00:00:05
all right welcome back people of the internet to another episode of the waveform podcast we're your hosts i'm marquez and i'm andrew and today's
00:00:12
episode is a little bit different so as promised quite a while ago as you may
00:00:18
remember we said that if we got 5000 ratings on apple podcast for the waveform podcast that we would do a hot
00:00:25
ones episode yes pre-video podcast that's how long ago we promised it was quite a long time ago so
00:00:31
i'm sure a lot of people have rated since then have no idea what they're contributing towards but we did actually surpass that and so uh
00:00:39
with sean evans approval i think uh we're gonna go ahead and do a hot one style episode with the actual hot sauces
00:00:46
from one of the recent seasons i think the most recent season most recent season so that's
00:00:51
who knows how that's gonna pan out i have no idea we have some questions prepared adam's gonna hop in and we're gonna talk while eating super spicy food
00:00:58
but before that we have some quick hits because there's still always tech news and stuff tech stuff to talk about yeah
00:01:04
actually i kind of just want to talk about uh our last video that we started working on
00:01:10
that's not out yet by the time you watch this but that i have fascinating thoughts on so we had the ford f-150 lightning here we've
00:01:18
talked about a couple times on this podcast yeah well we had it for a day that that one time a little while ago we
00:01:23
shot a video about it and sort of revealed our thoughts but um we actually i really wanted to like live with it and
00:01:30
review it for a full autofocus video so that's exactly what happened ford actually had two here an xlt trim and a platinum trim ford
00:01:37
f-150 lightning that we lived with for a little over a week so shout out to ford for letting us
00:01:43
make that and so as we're working on it we start thinking more and more about how we're shooting these car videos because this
00:01:49
is something we're getting more and more into i've talked about why in the past but we're shooting more car stuff and
00:01:55
one of the thoughts we had that turned out to be a great idea was to shoot the one ford f-150
00:02:00
lightning with the other 150 lightning yep so we had the red platinum trim as
00:02:07
the subject car and then the silver one as the follow car where we would stick a camera out of
00:02:13
it we actually had a couple options but the main one that we set up was uh we
00:02:19
have a tow hitch rig which has the dji ronin 2 on it which has the monstro and everything set
00:02:25
up and so we got to sort of get these stable shots from it and it got me thinking
00:02:30
what is the ultimate car shooting camera rig yeah and before everyone says
00:02:38
you just bought a camera crane for a car and everything like that do you want to talk about yeah the biggest part of that and the reason why we didn't use that
00:02:44
here is like we're still doing a couple things to get the insurance correct on that and you basically need permits you
00:02:50
are like the biggest target in the world if you were driving that around this part of the equation yeah this is part
00:02:56
of the equation so so you guys have probably seen on the studio channel if you haven't already definitely go watch it we built a camera rig with a tesla
00:03:02
model s which includes a moto crane arm attached to the top of it which can do
00:03:08
full 360 degree moves around the car up high down low all these controls from inside in it it
00:03:14
is incredible like the type of stuff you can do with it how dynamic of a shot you can make
00:03:20
super capable but as soon as you take that thing on a road all eyes are on you you do not get to
00:03:27
steal shots this is the thing i've done for the past decade on this youtube channel is
00:03:32
i didn't actually know that it was called this until a fellow cinematographer asked me like oh do you just like go steal shots in the public
00:03:39
or whatever and i was like yeah i guess that is what we're doing because she was like you don't get permits or anything like that i was like
00:03:45
yeah we we i'll go to the park and just like shoot some of the phone in the park and i'll just go
00:03:51
to some building somewhere and just go shoot on the front steps like in the city or i'll just shoot outside here
00:03:58
and anytime we start doing car videos i we've kind of done the same thing
00:04:03
where you might recall shooting the mclaren in that winter that was brutal that was brutal that was like really
00:04:09
hard three degrees or whatever it was but we're sticking a camera caught or sticking a camera out of a window of a
00:04:14
car next to it while we have a subject car we're stealing shots we don't have a permit to like use that road for filming
00:04:21
a movie or whatever some people might choose to do we're not top gear but we do want to shoot the car in a natural
00:04:27
environment so that's our best way of doing that quickly and efficiently so the camera rig that we've built with
00:04:33
the tesla uh you don't get to just drive around roads and start swinging the crane
00:04:38
around and stealing shots on public roads i mean for example we brought it to this really beautiful park this was
00:04:44
in winter so there's like literally no one at this park empty we were in a parking lot and the camera's not even
00:04:51
rigged up on the arm yet and we had a park ranger come and be like you guys can't do this yeah we drove up sorry but
00:04:56
you can't yeah so uh you can imagine how quickly you'd get pulled over trying to do something like on a parkway or a
00:05:02
highway or something like that so we had the f-150s we had the pair of them and we had this tow hitch rig that
00:05:09
was much more low key right this is why this is why i'm thinking about it as the ultimate like
00:05:15
video production mobile and there's probably other options that i'll go through but it's this very low key rig
00:05:20
on the back we'll show a picture of it yeah it's called the uh the kessler kill shock and then yep oh man i want to know
00:05:26
the name of that someone created a tow hitch adapter for it essentially so it holds up the ray rig pro the ray rig
00:05:33
holds up the kessler on these springs everything everything's behind the truck in like the small contained little ball
00:05:40
and you can drive around and people barely even blink at it because it's behind the truck they don't see it coming the truck passes by the cameras
00:05:46
you're just two cars driving around and nobody really thinks twice about it so we did that and we were able to get
00:05:53
a ton a ton of shots on back roads on regular
00:05:58
roads and you'd be surprised how good uh of a video you can make with just one
00:06:04
camera height we didn't go high we didn't go low it's just tow hitch height tow hitch height the whole time
00:06:10
um and then all the other benefits of f150 lightning are like there are tons of power outlets in the
00:06:15
back of the truck like there's lots of room inside for like brandon's in the back with the follow focus with a huge
00:06:21
back seat to lie across so everything seemed like it was great it was it's a silent vehicle it's just about as fast
00:06:27
as anything else you're gonna be able to shoot so i was like that that feels like the ultimate camera rig vehicle it
00:06:34
really did like we spent a whole day and like you said not only did like no one stop us or anything but there's
00:06:41
shots in this video where like we're passing people walking on the road and they don't even like
00:06:46
turn their head or double take because they don't even notice it because the truck is so big it's on the tow hitch on
00:06:51
the back even though it's a giant ronin 2 and a red camera on it like you barely even notice it um i mean i couldn't see
00:06:58
out of the rear view it was really funny to see the backup camera and the truck constantly was freaking out whenever i
00:07:05
had to put it in reverse because there's obviously something on the back blocking it um but yeah and it's super smooth we
00:07:12
had it like shocked we were going down some pretty tough back roads and it kept the shot super super stable between
00:07:19
ronin and the the shock mounts on it it was awesome the downside you can't shoot forward
00:07:24
we did talk about this though there are and like i'm not the the expert on this
00:07:30
but i know there are front mounted tow hitches that you can get so the ultimate vehicle would be one of these f-150
