00:00:00
remember when I was first coming on the podcast and we were introducing me a different way every time we should bring
00:00:05
that back yeah every time we don't have the creative juices to figure that out every week every
00:00:12
week remember when I did the one where I materialized from the hollow deck oh yeah yeah you spent like half a
00:00:21
day it does that long it took me like 3 hours it was still too much time all
00:00:27
right okay um we got pixel we got pixel we've got pixel and we've got ai ai Google says
00:00:36
pixel cameras don't take photos they create
00:00:41
[Music] memories what is up people of the
00:00:46
internet welcome back to another episode of the waveform podcast we're your hosts I'm Marquez I'm Andrew and I'm David if
00:00:53
you are listening thanks for listening but if you're watching on YouTube thanks for watching too we also have Adam over
00:01:00
here and uh there's a seat next to you this time there is it is currently empty it's been empty for 2 weeks while Ellis
00:01:08
was on vacation I think we should change that whoa he's back the magic of editing
00:01:14
I'm back Ellis is back this is a perfect time to say if you're listening to Audio Only You have no idea what just happened Ellis is back that's what happened
00:01:20
that's exactly what happened glad to have you back anyway we got a lot to talk about this week because this is Google week we had Google's event where
00:01:26
we got pixel we also got pixel we got pixel as well as pixel pixel pixel and
00:01:32
AI so we're going to talk about all that stuff and also uh pixel cool oh can I
00:01:38
tell you one of the first things Ellis said when he came in this morning sure he said was there a Google event this
00:01:46
week oh to live amongst the normies were you fully offline did you fully offline you missed the Google you think you
00:01:53
think this sunburn is possible when you're when you're on your phone no way
00:02:00
just to be fair I said one thing before that I said I'm about to say something really stupid right now and then I said
00:02:06
was there a Google event yesterday so this episode is your Google event yeah so I will be silent I'll be suar p in
00:02:13
this scenario well no it's perfect you can ask the questions of of someone who hasn't seen the event right right and
00:02:18
then we'll have the answers it'll be great it's it's perfect Synergy okay so Google announced a whole bunch of devices and AI stuff it's their classic
00:02:25
fall event it's usually in like October I feel like but they moved it up here so we got pixel 9 we got pixel 9 Pro we got
00:02:34
pixel 9 Pro XL we got pixel 9 Pro fold
00:02:39
we got pixel buds Pro 2 we got pixel watch 3 and we got Gemini updates did I
00:02:47
miss anything I think that's everything that's everything I think that was everything yeah I did I definitely did it I blacked out halfway through lot of
00:02:54
pixel stuff uh so all the new phones the new hardware and then the new software um
00:03:00
yeah where do we start I feel like the phones I had the same general feeling as
00:03:06
I had with pixel 6 which is dangerous it is dangerous dangerous because the feeling I had was oh wow these are
00:03:13
really nicely built phones like really nice Hardware bright screens flat edges metal glass nice finishes nice colors
00:03:20
good looking displays good looking I think the camera bumps look kind of solid I think they look like very pixel
00:03:25
and in in a way they're still unique in a world of weird blobs on the back of phones and and then they've got all the
00:03:33
software and I figur this is the complete package they've finally done it but I looked back and that's exactly
00:03:38
what I said about pixel 6 and that did not turn out as well as it could have
00:03:43
you know what's crazy about pixel 6 I remember it coming out and feeling like oh this is like jewelry it looks really
00:03:49
nice and in retrospect those phones the way they're put together I I I do
00:03:54
remember us being like it kind of feels like they just went to Shenzhen and pied up a bunch of random parts out of a pile
00:04:00
and threw them together which is true um but the build quality was not great
00:04:06
these definitely feel like they have better build quality and I hope that that actually works out in the future
00:04:12
now this all comes with a price update as well they're all almost all more expensive than last year so the base
00:04:18
price of the 128 gig pixel 9 the entry is $7.99 and then you get to a 999 pixel 9
00:04:25
Pro a 1099 pixel9 Pro XL which is the bigger one um the bigger one being 6.8 in the two
00:04:33
smaller ones being the same size as 6.3 and then the pixel Pro fold pixel pixel
00:04:40
9 Pro it's just the next pixel fold yeah the folding one uh is $17.99 again and
