I'll sit with a counselor and if I'm explaining all these things she'll say

could be driving or something and I could turn on a dime someone cut me off I trying to kill him or you know it'll

be that stupid thing over sudden and then speaking to her she'll say she'll say that's exactly how you're

supposed to be for someone that's come through your life you know so how you deal with that

is you go to counseling and help you you know recover and help you build yourself

and you know there's there's uh reasons why you're like the way you are and

that's childhood trauma that's a lot of people they get into trouble is they

haven't not dealed with their childhood trauma you know as a man we I think we start reflecting at the

age of 40 on on our past but um you know if we can all go to counseling um to speak to a counselor it's way better for

you I mean I a lot of people for me when people say I only weak me go to counseling man it's weak men that don't

go to counseling it's weak men that don't go and look after themselves because if you can't can't look after

your mental emotions you know and deal with situations like like an adult man that means you're like a you're still

you know you're a weak person so a weak person that can't you know like I saw this guy um his name uh

and that well to me he's kind of weak because and there's nothing wrong with

going accounting to deal with issues like this for me he's weak because he he

these sort of things which is not good so you know um being able to cope with these certain things I've I've been able

try to you know um do something to people that do something to me like like stupid something was with a with a on

the road or something normal you know I sit there and you know and say okay maybe that person's wife is in the

hospital he's going to go maybe the Su just let it go okay yeah I love that one one certain

incident you know it's kind of funny this this I think I said in another podcast this guy I I was in living in

Newcastle and I just finished a counseling session and the guy was driving really erratic and I pulled up

to him I said you know I won the winner and I said I said bro you know that driving could get you in a lot of

trouble and he goes what the [ __ ] you started going off and my my first thought in my mind is I want to get out

of punch this [ __ ] guys Ean what I you know the next thought was no Mr you're not you're going to say okay

wonder the one up and just drive on and that's exactly what I did but you know

the funny thing is he he messaged to my fan page later on saying oh man I didn't

dad you'll never be proud of uh he was just he's always a he's a judgmental

thing I I put it down to is like um how I could cope with that is that no one educated them on how to do things with

sort of [ __ ] you know yeah um yes so you ended up being um incarcerated uh from what I can get there were two

stints there's a stinton wadia and a little stinton the rock the old Mount Eden jail so the first one was um when

you um beat up a kid and took his Doc Martin so what sort of age like 17 18 uh I think yeah I because I went to

back then there was no Youth and adult jobs it was just you know throw you in the toilet and that's it um yeah but the

sad thing about the the those guys is that they knew who we were like we just we went to the same stool that's how

dumb it is you know I mean I mean when I sit back and look at it oh my gosh you were just dumb but you

know I wasn't just dumb I was just I didn't know you know I had no direction

I had there's a lot of things going on in my life what I was sad about was I

included my older brother who actually went to jail also in the mounts um and and he was studying um to be an engineer

and he actually became an engineer and that's what's sad for me is like he was

incarcerated because of me you know and I shouldn't people say he was Inc because he because he made his own

choice but you know it's we were in a situation that was quite quite hard um

to try and deal with when we don't have like nowadays we know about education

about trauma and talking to someone about it speaking about it to enhancing and being better person um back then

there was none of that it was just this guy's running around crazy people didn't

know he had schizophrenia yeah none yeah I mean none none of you guys had it like the

upbringing you had this was always going to be the outcome you know you never really had a chance so of course you

were going to end up being an Angry Young Man you're not you're not I'm not

trying to justify your poor Behavior at that stage in your life but it was like the it was the the it was the only

outcome there was ever going to be CU you never had a chance yeah I I mean like uh that's

exactly right and when I look back at now I think man I the only saving grace for me is finding that said that God put

in my life because I started a cycle of going into in the system of going to jail at a young age and you know no

nothing to fall back none of this [ __ ] I was just it would would have been the

next cycle would have been you know they were already trying to um you know get me to num up with groups you know the

mob you know doing these sort of things and that would have been a repetition if

I didn't leave in New Zealand you know the last thing when I came back um to to

when I came back from from uh from here to New Zealand um um and I got into a trouble and I assaulted a police officer

you know I went to court and the court said the judge says to me if I ever see you again here I'm going to lock you up

you can be in uh you can be um Australia's problem and that I should have laugh and for me when I think about

that I goes man [ __ ] you you were just starting to be you know you're a piece

God like I said um I found my purpose in life I don't actually I find God put my

to my wife at the time GE said I know there's a guy you know he just got uh he

just got 20 years jail but the the actual story is he actually done 20 years yeah and then um yep sorry yeah

yeah I mean he he was yeah wrongly wrongly convicted and it was um yeah some dodgy police work um the the whole

thing was terrible and he served an entire life sentence he got um like a a lot of like like a lot of compensation
