finance department. I grew up in DC, but for the past six years I've been in New

York pursuing my PhD in finance from NYU Stern. I study how financial markets respond to fiscal and monetary policy

with a specific focus on the asset pricing response from news coming out of Congress and the Federal Reserve.

[music] I interned at the House Budget Committee when I was in college where I got firsthand experience learning about

the budget process in Congress. And then after I graduated from college, I spent

two years as a research assistant at the Federal Reserve Board where I learned more about financial markets and asset

pricing. [music] And so this combination of both monetary policy and finance as well as my fiscal policy experience