00:07:36
lightnings with a car rig on the back and a rig on the front or at least just a tow hitch so you can swap it when you
00:07:42
want to do a little more of a target there yeah
00:07:49
sure obviously that's a little more high key being on the front of the truck but that that was the only downside like
00:07:54
getting a shot of the back of a moving car you could like point a camera through your windshield and look at the car or you can like go out your sunroof
00:08:00
and look at the back of the car but the best way to do that that we've found has been with the crane until potentially
00:08:06
getting a tow hitch on the front of an f150 lightning okay and then yeah just being able to charge there's a little 240 volt outlet in the back like we
00:08:12
could get infinite power for the ronin batteries for the camera batteries for the monitor batteries everything can be
00:08:17
plugged in on all the 120s and still have extra yeah and like not you can be charging the batteries and then there's
00:08:23
still another 110 volt plug right underneath the license plate that's normally for your trailer because
00:08:29
you're when you're running a trailer it needs the lights connected to it and the brake lights and that needs power so you you can literally the tow hitch directly
00:08:36
above it is a plug and there's even a mounting space for like a v-mount uh like if the ronin is holding is using
00:08:42
v-mount or anything like you can power and have the power sitting on the tow hitch into the ronin and then that can
00:08:48
be plugged into the yep to the back of the truck my the one vehicle that i've thought of that i
00:08:54
think could possibly be better than the f-150 lightning doesn't exist yet okay but it would be
00:09:01
an electric minivan like a canoe oh with a sliding door with a sliding door
00:09:07
so you can go side so that you can get the side proof just a side trailer hitch i'm just kidding
00:09:13
because you can hold the ronin in the side pointed out the side no wind noise and just get a side profile shot yeah we
00:09:19
shot a lot of lamborghini like that because casey rented that mini man right there he shot outside and you could go
00:09:25
on public roads pretty easily because it's and and your seat belted in that's the best part that's also like
00:09:31
let's not say safe also none of this is legal advice do not take anything we say but i mean like shooting picture you're
00:09:36
a cop on the side of the road and there's a couple things you can see drive by one you see a camera
00:09:42
car with a rig with a crane on top of it driving by with the thing swinging around pointing at another truck i'm
00:09:48
pulling that over probably i don't even know why i'm just like i can't what is happening if i see the f-150 with the the little trailer
00:09:56
hitch we had on the back with another one following closely i'm not thinking too hard about that if i see a minivan
00:10:03
with the door slit open 50 50. yeah i think you could you could attract some attention with the door
00:10:09
slid open driving fast enough with a minivan but i yeah or like the old hatchback
00:10:15
with brandon hanging out the back like oh pull that over in an instant i mean we have we never really shot on real roads like
00:10:21
that because of how dangerous that was like when you see those shots of when brandon used to hang out the back we basically have a big parking lot behind
00:10:28
the building that we do it in um but that means the entire video is shot with the same background for the whole shoot
00:10:35
but generally my my philosophy and we can wrap up after this my goal with these videos and it always has been like
00:10:40
this for the gadget videos and everything is to give you a sense of what it's like to own it and and be
00:10:46
there in real life so i put it in the environment that it's normally going to be in when i review a phone you see the phone in my hand
00:10:53
in my lap and on my desk and things like that which is where it lives and with a car
00:10:59
you know we want to shoot like on a track because it's super cool but 90 of the time you're not on a track right
00:11:05
you're out in the neighborhood you're driving you're pulling into your driveway you're going to the grocery store and so being able to steal shots
00:11:13
and actually shoot the thing in the place where it's supposed to be is the biggest challenge and i think we
00:11:20
sort of just unlocked another little option for us there i think and i'm really excited for people who listen
00:11:26
here to watch the finnish f-150 video which should come out next week um hopefully it's like it's some of our
00:11:32
best it's easily our best rolling shots we've ever done i agree um brandon was amazing on the controls like we found
00:11:38
some really beautiful back in the woods kinds of shots it's spring everything's green with a red
00:11:44
truck driving through it just looks amazing yeah it's really good stay tuned for that yeah um so let's take a quick
00:11:51
break we'll come back and we'll do hot ones but i guess do we still have trivia before we take a break we do there's
00:11:56
even gonna be trivia halfway through hot ones so it's just like all levels here this is right we have a treat of an
00:12:02
episode for everyone brain games all right question one what year was the first ford f-150
00:12:09
introduced i'm not good with years i'm never good with years it's funny
00:12:14
because on the inside of the cap it has the first it has the date of the model t yeah but that's fine but that's yeah
00:12:20
model t oh boy i'll think about it all right we'll be right back [Music]
00:12:34
all right welcome back from the break wow this is a this is definitely a very visual
00:12:40
episode what's going on here if you're an audio listener uh i apologize in advance this is going to be way better
00:12:45
for videos we'll we'll try our best to uh and we'll definitely edit out the chewing noises so yeah
00:12:51
you've seen hot ones i'm assuming at some point you've seen hot ones incredible show if you haven't my god definitely go watch an episode um what
00:12:59
we have here in front of us is 10 hot sauce bottles uh adam andrew and i also have 10
00:13:06
chicken nuggets wings whatever and substitutes substitutes but what we're going to do
00:13:12
is uh have these uh sort of fun interesting conversational
00:13:17
type questions they will likely get spicier as the sauces get spicier and uh
00:13:23
we'll just uh we'll go through it and we'll have some fun this is something kind of a lot of people have wanted to do i feel like every time you watch hot
00:13:29
ones you're like i wonder how far i would get or how i've always wondered i mean speaking of you have done hot ones
00:13:36
do you have any tips for us that's true that's someone that's done it already yeah true okay yeah uh top three tips
00:13:41
number one careful around your eyes that's for sure don't forget that one tip number two
00:13:47
uh it's very tempting to commit to eating like the whole wing every time
00:13:54
usually they're coated in in whatever um you are not going to want more than
00:13:59
one bite of the last four bottles i'm just telling you right now i only have one bite of nuggets though oh so you'll
00:14:04
be you get yeah one bite each is fine okay um and i would say just uh just
00:14:10
have fun just don't think about it don't think about your face okay yeah yeah yeah
00:14:17
we're going to basically be dabbing all of these because since we're at tech studio we don't have the biggest kitchen
00:14:23
we don't have bowls to like to accurately uh toss all of these in so we will be
00:14:30
dabbing each of them i promise we will have enough hot sauce on all of them sauce number one funny enough you don't know this adam's wings that he got are
00:14:37
actually already buffalo flavored so he's already adding a little bit of spice onto it
00:14:43
i did not realize that when i picked them up this morning so i think the format is eat the wing
00:14:48
then do the questions right yes practice also adam is eating the wings here because that's what sean evans does and
00:14:54
adam wants to be as authentic as possible him and nardwar are like the interviewee gods i need to
00:15:00
watch some of those too yeah i i need to try and get on their level i need to channel them for this episode number one
00:15:06
the classic hot ones all right we'll go that's actually delicious yeah right yeah exactly shout
