I wasn't planning to call into Lord How,
00:00:02
but it was there as a redundancy. And
00:00:03
then one of the $6,000 batteries that I
00:00:06
bought dropped a cell. I'd paddled for
00:00:09
16 hours. Didn't know Lord How even
00:00:11
Well, I knew it existed, but I didn't
00:00:13
know anything about Lord How when we
00:00:15
decided to go to it. So, was it
00:00:17
surrounded by rocks? What kind of
00:00:18
currents are there? And I'm approaching
00:00:20
it in the day to night. So, I've been
00:00:22
paddling 14 hours. And then I got there
00:00:25
and the wind had turned and I thought,
00:00:27
"Oh, yep. Bit of a tailwind. No problem.
00:00:30
We'll roll right in there. And it ended
00:00:32
up being like a 3 and 1/2 knot current.
00:00:34
So I had to sprint for 8 hours after
00:00:37
after a 14 16 hour paddle. So I had a
00:00:40
26-hour day. And that included an 8hour
00:00:44
sprint. And the current was so much that
00:00:46
literally if I had more than one
00:00:48
spoonful of food, I went there and it
00:00:51
took me two minutes to get back to
00:00:53
pointing front. So I I literally was
00:00:56
sprinting for eight
