:17:40
maybe like if you're looking more to go
01:17:42
into Olf and that cuz like I'm I'm
01:17:45
somewhat a content creator but I'm not I
01:17:46
wouldn't say I'm so much oh you are you
01:17:49
are yeah I just don't like why why don't
01:17:50
you like that title I think when I was
01:17:52
younger I'd get invited to launches and
01:17:54
I think think the the demographics of
01:17:56
the influencers were just Rich
01:17:59
upbringing and not polite and I just
01:18:01
didn't want to associate with that like
01:18:03
when I was 14 I think I was going to
01:18:06
like Bond Bondi Sans is a really
01:18:08
successful
01:18:09
um yeah company and I remember going
01:18:12
there actually and just like I just The
01:18:15
Vibes just was like and the girls like
01:18:17
oh if you follow me I'll follow you back
01:18:18
in there and it's just that's just not
01:18:20
really my vibe so I don't call myself a
01:18:23
a like an influencer but I guess could
01:18:25
like somewhat say I think I've just got
01:18:27
that Trauma from like growing up and
01:18:28
like seeing what girls would like then I
01:18:30
was like I don't want to be like that so
01:18:32
yeah well whatever you want to call
01:18:33
yourself you you're doing um
01:18:35
exceptionally well for yourself like
01:18:37
you'd be in the top 1% of income earners
01:18:39
in New Zealand uh for people your age
01:18:41
like say 18 to 24 demograph You' be in
01:18:44
the top
01:18:46
0.001% like you're crashing it you're
01:18:48
doing so well thank you yeah yeah
01:18:50
congratulations you proud of yourself
01:18:52
like yeah I am proud of myself I think
01:18:55
I can tell you're ambitious yeah like I
01:18:58
knew I didn't want to do like a normal
01:18:59
job and I always had self-belief like
01:19:01
I've always had this feeling when I was
01:19:02
younger that I will always be healthy
01:19:05
and find my way with money I think I've
01:19:07
never really overstressed with money and
01:19:10
you know always just known good things
01:19:12
will come to me I've just always
01:19:14
believed that it would annoy me because
01:19:15
when I was swimming I was more sure that
01:19:18
I would be wealthy then I would be a
01:19:20
good summer and it would piss me off
01:19:21
when I was a child because I was like oh
01:19:23
my God I want to make Olympics but
01:19:25
constantly I just always knew that I was
01:19:26
going to be successful with money just
01:19:29
just random just always just know when I
01:19:30
was younger and my dad would always say
01:19:32
to me like do you think this person
01:19:34
works at pack and save or owns pack and
01:19:36
save that was like a big thing that we
01:19:38
learned like being a business owner is
01:19:40
so important because I think working the
01:19:42
generic 9 to5 can be really hard and I
01:19:45
think a lot of people get trapped within
01:19:47
that because obviously you want to make
01:19:48
money but it's just at the end of the
01:19:51
day it's just you're working on a big
01:19:52
boss and earning them [ __ ] tons of money
01:19:54
you're just slaving away I think your
01:19:56
time is so valuable and it's just it's
01:19:59
it's hard to see you know with that and
01:20:01
um but I think yeah like I'm I'm pretty
01:20:05
proud of myself but at the end of the
01:20:07
day I'm just I'm making good money in
01:20:09
that but your health is your greatest W
01:20:10
from that and yeah I'm proud but it's um
01:20:14
there's more important things to me than
01:20:15
money I think the main thing is just
01:20:17
having a healthy family healthy
01:20:19
relationship and just keeping myself in
01:20:21
like good shape that's the main one
01:20:22
money is great and it does Sol a few
01:20:24
problems but I still get you know upset
01:20:27
you know it's just it does help me but
01:20:30
it's it's not everything it's not it's
01:20:32
not the what the the answer to all your
01:20:36
problems you know I think well I
01:20:38
actually saw yeah can I just say like
01:20:40
when when someone that's got lots of
01:20:41
money sees that it's like okay always I
01:20:44
know people were like shut
01:20:46
up no no no but it's fair enough I agree
01:20:49
though cuz you're you're from the UK
01:20:50
your accent for someone that moved to is
01:20:52
still quite strong eh well people think
01:20:54
think when I me Aussie well people think
01:20:56
I'm Australian maybe because of what I
01:20:58
look like obviously generic blonde girl
01:21:01
but people think I'm Australian South
01:21:03