00:15:12
out to the classic hot ones that's a good one all right number one starting easy for marquez
00:15:18
yeah when and why did you decide on 30 fps oh wow well i never actually decided
00:15:24
here's a i have done videos that aren't 30. really yeah i did a bunch of screen
00:15:29
casts back in the day that doesn't count well i was just trying to max out the frame rate so i had i have some 60fps
00:15:35
videos out there somewhere um when did i decide on 30 i
00:15:42
i don't know if it was ever a conscious choice it was just at some point i noticed that 24 looked bad
00:15:48
okay like so do you have any old actual videos that were 24 no like was your camera
00:15:55
defaulted at 30 when you first started shooting yes past okay yeah here's the worst thing that ever happened to us
00:16:01
when we shot the elon musk factory tour we shot that on john's camera and we
00:16:08
shot on two different cameras at once we had one camera in the ronin following us and one camera on an off angle that was
00:16:14
mine mine was at 30. john's is at 24. and so i had to sort of
00:16:20
conform the 24 video up to 30 or conform the 30 down to 24. which way did you go
00:16:27
24 up to 30 looked even worse so i confirmed 30 down to 24 and that video is in 24. so that whole video is
00:16:33
24 i never noticed yep yeah wow do you think that was on accident or do you think john did that on purpose i
00:16:39
genuinely well john shoots 24 everything exactly i figure like he just didn't remember to switch it or maybe he just never wanted to i see you john yeah i
00:16:45
know you did that on purpose well played john that's hilarious i always hear the story of how his biceps were on fire during that interview yeah because the
00:16:52
ronin the easy rig for the ronin broke or wasn't hooked up correctly so he had to
00:16:57
hold the ronin the entire time just like that yeah that was a solid 25 plus minutes straight of 40 pound rig you've
00:17:04
picked that thing up yeah that thing is heavy not fun that's crazy shout out to john and his biceps
00:17:10
yeah all right wing number two number two what is this so this is a new sauce i've never tried this is it is a wax
00:17:17
sealed and stamped on top i think i will say this one looks a lot more intimidating than the classic i'm
00:17:23
telling you one through five are fine it's six through ten that you just just gotta worry about just chill my plate is
00:17:28
just gonna have all the sauce on it so you guys are both from jersey what's your favorite thing about jersey
00:17:36
it's gonna be food related thank you actually
00:17:42
all right first of all jersey gets a really bad rap i think we both know this is sure
00:17:48
it's not even really the jersey shore it's people who go to the jersey shore um the jersey shore is beautiful people
00:17:54
who go as long as you stay away from seaside heights and belmar like in certain parts of there during the
00:17:59
summer they get real rough but like i love the shore um but yeah there's some good food here we have this thing called pork roll or
00:18:06
taylor ham depending on where you live in new jersey it is basically just spam stealer it's
00:18:12
taylor you're a taylor ham person i am yeah uh we might not be able to continue this podcast is this like a jersey debate that i'm
00:18:18
missing out on it is the jersey debate and there's not a jersey debate oh there's two i'll get to the other one
00:18:23
what's central jersey yeah okay i live i grew up in central jersey there is a central jersey you're saying uh the
00:18:29
debate is is there a central new jersey here's my thing when people say yes
00:18:35
right when people say north jersey they're talking about like the city side of it and people say south jersey
00:18:40
talking about the shore side of it so like i'm probably the northern side of new jersey but it is nothing like
00:18:47
barney rutherford like it's just newark area yeah so i don't know central feels a
00:18:52
little more anyways i don't think i even we have great bagels we have great pizza and pork roll isn't amazing yeah there's
00:18:58
also a little bit of a pride in some of the heritage of new jersey for
00:19:04
me anyway okay so i was born and raised in jersey there's a solid crew of alumni that
00:19:12
first of all when i go like far away and people ask where i'm from i kind of just default to saying new
00:19:18
york because people know what that is like if i'm in london on a commercial
00:19:23
shoot and someone says where are you from and i say like a town in new jersey they don't know what that is if i say new jersey
00:19:29
they might know what that is but if i say new york ah okay yeah i know where you're from no further questions i can yeah i can i can understand i'll have
00:19:34
some anecdotes small talk whatever it doesn't matter but there is a you know ultimate frisbee was invented in new jersey that's a
00:19:41
little bit of pride you know i've played for new jersey teams my whole life so i've went to college in new jersey
00:19:46
it's not that i don't like new york but i like the fact that i can get to new york quickly but i have a little bit of
00:19:51
a different id so that's fun we're super easy easily accessible to new york city and
00:19:57
philadelphia yeah but being able to live in the suburbs and stuff like that i mean yeah without the worst prices in
00:20:02
the world not great prices but also yeah uh new jersey has this weird thing too where we host a bunch of sports teams
00:20:07
that call themselves new york which i despise so that's why i'm a devil's fan because they're the only team that calls
00:20:13
themselves the net jersey used to be the new jersey nets and then they moved back in their heyday when they were good
00:20:18
jason kidd richard jefferson the giants and the jets both play in new jersey those are both new york's teams
00:20:24
the red bulls play in new jersey that's a new york team that's all true so we have hockey yeah it's fun is that why
00:20:30
you're a hockey fan new jersey hockey hockey's uh they're dirt cheap too okay fair all right next sauce yep next sauce
00:20:38
how's your face i'm feeling okay that one was a little bit that was good but it had okay it was good but it had a kick i was like like
00:20:44
trying to have a straight face while you guys were talking yeah i still the lingering of the like the burn you
00:20:50
feel now it will just it will just keep going cool so that's the thing i've always wondered about because we have
00:20:55
tried the last dab there's a difference between trying the last dab and trying the last dab after 10 sauces right back
00:21:02
to back my theory and we'll get more to this later is the bomb
00:21:08
is the most painful sauce here 9 and 10 are just more layers on top but
00:21:15
you're still burning from the bomb yeah long after you eat it yeah anyway that's like a good story you want to put the
00:21:21
climax right before the conclusion yeah a little bit of a downturn at the end all right
00:21:28
next question smartphone feature you can't wait to see disappear
00:21:33
when you say feature like when i hear the word feature i usually think of something that's good so is this just like anything that can be in a
00:21:39
smartphone that i want yeah because you need to be good it could be something you like it's such an easy choice lightning port
00:21:45
it's so stupid fair okay that's a good one i mean i can try and think of something else but i would like to see ultra wide selfie
00:21:51
camera come back i'm mad that it disappeared i would love to see that on literally
00:21:57
every single phone my brain went to things that went away that i want back okay like good speakers remember boom
00:22:03
sound htc yeah they did it great it's all like crappy like tiny slot speakers
00:22:08
now so i want to see those go away but i also want boom sound back like those types of things i think i don't have a
00:22:13
one m8 lying around try using that again low key that's like one of my top three favorite phones ever
00:22:19
it looked beautiful great design it was a tank but also like google play edition m8 was sick yeah if i had to
00:22:26
like actually answer the question though something that is there non-programmable extra buttons so like a
00:22:32
bixby button or like and that's on it that you can't actually change just seems pointless we're way
00:22:38
too far into this like industry to not give people the option for something like that yeah crazy yeah
