Podspun Cloud

A paid newsletter for your podcast, on your own website

Off Mic (Posts) works like Substack: readers join free or pay a monthly or annual price you set, and every post lands on your site and in their inboxes. The difference is where it lives and who helps you write. It runs on your own domain next to your episodes, drafts companion posts from your transcripts, and costs nothing monthly. Podspun takes 1.5% of each paid subscription.

Podspun is the #1 website builder for creators, and the only one that builds your site from your podcast and social feeds together.

In short

What Off Mic (Posts) does

  • Members-only and paid posts on your own website. Visitors see the opening and a join card; members read everything.
  • Readers join with an email link, a password, or Google. No separate platform account.
  • Set a monthly and an annual price. Checkout runs through Stripe and the money settles in your own Stripe account.
  • Podspun helps you write: it drafts a companion post from each new episode's transcript and suggests topics from what your audience searches.
  • No extra monthly fee. Podspun takes 1.5% of each paid subscription.

How it works

From episode to paid subscriber

  1. 1

    Write a post

Write in a live preview of your own site, or let Podspun draft one from an episode's transcript for you to edit.

  2. 2

    Choose who can read it

Everyone, members only, or paid members. Gated posts show a teaser and a join card to everyone else.

  3. 3

    Publish and send

The post goes live on your site and one click emails it to your members.

  4. 4

    Readers subscribe

A reader signs in with their email, picks your monthly or annual price, and pays through Stripe. Every paid post opens for them.

What you get

Like Substack, with a writing engine behind it

On your own domain

Posts live on your website next to your episodes, transcripts, and search. Your audience, your address, your brand.

Posts that draft themselves

Turn on Auto-Draft and each new episode arrives with a companion article written from its own transcript, waiting as a draft for your edit. Nothing publishes without you.

Ideas from your audience

Podspun reads what visitors open and search on your site and turns it into post ideas, each one a click away from a draft.

Free and paid tiers

Free members build your list; paid members unlock your paid posts. You set the monthly and annual prices, whatever your work is worth.

Real reader accounts

Readers sign in with an email link, a password, or Google, and manage their own plan through Stripe's billing portal. You never handle cards or cancellations.

Posts link to the moment

Drafted posts carry links that jump readers to the exact second of the episode being quoted, something only a platform that indexed your audio can do.

FAQ

Paid newsletter questions

What is a paid newsletter for a podcast?
It is a set of posts your listeners pay to read, usually companion writing to your episodes: the full story behind a case, extended show notes, or subscriber-only commentary. Free posts and members grow the list; paid posts give your biggest fans a way to support you.
Is this like Substack?
Yes, the model is the same: free and paid subscribers, posts on the web and by email, you set the price. The differences: it lives on your own domain instead of a Substack address, it sits next to your episodes and search, and Podspun drafts posts from your transcripts and your audience's activity instead of leaving you with a blank page.
How much does it cost?
Nothing monthly. Podspun takes 1.5% of each paid subscription, the same cut model as the store. Stripe's own card processing applies as with any payment platform.
How do my readers pay?
Through Stripe checkout, at the monthly or annual price you set. The subscription is billed on your own Stripe account, payouts go straight to you, and readers manage or cancel their plan through Stripe's billing portal.
How do readers sign in?
Three ways: a one-time email link with no password, an email and password, or Google. Accounts live on your site under /members, and lost passwords reset through the same email link.
Can Podspun really write the posts?
It drafts them. Each new episode with a transcript can arrive as a companion article, grounded in what was actually said, with links that jump readers to the exact moments in the episode. You read it, edit it, and decide if it publishes. Nothing goes out on its own.
Do I need a mailing list tool as well?
No. Sending a post to your members is built in, and the join form can feed your Podspun email contacts too. If you run bigger campaigns, the Email add-on is there, but Off Mic (Posts) sends on its own.