00:04:46
it's also it's pretty significantly updated like it's very different so the first pixel fold I kept saying it's the
00:04:54
best one to use closed cuz it was this nice small wide aspect ratio super
00:05:00
reachable for all four corners I love that phone and I loved using it closed and I I opened it occasionally this new
00:05:06
one feels much closer to like the OnePlus open which was my favorite and I think the best series of choices for
00:05:13
shapes for a folding phone it's a normal size normal looking 6.3in phone on the
00:05:18
outside and then a big Square 8 in screen on the inside so new cameras new
00:05:24
Square sides new updates tensor 4 across the board 12 gigs of RAM for the bass
00:05:30
pixel 16 gigs of RAM for the big for the pros so a lot of good interesting stuff
00:05:35
here as far as Hardware but it's a pixel so you already know it's mostly a software story and I had one thought
00:05:44
watching the pixel event I don't know if this struck you guys also as I was watching the are you saying like just
00:05:50
inside the pixel section of the pixel event or like this whole event this whole event okay where uh you you
00:05:58
compare this to like a Samsung launch of a new phone or an apple launch of a new phone this event felt like it was not
00:06:06
aimed at the people who buy the phones it was aimed at the people who are following the AI Wars and shareholders
00:06:14
way more because they jumped right into like Google as a leader in AI we've always been doing AI we're taking
00:06:20
advantage of our neural networks and we're capitalizing on what we've already built and it's like all this story is
00:06:27
great for those people but if I'm just here to see if I want to buy the new phone or not it was really not focused
00:06:33
on that at all then they got to it eventually like half an hour later and they were like by the way here's what we're doing with all of the AI we've
00:06:40
built we're packaging it into these new devices that complete our Hardware stack and I'm like okay but do you care about
00:06:47
the phones and they told us about the phones so we got the new phone it was weird to see that they didn't really
00:06:52
even get to the phones till about half an hour through the yeah it was over half an hour I think which is a it's the
00:06:57
made by Google PIX event and it was just mostly Gemini stuff at in the in the
00:07:03
beginning they had some Gemini stuff in the middle and then they talked about Gemini again at the end they really
00:07:08
sandwiched all the Gemini in there it's a stark comparison to the storytelling that I always see in others even like a
00:07:14
OnePlus event or obviously an Apple event or a Samsung event where they're like this is the new hardware and now
00:07:21
here's how this new phone is going to be awesome for you look how great the camera is it's enabled by this Tech look
00:07:28
how great the screen is it's enabled by this Tech the battery life is amazing that's because we put the work in on
00:07:34
this and when I watched the Google event it was like upside down it was like we put in so much work on this Tech and
00:07:40
we're so far ahead on this Tech and we put in the work on this Tech and it's all going to come together in a phone
00:07:47
yeah and it didn't really describe what that Tech does for you exactly you know they were like this pixel has 45 tops of
00:07:56
compute yeah they talked about teraflops before they talked about and how many like operations per second
00:08:02
the Tok tokens per second they talked about all that before they talked about like how good the phone is at anything
00:08:09
you know how normally during a phone launch there's like the phone and then they talk about the accessories that kind of like build into the ecosystem
00:08:15
and prop up the phone this felt like they were launching an OS it was like Gemini OS and here's the devices that
00:08:22
use Gemini like the phone headphones and all these other things that like plug into it yeah it felt more like IO than
00:08:29
it did the pixel venge usually this is the stuff we see at like IO and all that stuff and then they have launched like
00:08:35
random one-off Hardware here and there at IO this was like yeah normally we're
00:08:40
used to seeing here's the phones and as we get into specs of the phones let's show what the AI is capable of which
00:08:46
they still sort of did but if you take half an hour of just Gemini and software stuff beforehand yeah it feels a little
00:08:52
different the problem with it is this is not the last time we're going to see this no in fact I bet almost all events
00:08:58
going forward are going to be so much more like this just made them way more boring oh yeah I
00:09:04