00:22:44
2022. wake up we should be able to wait wake up yeah all right i feel like
00:22:51
one question for sauce is that how we're going all right sauce all right how are you guys feeling totally fine that one had some tomato to
00:22:56
it i liked it totally fine that one was good yeah i think ah
00:23:01
this one looks i mean i feel it on my tongue which is making me scared for the rest of it but like right now i'm enjoying myself my entire mouth is on
00:23:07
fire hell yeah that's what it's i'm excited for this mustard base fun fact i used to hate
00:23:14
mustard as a kid my sister liked mustard hated ketchup i liked ketchup hated mustard we had this
00:23:20
thing one time where uh i think we went to like a sports game maybe it was a baseball game or something and my sister
00:23:25
and i were like dared each other to try the other thing and i remember trying mustard and being like
00:23:31
huh that's not bad spicy brown mustard it took me way too long but like a brown
00:23:37
mustard is fantastic for hot dogs i'm a mustard person now all right this is sauce number four
00:23:47
that's a good one oh my god okay there's not a lot of food options around
00:23:52
here cardio nutrients facts yeah so what is the perfect order from wawa and
00:24:01
taco bell wow wawa has a crazy menu um
00:24:06
the perfect order perfect order i do remember like a commercial recently being like that's like the goat order
00:24:12
but it was like a mcdonald's thing i was like that was stupid that's because mcdonald's always likes to pretend that they have like the perfect meal yeah
00:24:18
it's like whatever so i can tell you what i order but i don't know that there's any perfect best perfect order no i need the
00:24:25
perfect order so my perfect order is i get a hoagie with breaded chicken
00:24:31
uh barbecue sauce lettuce tomato um pepper jack cheese melt the cheese
00:24:38
for sure and then uh doritos and a chocolate milk
00:24:43
when you say milk cheese do you mean like toast the sub yes oh man which they don't always well i'm
00:24:49
always on the fence about toasting it because like i think i like bread to just be bread but like i do agree that the cheese
00:24:55
melting is kind of nice there's an art being kind of warm yeah i agree uh taco bell i will start this
00:25:01
off by saying the best part about taco bell is there's a thousand options for super cheap so like not sponsored i like
00:25:07
this is just i will be sponsored by taco at some point it's my dream in life um but like
00:25:14
there's a lot of things i always switch things up they always have like a fun five dollar cravings box but if like i had to pick one right now
00:25:22
chicken quesadilla ah they don't have the quesarito anymore which i really really want them to bring
00:25:28
back i usually go chicken quesadilla one of the things probably like right now the chil the chalupa
00:25:35
and then always always always spicy potato soft taco for a dollar it is the
00:25:40
the goaded men item at taco bell nobody knows about it i feel i shouldn't
00:25:46
say nobody knows about it but it just seems so underrated no one ever like really thinks about it
00:25:51
every single time it's my side at taco bell this is the most passionate i've seen you in it is the most passionate i've been about anything in my life
00:25:58
people people listening to this can probably find a taco bell near them i don't know if you're anywhere near wawa but specifically spicy potato soft taco
00:26:05
fantastic it's a dollar i mean you i could just order five of those and that could be the perfect meal there incredible
00:26:11
wait wait wait wait this sauce that was incredible i caught some seeds that was spicy the phoenix cantaloupe melon and
00:26:18
scotch bonnet hot sauce by angry goat pepper company terrible label amazing sauce i said that a couple times on the
00:26:24
show terrible bottle is ugly terrible that's one it's not it doesn't
00:26:29
taste like mustard though at all it's cantaloupe melon but it's delicious it's really sweet literal cantaloupe
00:26:35
cool all right this is the fifth one number five los calientes
00:26:40
sauce of the summer thank you sean oh you went it's true i like this sauce okay i know i like i know i like this
00:26:46
stuff but again a little nervous you know don't get ahead of yourself here yeah i feel like you're acting like a pro now
00:26:52
so mr beast and david blaine both do some pretty extreme stunts on youtube
00:26:58
if we were to do that on the studio channel would you guys rather do
00:27:04
a long and difficult stunt like an endurance like an endurance stunt or quick and easy for
00:27:10
example jumping out of an airplane quick but difficult or burying yourself for 50 hours relatively easy but long oh
00:27:18
man wow i will say i i consider myself someone
00:27:26
like i like to do some risk-taker-esque things like skateboarding
00:27:31
snowboarding i like it sure i didn't want to like yeah yeah i could sound i i sounded that lame
00:27:37
um rock climbing snowboarding skateboarding i love all that stuff jumping out of a
00:27:42
plane is terrifying to me yeah but i don't know why quickly it is and burying yourself might be one of the
00:27:49
scariest things i think of when you first said that i was like the quick flashpan stunt is probably harder to do
00:27:55
which is why it's over so quickly and then the endurance stuff is like not so bad but i
00:28:01
i fancy myself uh mentally strong enough to do an endurance stunt so i i was defaulting to
00:28:07
that but i don't know i think i think i'd probably i would jump out of a plane i the one thing that was funny about you
00:28:13
rob david blaine when we shot that ascension project the person who taught david blaine to skydive luke akins um
00:28:20
he's literally skydived like 20 000 times or something crazy in his life literal goat skydiver i'll never meet
00:28:26
someone who skydived more than him um i watched him do like several skydives out of the helicopter while we were
00:28:32
there just to test the air like he's that guy um and then there was a test
00:28:38
after we yeah like after we shot all that he was like bro anytime you want to skydive i can get you like we'll do one
00:28:43
tandem and you'll be free jumping out of a plane like i can teach you whatever i've blacked out in the air and woken up and landed safely like this is that guy
00:28:49
right so he's he's that guy i a couple months later uh recently did
00:28:55
you see this project where two people two cousins whatever yeah red bull they they flew up
00:29:01
in planes next to each other got to a certain height nosedive the plane skydive jump out of the planes
00:29:07
swap planes and then right the planes and keep flying them it's like the planes the pilots what they tried to do
00:29:14
they had parachutes back up but they were to do this thing over the desert and
00:29:20
uh one of them crashed one of them didn't make it back into the plane and was able and had to bail the
00:29:27
plane crashes that was luke oh was it really absolutely
00:29:32
and so i saw on his instagram later he posted like yeah they'd done a bunch of like successful
00:29:37
uh attempts previously just like in the time leading up to it so the one that was broadcast on hulu or whatever
00:29:44
did fail but they did actually successfully do a pilot swap and like that's that guy i would become
00:29:50
that guy he could my life could be in his hands and i'd be fine would you be buried alive with him
00:29:56
buried alive now that would be crazy i would let luke specifically push me out of a plane and instruct me on how to
00:30:02
land i think i would have to go with that because buried alive is just terrifying although like i'm really good at napping so
00:30:09
maybe i could i was closed in the trunk of the f-150 for eight seconds i gotta get out of here all right
00:30:14
podcast listeners heard it here first skydiving on the studio chat i'm not going skydiving i'm terrified i will
00:30:21
man up to say i am not a man man enough to skydive that's that i think
00:30:27
all right how are we feeling halfway through feeling good so here this is the this is the turning point right when you play
00:30:32
golf it's 18 holes of golf you get through the first three holes you're just warming up you get this is really nine you make the turn at nine
00:30:39
now you really gotta move right now you need the mental this is the back the back half of the back half
00:30:45