African kiwi I get all sorts of stuff
01:21:05
but I've got I've got weird tangs yeah
01:21:08
but what um I was going Sly with this so
01:21:10
the like English has got that very
01:21:11
well-known sort of class system so like
01:21:14
where where was your family in that so
01:21:16
like um like middle class or my my dad
01:21:20
actually grew up what in a state is it
01:21:23
state house or yeah housing or so he
01:21:26
wasn't he wasn't wealthy and like his
01:21:28
parents always like you've got to eat
01:21:30
all your food otherwise there's no food
01:21:32
like there's there's nothing else and
01:21:33
he'd get yeah he definitely grew up in a
01:21:36
rough part I think like in South London
01:21:37
or something I think Mom was a bit more
01:21:39
privileged but where would Mom Mom and
01:21:42
Dad sit I reckon like slightly below
01:21:45
like middle class we honestly like like
01:21:47
I said like my first car was a Nissen
01:21:49
March like that was when we um moved to
01:21:52
Oakland my that was originally my dad's
01:21:54
car my dad was like Nissan March great
01:21:56
car you know and I actually had to pay
01:21:58
my parents for that Bloody car I paid
01:21:59
them like a grand and like my parents
01:22:02
actually brought me up quite strict like
01:22:03
I remember I was going to training and I
01:22:05
had my phone in my pocket and my phone
01:22:07
fell out and obviously that was my like
01:22:08
my lifeline when I was 14 and I was
01:22:10
taking Instagram photos and I didn't
01:22:12
have like iCloud backup so I lost all
01:22:14
those photos and I was like oh Mom Dad
01:22:16
can I get a new phone no you got to go
01:22:18
to work you're going to go work with
01:22:19
your sister for a month so I was just
01:22:22
like I had to go into um F into the city
01:22:25
with my sister and work for a month and
01:22:26
I had to like take Staples that of like
01:22:28
paper and stuff it was like but I've
01:22:30
always been brought up to Value money
01:22:32
and respect money I think you can
01:22:35
definitely abuse money a lot but I never
01:22:37
grew up never grew up privileged never
01:22:39
like I stand by that I did not grow up
01:22:41
privilege at all oh good for you no no
01:22:44
handouts or nothing I can tell yeah yeah
01:22:46
no yeah self-made yeah I would say I
01:22:49
would definitely say self that's why
01:22:51
it's so important give back to Mom and
01:22:52
Dad now obviously like there's any other
01:22:54
people in worse situations you know in
01:22:58
like third world countries and that like
01:22:59
we are very lucky with what we have but
01:23:02
I think in comparison to a lot of other
01:23:03
people I didn't we didn't have it super
01:23:05
easy you know so and I had to like I
01:23:08
said I was 14 I lost my phone it was
01:23:10
like no free phone for Mom and Dad it
01:23:11
was like you work for a whole month yeah
01:23:14
it was yeah yeah why you yeah when you
01:23:16
showed them the Caravan you should have
01:23:18
said you guys can't have this yeah yeah
01:23:20
you you work for me for a month before
01:23:22
you get the carav honestly
01:23:24
I haven't forgiven them for that yet
01:23:26
gosh hey well Phoebe Harris thank you so
01:23:28
much for coming around today thanks for
01:23:29
being so open I I um do as much research
01:23:32
as what I can for these chats um I
01:23:34
couldn't find any other podcast you've
01:23:36
been on so I do really appreciate you
01:23:38
coming around here today and also being
01:23:39
so open about about some really um
01:23:42
uncomfortable things to talk about yeah
01:23:44
you know it's been great and it's like I
01:23:45
said I've I've been wanting to do a
01:23:47
podcast for a while but just been
01:23:48
waiting for the right one so it's good
01:23:50
to come to come on here and just explain
01:23:53
what my life and kind of like what I'm
01:23:56
up to now and stuff cuz my life has
01:23:57
changed a lot since 2020 so I think I
01:24:00
did a swimming podcast and like lockdown
01:24:02
or something but it was all like I
01:24:04
wasn't doing o or anything it was all s
01:24:06
related but no it's good it's great to
01:24:07
be here and hopefully it can let you
01:24:11
know show people what I what I do and
01:24:13
stuff and that it is cool and and all
01:24:17
that but at the end day it's just money
01:24:19
it's health is the greatest wealth
01:24:21
that's a very big one 100% well I
01:24:23
appreciate it well than you everything
01:24:25
it's going to you yeah thank you so much
01:24:27
for that