wonder about that like I think this was a reflection of where the pixels are in Google's priority list I still think
00:09:11
when you watch a new iPhone event or a new OnePlus phone or new Samsung phone they're still going to have the same
00:09:17
style of this is this amazing new thing that we built and then here are all the
00:09:23
technologies that enable how good it's going to be for you it just felt like Google doesn't have that same showcase
00:09:29
priority I think with new Siri coming this year this would be the best time if ever for Apple to just go straight into
00:09:36
like AI Focus stuff right off the bat and get into uh phones later in there
00:09:41
and still have a focus on it like they do really well but I would not be surprised if new siries is what we see
00:09:46
right off the bat I mean Google's focus on Android has sort of taken a back burner to Gemini right like I noticed
00:09:52
when we were at the event and we were do at the Hands-On event and we were doing the footage and stuff when they booted up one of the phones it shows the Google
00:09:59
logo and then at the end of the Google logo it like spins and turns into the Gemini logo on the boot screen of the
00:10:06
phone yeah so they're really like they're they have restructured their entire company to be based around this
00:10:13
one generative AI platform which is really risky and yeah we we talked a lot
00:10:21
in the past about how like Google has a lot to lose Microsoft does not have a lot to lose Microsoft didn't gain
00:10:27
anything really because still nobody uses Bing even though they you know leaned extremely hard into that you
00:10:33
couldn't pay me to you couldn't pay me to use Bing and and but Google you know has done the research to say like will
00:10:41
we lose anything if we depreciate the value of our products and the answer was no and that's why they got sued by the
00:10:46
government and so it's just it's it's insane that like I feel like at previous events it was like Hardware look at all
00:10:54
the cool stuff that we can do with machine learning and that we can do on Android and look at all the new things
00:10:59
that about Android and this the parallel to this is the IO event where they you know generally talk about the new
00:11:05
version of Android and all the new features in it this IO was just Gemini
00:11:10
Gemini just Gemini the whole time yeah and so they're kind of merging that into the pixel vent where it's like the like
00:11:16
Adam was saying like Gemini is basically pixel OS is Gemini yeah Gemini is the OS
00:11:22
of everything that Google does so they focused on Gemini on what Gemini's new
00:11:27
features are and what it's capable of and how they able to do that and then by the way here are the devices that have
00:11:32
it now yeah these new things I still don't even think they leaned into things that Gemini can actually do that are useful yeah they had a couple things a
00:11:40
few things we can go over them but depending on if they're useful or not I guess is before we leave this section I
00:11:45
do want to say that little hint for what trivia is coming later but in researching that question I went back to
00:11:52
the trivia or I went back to the made by Google event from 2017 oh and they
00:11:57
started that event talking about a back in 2017 yeah did they use the same
00:12:02
graphic of like the squares with the wires going into one square which comes out of the wir that person was hired
00:12:09
after this that person like David said better be getting royalties and he is a billionaire uals yeah yeah they probably
00:12:18
redid it with Gemini and uh now aren't paying anybody um sounds like we really
00:12:23
want to get into software stuff but you mentioned a lot about the phones do you want to just wrap up quick last thoughts
00:12:28
about the phones or is that we didn't yeah yeah uh okay I can go I guess we'll do the phones first then okay I assumed
00:12:35
you started phones already I could jump into the phones I mean so there's a couple I have a couple like highle thoughts and then I have a couple uh
00:12:41
like we can do the features let's do phones first then yeah little behind the scenes Marquez went totally Off Script
00:12:46
yes completely off scpt I do that sometimes uh but no I think the phones like I said at the beginning I think
00:12:52
they look great and uh from the two hours that I spent with them I think they feel great in the hand they feel very Flagship they feel comparable to
00:12:59
what we see right now from Samsung andle so it's going to be at least competitive in that way which is not what we
00:13:05
typically have from a Google phone I was really happy about that what was I'm trying to remember what everyone's
00:13:10
thoughts were when we first saw this leak of the bar cuz it seems like everyone loves it now I loved it from