this is okay after trivia oh you gotta take a trivia and then add break okay we're
00:30:50
taking a break okay so next trivia question by the way the score right now as it
00:30:55
stands marquez has seven andrew has four so andrew you gotta come i'm behind i'm always impressed by how close i am
00:31:01
because i don't remember many i got the one about my dog right so that's that's how i'm feeling
00:31:06
all right websites are built using html what do those letters stand for
00:31:13
i got that one nerdy question and break
00:31:19
[Music]
00:31:28
all right welcome back welcome back to the second half of hot ones which is where you really usually fast forward to
00:31:34
see the guests really sweat you didn't fast forward this time but i'm just saying this is where it gets real
00:31:39
so number six number six let's just get it started i will say my nose is leaking a bit hell yeah how are that's why we've
00:31:46
got 4k usually sean asks at the beginning how are you with spicy food that's is it too late
00:31:53
i think we can still talk about it um i don't know i i like spice i've
00:31:59
i'm convinced 15 of my diet is cholula which is like not you know that spicy
00:32:04
but i just appreciate hot sauce but i very quickly get to the point where i'm like this isn't enjoyable
00:32:10
anymore um i think we're gonna be on that part soon but i am not good at spicy dear god i
00:32:18
favorite youtuber under 1 million subs and why oh my god i'm so excited for this
00:32:24
you already have an answer internet should kill he's a cooking youtuber he is fascinating
00:32:31
i don't even know if he's doing youtube full-time yet he might be doing it now really really good cooking videos
00:32:36
short sweet funny he'll take times where he gives you a really good recipe and then specifically
00:32:42
we'll put that recipe in the first 10 seconds of the video so when he knows you go back to it you don't have to scroll through the whole thing
00:32:49
really really funny again i don't know that's he's hilarious and the food he makes is
00:32:54
amazing and i've used his recipes so many times i can't even count that's a good one it actually is good food yeah
00:33:01
the one i just thought of just past a million so i can't use it well how recently did it pass mainly well that one caught up like a month ago
00:33:09
if you can't think of another one that's fine i'm julie milkey okay hilarious she just hit a million
00:33:15
yeah no she's been she should be way over a million yeah so i'm gonna give her a shout out at 1.01 million nice
00:33:21
yeah there you go squeaking in yeah wait that one was hot yeah i got it you getting water it was good but it was hot
00:33:28
water or milk i'm getting water they're both getting water we're both getting water
00:33:34
yeah told us not to doing it he's probably he's definitely right but he's our resident hot sauce
00:33:39
expert so i believe anything he says but also it just feels good to drink water so andrew because you were so excited
00:33:45
about that question i have one for you right okay cool if you can still name five items from
00:33:50
the maggiano's menu i'll give you a cookie what kind of cookie your choice okay
00:33:56
for the listeners oh man a restaurant i worked at for quite a
00:34:01
while actually it's good food it's a chain but it's pretty good for what it is yeah it's a chain it's actually owned by the same
00:34:07
people that own chili's which was great because when i worked there i got a discount at chili's also
00:34:14
for up to four people that's pretty good perk yeah wow fifty percent off that is a huge pair this is awesome chili's is
00:34:20
pretty cheap already too but anyways um rigatoni d spaghetti meatball spaghetti this is
00:34:26
going to be hard because the menu makes i mean that's just the pasta every italian thing you could think of but then brigadoni uh noodles marsala cream sauce
00:34:34
mushrooms chicken onion chicken parm chicken piccata chicken marsala rigatoni d burger 20d is fantastic you ever go
00:34:40
back and eat there uh a couple times i still know almost everyone that works at the place i used to work at so they're
00:34:46
all awesome they're yeah i've worked there for a long time but have i done five yet yeah you've done like seven
00:34:52
okay you definitely got the cookies i did not think you would remember that they had some pretty good dessert also i
00:34:57
mean they had a great tiramisu i've never worked at a restaurant but i couldn't tell you anything about my first job mine was a chain restaurant so
00:35:03
like the menu had to stay the same all the time pretty much it was like very very specific so i was like that was it you're a caddy
00:35:10
yeah name every golf club that was in the bag well it's just a golf club everyone had a different bag what was
00:35:15
the most popular brand of golf ball that people use titleist titleist 100 still
00:35:20
is that just because it is the most popular yep wasn't there like a really big people were like obsessed with nike
00:35:25
golf balls for a while when tiger was in his prime nike apparel was massive you
00:35:31
couldn't go to a golf course and not and not see tons of people with nike stuff but also tiger is nike golf so they when
00:35:38
they had a success with the apparel they spun up nike golf balls nike golf clubs nike golf bags and like a lot of young
00:35:45
kids got all that stuff and then when tiger left nike or got dropped or whatever
00:35:52
nike golf died really instantly died nobody bought the sasquatch driver nobody bought any of
00:35:58
the other stuff they made anymore sasquatch drivers i remember yeah when i was probably like 10 my
00:36:03
grandparents lived on the backside of a golf course my grandpa would just collect the golf balls that got hit into
00:36:08
their backyard and we as kids would go sell them to the golfers that's smart nike was the most requested one there
00:36:15
were they just the most expensive and we were selling them first no it's just tiger bucks tiger is that illegal
00:36:22
no this is lost property lost and found okay and it probably wasn't legal to sell things on the golf course but we
00:36:28
were like on to the course we went on to the there's a road that divided the like
00:36:33
green and the t for a whole and we just sat at the fence at the road and like put them in and like i would
00:36:39
specifically always sort out the nike ones and they were the first ones khan every time was it a private or a public course i have no it was probably a
00:36:46
public course yeah okay cool i could see that that's fine all right was that where you were going with that question not at all okay that
00:36:52
worked out all right we're uh we're in crunch time here these dark sauces are scary this
00:36:57
looks like blood this one has a scorpion on it doesn't it yeah 13. yeah angry
00:37:04
looks like a scorpion getting shot this is the first one i'm not excited for one two three four so four left
00:37:11
oh okay i can see marquez sweating a little bit oh yeah i'm not even gonna smell it i'm not gonna smell it i know
00:37:17
that'll be that's this one really sucks here we go it looks like blood yeah it's like darkness
00:37:23
dark blood i'm not looking forward to this one because like the first four sauces the first five sauces are
00:37:28
actually sauces i would put on food yeah and then you very quickly
00:37:35
divolve into devolve drink the melon one for comfort oh i
00:37:40
smell this from here it's not even near my mouth yet okay both of you are ultimate frisbee players
00:37:47
what is one trend from technology that you want to see happen to the sport i know that i know one a trend yeah you
00:37:55
go first because i'm stat tracking yeah really good advanced stats
00:38:01
so we have it's it's starting it's early but um yeah like in the nba you can see
00:38:06
not just like miles run and like efficiency from certain parts of the floor but really
00:38:11
dive into like when certain players are run for certain people on certain parts of the court how efficient are they and maybe you start
00:38:17
to optimize and run certain plays more often because the stats prove that you should yeah
00:38:22
and then you get teams that are analytics driven and they only run six plays because they're all the best plays for their numbers
00:38:29
i i can't wait for that to happen at all times that's right i mean when we used to play audl and they still do it oh my
00:38:34
god they had stat tracking stuff um i mean like but it was generally someone who wasn't getting paid with an ipad on
