Okay. Can I do it again? That was really good. Okay. >> I'm Marin Vero. I'm an assistant
00:00:05
professor of business economics and public policy. I'm originally from Uruguay. I have a PhD in economics from
00:00:13
Northwestern University after which I did a one-year posttock at Princeton University. My research is in
00:00:19
microeconomic theory and mechanism design. And in particular, I'm interested in studying the design of
00:00:26
economic policies in situations in which there is very limited information about
00:00:31
how people might behave and what their preferences are. I became interested in this research area I think mostly
00:00:38
through interacting with faculty during my PhD and talking to people who were very strong both in thinking about
00:00:47
economic problems very rigorously but at the same time thinking about their real
00:00:51
world applications and [music] how they affect policym what I'm the most excited
00:00:56
about here at Wharton is really like working with the people so I get to work with like some like brilliant colleagues
00:01:03
and also get to know like super good students. So, I'm kind of mostly looking
00:01:07
forward to those interactions.
