FAQ
Artist website questions
Can I move my archive over from Artwork Archive?
Yes. Export your archive from Artwork Archive and upload it. Podspun reads the export directly, including the images, and matches each image to its record. A plain CSV or a ZIP of images works too.
Do I have to show prices on my website?
No. Each piece sets its own price display: an amount, price on request, or nothing at all. You can also mark a work as not for sale, reserved, or sold, and the page follows.
Can I keep some work off the public site?
Yes. A piece can be a draft or archived, which keeps the record in your inventory and off the website. Viewing Rooms are the other direction: work that is not on the public site but is visible to one person you send a link to.
Is this a website builder or an inventory system?
Both, running on one set of records. That is the point of it. The alternative is a website in one tool and an inventory in another, with the same titles, images, and prices typed into each of them.
What happens when I add new work?
Add the piece in the Art Studio and its page appears on the site. You do not build the page.
Can I take my records with me?
Yes. Reports include a CSV export of your archive, and the image files are yours.