00:38:40
the sideline yep pressing a few buttons trying to keep up with things and it did a very poor job
00:38:46
it basically was tracking goals assists blocks touches and touches yeah um
00:38:52
it would be really cool like you said people completion rating in the red zone completion rating on throws over 50
00:38:59
yards stuff like that hot zones yeah turnover zones you could start to see where um teams are like playing and
00:39:06
scoring points on break side on open side like in the end zone which way they're running like yeah
00:39:11
stuff like that would be really cool and could probably help grow just like offensive and defensive uh
00:39:19
strategy right well strategies yes sorry i'm like constantly like thinking about swallowing as i talk and it's uh
00:39:26
i'm feeling it it's pretty hot that is that one hurts that was pretty good i actually
00:39:31
it hurts but it was like a barbecue based one and it kind of had that like sweet barbecue in the beginning but i
00:39:38
think because it was in the beginning yeah because it was thick makes me feel like it's really coating my tongue yeah
00:39:44
yeah it's a hard pivot andrew you crashed a drone can you tell us about that story
00:39:51
i think we've talked about it once but pretty much to give myself a little credit fpv drone
00:39:57
prerelease software we didn't have the correct credentials to be able to fly it
00:40:04
freely so you had to fly it within it was like a 50 foot radius of you and
00:40:09
we're on the side of a building so we're basically just doing straight lines back and forth back and forth yeah but an fpv drone is supposed to be
00:40:15
nimble and quick and so i'm like going back and forth dipping and turning with the fpv goggles
00:40:22
on and then i like come in real hot try and do a like full speed 180 turn and it just like
00:40:30
dives really hard down but it's hard to tell that on the goggles next thing you know i just see this like
00:40:36
bush kind of in front of it and it clips the bush flips upside down scrapes
00:40:41
across the end like probably like 30 feet on the asphalt upside down
00:40:46
seeing that like it felt like i was in a car crash and i was like skirting on the hood the the roof of the
00:40:52
car yeah and i just think i ripped it off and blamed obstacle avoidance or something like that and that's exactly
00:40:58
what happened and then looked at marquez wondering if i was fired or not so i'm still here but um it was fun highly
00:41:05
highly suggest it yeah the second one it's fair to say that's like a pretty solid ocean story i'm gonna have to beat
00:41:12
that out later but what's your favorite ocean travel story from
00:41:17
when you guys were going to interview people or going to conventions or ces anything like that
00:41:24
i can kind of think of one first bill gates interview uh that yeah plane gets
00:41:31
we brought everything did we bring travel imac i think we brought travel imac for that yep
00:41:37
uh layover in chicago big snowstorm gets delayed
00:41:43
we waited in newark basically till the point where our connecting flight left
00:41:49
and then um we decided we we're not gonna make this we're gonna have to reschedule they tell us go downstairs you can wait at
00:41:56
baggage claim and get the stuff you checked on the plane because the plane's not taking off like anytime soon yeah
00:42:02
sit there people baggage baggage check tell us that we can get it but we're gonna have to wait for a little while we waited for
00:42:08
three hours at baggage claim finally went up again and asked somebody and they're like i don't know who told you that there was no chance you were
00:42:14
getting that and then the imac all our tripods a ton of equipment just gets
00:42:19
shipped off to seattle for us to not come for like yeah almost a week i think wow it had to lay over and everything
00:42:26
laid over they kept it in seattle so it arrived at seattle and then they called me and they
00:42:32
were like hey your stuff's at the airport and i was like i know i'm not there and so they kept it they have this room
00:42:38
where they keep bags and they just kept in there so a couple weeks later when we flew out we picked all our stuff up at
00:42:43
the airport we landed there and we're like he got all our stuff and they're like yep and then we picked it up was there like a red camera in there do you
00:42:49
know no because we always travel with the red on us
00:42:54
keep that thing but tripods and travel computer and all that stuff wow yeah all right next sauce
00:43:00
yeah are you guys uh i feel like we're really oh no oh i forgot about it is next
00:43:07
okay i am dying can you smell i want you to see i want you to see if this smells like
00:43:13
the one because the bottle is different than what they have online but i have a feeling hot ones just bought as many of
00:43:18
the original bombs as possible and now they just have a different bottle i'm genuinely concerned for sean evans
00:43:24
intestines how does he do this they're gonna study his body yeah this is insane
00:43:32
and he has it multiple times like i would imagine they have shoots stacked up yeah like you've spent two days
00:43:37
that's crazy today he's on twitter it's crazy that just like oh my god i'm like a little lightheaded
00:43:44
okay i'm really not looking forward to this this is the bomb i was very excited about this show until this moment
00:43:50
yeah i was too okay cheers fellas
00:43:57
oh that has a kick oh you just wait what was your weirdest fan experience
00:44:07
just go straight to the back your throat and like yeah and then just
00:44:12
you're feeling it weirdest weirdest fan experience could be positive could be negative
00:44:19
whatever i'm just gonna try not to do milk till the end that'll make me i'm trying to like not touch that won't happen okay
00:44:25
careful careful on your eyes go for it on your eyes um
00:44:31
you know what's funny uh i'll sometimes be out with like the team or something and then someone comes up
00:44:36
and recognizes me and says hi takes picture they're like how often does that happen it's actually usually not too bad
00:44:42
because most tech fans we don't really go out that much
00:44:51
yeah like there's there's like there's like actually famous people where they go outside and as soon as they go
00:44:56
outside it's awful and you can't go anywhere um luckily we don't have that so shout out
00:45:04
to everyone who's very respectful and and nice and you know i take pictures of people
00:45:09
so uh yeah i don't know if i have any weird huh i mean ces like you have some people
00:45:15
that are half fan half trying to sell you something like there's a guy trying to sell you on these iphone cases
00:45:21
once at ces the first question you asked him was like oh do you have one i have
00:45:26
an iphone 12 do you have it for that he's like we don't have that one yet it's like it's hard to pitch this when you don't have the most recent iphone
00:45:32
um but that's more of like a sales thing we've had really good fan experiences um
00:45:37
okay what was your favorite huh anyone who recognizes me feels pretty awesome
00:45:44
i've actually been noticed at the climbing gym a couple times recently and that makes me feel kind of sweet but then they probably see me climbing like
00:45:50
that guys sucks um i i guess i could kind of pivot this to
00:45:56
the things i feel the worst about like it's weird saying fan experiences but
00:46:01
you know viewers viewers of the show um i've had people tweet at us saying hey i
00:46:07
saw you guys at blah blah blah but i didn't want to disturb you and come say hi and i feel bad about stuff like that
00:46:13
it's like the people who are being that respectful are generally the people we want to say hi to and like totally down
00:46:19
to say a picture if you ever are in a scenario where you see someone on youtube that you enjoy
00:46:25
just take context into like if they're maybe shooting something chill for a minute
00:46:30
and then like if you see them taking a break just be like hey what's up just wanted to say hi blah
00:46:35
blah i think we're always down to take a picture we're always down to meet people um if you see someone like you know with
00:46:42
their family eating dinner stuff like a quick eye might be fine and stuff like that um like i said i like saying hi but just
00:46:48
like don't interrupt we've been shooting stuff and people will just like oh i love your stuff like
00:46:54
when we're very obviously have cameras pointed on stuff and then that's just like i can't believe how many words are
00:47:00
coming out of your face how are you doing i'm trying to distract myself yeah you're sweating
00:47:06
oh you're sweating i'm right now a quarter of the weight through this ice cream i'm trying not to br yeah i've suddenly
00:47:11
started chugging milk um i mean my tongue is my tongue hurts but
00:47:19
oh i just touched my eye i think we're good i think we're good but okay um would you agree with everything i
00:47:25
said okay yeah well just making sure i'm not talking for marquez and he's like don't ever [ __ ] talk to me
00:47:32
what was the last youtube oh my god okay yes i'm so glad we put adam on camera he
00:47:39
was gonna do this off camera um the last youtube video movie or tv show
00:47:45
shot that you saw that blew your mind
00:47:50
the last one that's so hard can i tell you one of my favorite shots
00:47:55
ever and something that i will always bring up marquez right there's an episode i'm gonna run out and
00:48:02
see you guys there's an episode called crossroads and band of brothers and it's this scene
00:48:08
where they're there's a crossroads obviously and the the group that you're following is uh
00:48:14
trying to move past this but they see that um there's like some german soldiers at
00:48:19
that crossroad and they're all in a trench but they have to advance towards that hill where the road is and
00:48:25
um there's a show about war by the way it's world war ii it's like a it's a tv series they're all about an hour long
00:48:33
fantastic series really really good series um but basically they call they throw some smoke grenades
00:48:39
and they call everyone to charge and everyone starts charging before the smokes pop or one guy starts charging
00:48:44
and then the smokes pop and it's just like beautiful shot of all these soldiers running through this smoke and
00:48:50
i just think it's one of the like coolest pieces of film or whatever that i've seen
00:48:56
andrew how are you doing this i just like feel like i actually got like one more spice one piece further
00:49:02
back in my throat as you said that yeah yeah are you uh on the way down now no
00:49:08
it's still going up yeah all right then what's your favorite shot i'm gonna get fired for suggesting this yeah um
00:49:15
actually just recently watch the top gear f150 lightning review and they have a shot where a hot air
00:49:21
balloon flies over the top of the truck how flies over the top like
00:49:27
they go under under under the bumper and point up to the sky and the front bumper is in the shot and then a hot air
00:49:32
balloon goes over the top what that's really good how do they even find line up the shot and know that it's going to come over do you think they saw
00:49:38
a hot air balloon and was like let's get this shot or did they like rent the hot air balloon no they definitely i think they i think they saw it coming lined it
00:49:45
up and just nailed it and i appreciate that it's always more impressive when it's like youtube stuff
00:49:50
because you know that's not fully planned if that wasn't a movie you know they hired that balloonist um and everything yeah balloonist is that what
00:49:58
you call it yeah what is the word i guess it's just pilot yeah yeah pilot i like balloonist john lee is a
00:50:04
balloonist now isn't he old old ultimate friend also played on that nitro poorly stat
00:50:10
tracks hammerheads he's playing for portland now he has i definitely touched my nose because i can feel it in one of my
00:50:16
nostrils now who is your dream guest for the podcast
00:50:24
podcast you could you could get anywhere because i podcast there's people who i want to have on the
00:50:30
channel and just talk tech for 12 minutes yeah there's people i wanna have on the podcast and pick their brain for an hour
00:50:35
i think we've talked about this before actually uh tim asked us this once i have a couple on the podcast story no
00:50:42
not on the podcast we just talked about it randomly uh do you have an answer trying to think i don't know if i have
00:50:47
one if i could just like pick somebody that i don't necessarily would be great for a tech podcast but john oliver would
00:50:53
be amazing i think he makes some of the best i know it's for hbo but like most people watch it online yeah that'd be
00:50:59
amazing um someone who i think would be really good lando norris is an f1 driver but he also
00:51:05
has a youtube channel that he has people that work on it and they do like f1 gaming and f1 tech stuff and i just
00:51:11
think that combination of professional athlete and also like doing really well in the social media
00:51:17
world could be a fun combination that could work on the podcast pretty well yeah i thought of
00:51:22
two okay uh chris paul i want to talk to you about just like
00:51:27
stress everyone got excited except for me sports strategy i just want to be like
00:51:33
just walk me through like a defensive possession like everything you were thinking about during his possession i would love to do that with film i would
00:51:39
just i would just watch film with him yeah and film session and derek blastberg
00:51:46
is that another basketball player no the guy from um the met gala who's just oh oh that we talked about before
00:51:52
okay everywhere man i want to talk to that guy more i mean he has done a lot of youtube stuff he could explain the fashion world to us
00:51:59
that's true that's another youtube fashion explain the fashion world to me dairy explain fashion while eating 10
00:52:05
spicy wings yes there's a lot of questions on the bottom yep all right number nine yeah we had a linger on that
00:52:11
stick a couple in there this one's called pucker butt so we'll be fine this if i remember correctly the guy who owns
00:52:18
this company is the guy who created the pepper that apollo is the last one it's based on you don't why did i do that oh
00:52:25
it's green though i remember in the show they've talked about this actually tasting pretty good for
00:52:31
oh no that's that i know that smell oh okay
00:52:36
this that comes out fast the really hot ones just have a certain smell
00:52:42
uh there's gotta be a specific pepper in here that is that smell i want to say it's scorpion
00:52:48
but like you can just smell it and you like gag a little bit because you know how much pain you're gonna be in cheers
00:52:54
what was your first cell phone smartphone or piece of tech in general some samsung flip phone
00:53:01
flip phone do you remember the model no it was blue lg voyagers for smartphone then i had
00:53:07
the motorola droid and first piece of tech that i really bought was the ipod touch
00:53:12
really the one that just went out of um the one that's gone now oh it was stolen at
00:53:17
school two weeks later damn did you ever find out who stole it no i was stolen during swim class out of my
00:53:24
locker you had swim class yeah you went into pool at your public school columbia high
00:53:29
school had a mandatory swim class so did i mine but i didn't go in the final super useful the final exam was to tread
00:53:35
water for 45 minutes oh yeah you did tell me about that that's crazy like a whole class
00:53:42
there it is it finally hit andrew excuse me trying to do it away from the microphone
00:53:47
well you didn't have a lock on your locker i think i
00:53:53
lost my lock um so i put it in the locker closed it but it wasn't locked and then
00:54:00
my ipod was stolen because smart kids look at the lockers in the locks um question i'm not a chocolate milk
00:54:06
first piece of tech for cell phone smartphone and piece of tech first first cell phone i don't even
00:54:13
remember the name i feel like i was in seventh grade so this was probably
00:54:19
how old are you in seven it was probably two thousand two thousand two 2002
00:54:25
yeah and it was just something funny there are people listening to this right now that weren't even born yet oh my god
00:54:30
yeah shout outs um i don't know it was like the most basic cell phone ever i do not remember a name
00:54:36
or company i just do remember that flip not flip oh pre-flip whoa what um
00:54:43
and oh there may have been no there were there were some flips out but those were like the nice expensive ones i just know
00:54:49
it was indestructible my friend would constantly be like this phone can survive anything and take it just throw
00:54:54
it at the wall and the battery would pop out it wasn't but it was like similar to that style back then it had an antenna
00:55:01
that you pulled out that was amazing it was like the og fidget spinner yeah this one's a slow burn yeah
00:55:08
it keeps attacking it's getting worse um my first smartphone i did i was the
00:55:13
voyager into the heiress route you were voyager and de droid right yeah i feel like i was on the i was the that
00:55:20
was the budget the heiress i remember that little ball though on the bottom my
00:55:25
mom had the heiress did she yeah it was the way less cool version trackball um and then first piece of tech like i
00:55:33
bought or um yeah let's go with that you bought like with your own money my allowance
00:55:38
money yeah yeah what was your allowance uh ten bucks a week mine too to take out
00:55:44
the trash and the recycling and tie up all the papers and all that stuff everywhere and i had to do dishes and
00:55:50
the lawn yeah yeah good stuff wow it builds character yeah
00:55:55
i went out i took the trash out once and there was a raccoon in the trash room you got 15 bucks that week no i didn't i
00:56:01
asked for a raise they didn't get it those are yeah you need to negotiate yeah i was like i need hazard pay for
00:56:07
this listen osha has a word um first piece of tech i bought
00:56:14
oh man i don't know if i really remember that all that well probably like an xbox
00:56:20
360 or or like bought an xbox 360. or maybe it was big baller over here uh
00:56:26
how old is that i think i was in college by that point okay that makes sense then yeah
00:56:31
or end of high school like what was your go-to game halo halo i mean call of duty 2 but halo
00:56:38
right answer that was a test correct okay are we ready
00:56:44
this is it the last one what is it called so this last one's called the last dab
00:56:51
yeah we call it that because it's tradition around here to put a little dab on the last one you don't have to andrew and adam
00:56:58
but oh my god but you can if you want to that is a great sean evans i mean we
00:57:05
have to put the last dab on or else it's just a plain chicken wing here yes
00:57:10
well mine has a little buffalo so i think have you been feeling that i feel like it's like adding okay
00:57:16
there's no more ice cream you know and i'm halfway through my milk oh my goodness you're done with your ice cream you ate a pint of ice cream ice cream
00:57:23
that's awesome it did help though thanks to hayato for uh suggesting that because ice cream works way better than the milk
00:57:29
adam do not eat all of that really do not eat all of that that's it i'm just telling you right now
00:57:36
don't eat all of that oh i was gonna say it's like heyato right here like on your shoulder oh
00:57:41
no i feel like a child now for what okay basically every morning you guys play
00:57:47
pool how did that start
00:57:54
that was a mistake about a pool table oh this is a mistake i wanted to use it
00:58:00
so we started playing pool every morning you just bought a pool table well
00:58:06
it was an empty studio for a while no there's a longer story
00:58:11
really oh a pool table is a pretty random buy just for
00:58:16
the hell of it wreck area oh man okay yeah
00:58:21
last ces no two cesses ago from when we went we saved the hardwood suites with dbrand
00:58:27
they had a pool table we played all week because the drain guys are really really good at pool oh my god
00:58:35
and we really enjoyed it so when he moved down here it was between pool table or ping pong table and we picked pool tables yeah i was gonna try to get
00:58:41
a combo table but those are bad at both no i have to go milk
00:58:46
ours is way better at being a little table we could have gotten a ping-pong table that's only a ping-pong table
00:58:52
or a pool table that's only a pool table well pool table okay yeah um if mac was voiced by a
00:58:58
celebrity which celebrity would it be hmm i feel like you need to answer this
00:59:04
first because i might be biased based on like his antics and his behavior that's interesting
00:59:10
um yeah his little fluffy tail roaming around the studio yeah and just like
00:59:15
pops up like you got food i like food um guy fieri
00:59:22
food is what i thought about crazy hair crazy hair everyone loves him
00:59:30
see for me he's like uh he's like a rock like he's a strong
00:59:35
person the rock dwayne johnson no not the rock [Music] with a heart of gold
00:59:42
i'm going with gordon ramsay oh man i actually thought of that
00:59:51
quickly running out of milk yeah i just need to think of something there's plenty more
00:59:56
it's warm too uh he would be
01:00:04
i can't think this is very uh very difficult this is this feels worse
01:00:10
than when i did the show it might have gone hotter since then oh my god
01:00:16
he would be um james may
01:00:22
from top gear i love that answer that is good that is the best answer and that is what i will continue to tell everybody
01:00:28
for the rest of my life james bank yeah what is the video that you guys had the most fun working on
01:00:37
honestly acura nsx just like everything went so well living
01:00:43
with a supercar fun concept i had a track day just a fun thing to do
01:00:50
met cool people went on a cool trip wait can you explain the track day how did that happen this is a first
01:00:58
yeah acura um this was we've done autofocus video with the tesla model 3.
01:01:04
this is another high-tech car but it's a it's a supercar so when acura dropped off the car they were
01:01:10
like we booked a day for you at this track so live with the car for a week shoot what
01:01:17
you want and then meet us at 8 am at this track and we'll show you what this car can do
01:01:25
and then then that was that part of the video it was great yeah that's cool um i like
01:01:31
i kind of have to oh i was a big casey neistat fan before i started and within two months we were doing his studio tour
01:01:38
and he was just super nice super accommodating really fun day so that'll always kind of be i think one of my
01:01:44
favorite videos do you remember like shaking his hand at that moment saying hi it's on video
01:01:50
oh really yeah oh i haven't seen it i gotta check it out we'll put it up on screen i think i totally played it cool
01:01:58
and then asked for a picture with him later and then posted it and spelled his name wrong
01:02:04
on twitter did you spell it it might have been on facebook i thought there was a it was like i thought it was
01:02:10
dt at the end for some reason oh okay nice stop nice that amount of water and chocolate milk all
01:02:16
right that's a great place to end it ended up that's it you want to do the uh i'm good answer
01:02:22
the trivia questions oh yeah yeah yeah okay we gotta finish it off with the trivia answers finish
01:02:28
strong what a chaotic episode this has been you're making me feel bad for
01:02:33
bringing this i still have to edit this oh [Music]
01:02:40
question number one was what year was the first f-150 introduced
01:02:49
1943 final answer i'm gonna guess 65
01:02:56
are we doing close this year do you wanna do who got the closest or do you wanna do no points if you didn't get it how about you
01:03:02
give us each a year on either side and then if no one gets that just no points okay so like if i said 65
01:03:09
456 work okay marquez was your answer again world war it's not a world war 19 1955 final
01:03:15
answer unfortunately no one gets any points too yeah yeah the answer is 1975.
01:03:24
okay okay that's way later than i thought same you have to do ads after this
01:03:32
this is going to be the spiciest ad read all right question number two was my
01:03:38
head is heavy that protects markup language final answer
01:03:45
andrew i didn't know it so i'm not gonna yeah my guys is literally sweating right
01:03:50
now sweating and correct oh my god the answer is html does stand
01:03:55
for hypertext markup language all right so final scores marquez has eight andrew
01:04:02
four that's gotta be hotter than it was when i was on the show yeah sean dude what are you doing man
01:04:08
every day every day twice a day sometimes that's nice oh man shout out sean evans sheesh i tried to like my
01:04:15
stomach dude like for my pride i tried to not have milk or ice cream just to do it like how he does it and i couldn't
01:04:21
shout out to philip defranco he did the whole show and then three wings at the end
01:04:27