00:13:16
the start there are some phone designs that look different in the render than
00:13:21
they do in person just they just hit different in person versus in an illustration and this is one of them it
00:13:28
just feels just rock solad I love it it's really good it is interesting that with the pixel 6 they like introduced
00:13:35
the camera bar design they they worked on that into the pixel 7 to make it feel more cohesive and then in the pixel 8 it
00:13:42
was even more cohesive where it was all sort of part of one piece of metal and then they had the back and then they
00:13:48
just more kind of got rid of it kind of strange they got rid of it connecting
00:13:53
I'd still say it's still there and it's still like the iconic pixel thing it's
00:13:58
the exact it's the same camera bar it's just updated it's kind of like because previously it was the cameras that
00:14:04
created the pill within the bar yeah the visor and then the sun went out went
00:14:10
away and they took the visor off I leave for two weeks and we're back to calling it a pill it's the bean it's the pixel Bean
00:14:17
the iconic curves iconic pix not all of them this one's definitely a pill oh my God pill yeah but it it went from being
00:14:26
a visor across the whole phone to if you fast forward it's slowly getting smaller and smaller it's no longer the edges of
00:14:32
the phone so I think it's going away from the visor that I think is so obviously a pixel which is why we have
00:14:38
feelings about it but I still think it looks good it's still obviously a pixel I think I think that's clear and it's very flat very Square I like it so
00:14:46
that's the hardware uh cameras are mainly unchanged as far as Hardware but
00:14:51
we've got a 50 megapixel Main and a 48 megapixel Ultra wide across all of them except for the fold so that means the
00:14:57
Bas pixel or the pro pixel they have the same main camera the same Ultra wide camera the same tensor chip so that's
00:15:03
great wait what does the fold have the fold doesn't fit as large of sensors in that body 48 Main so it's different
00:15:11
sensors there's smaller sensors in the fold uh and we'll get to the fold in just a second but I think across all of
00:15:17
the regular like pixel9 and pixel9 pro and pro XL they are just exactly what
00:15:24
you'd expect from that price range they're bright like 2700 nits or 3,000 nits they are 1080p uh 120 hertz on the
00:15:33
base and that's between 60 and 120 adaptive versus the ltpo which goes up
00:15:38
to 120 down to one on the pro phones they're all oleds they're all you know right up to the edges with even bezels
00:15:45
all the way around just in general like they're they make sense for the price yeah you're saying it makes sense to the
00:15:51
price which I agree with but previously what I loved about the pixels so much is that they were cheaper than what the
00:15:58
like yeah would ENT like this feels like we've just got into what every other really
00:16:03
about yeah the prices online there are there are some people and I've watched a bunch of impressions videos some people are saying this is the biggest change
00:16:09
they've made in a while and some people are saying this is like almost no change why is it 100 bucks more I lean more
00:16:14
towards the the first group I think they added a ton of ram they have much brighter displays they had to curve the
00:16:21
olet around to get the bezels even all the way across the phone they have I think Hardware worthy of this price
00:16:28
point even though the tensor is not like some huge power upgrade I think in general the hardware upgrades are worth a change in price but there are a lot of
00:16:35
people who are like this is like not really a different phone I just think previously the hardware was comparable
00:16:40
with other things that were the price it is now but it was it was knocking it down 100 or 200 bucks which would felt
00:16:47
like an a great deal it's a reason it won like MVP yeah because it was such a good deal now these are still great
00:16:53
phones but now you're you you're putting it up against all the other phones at the same price range actually just going
00:16:59
one for one instead you know what this makes me really interested about is what the pixel 9A ends up looking like
00:17:05
because the pixel 8A was almost exactly the same phone as the pixel 8 and there was this big question of like why
00:17:11
wouldn't you just buy the 8 cuz it's on sale by the time the 9A comes out or the 8A comes out and uh now you when you
00:17:18
have higher quality Hardware there's a bigger potential for there to be a gap
00:17:23
in build quality which could make the price go down significantly also considering the a is usually like $450
00:17:30
or something $500 there will be a much bigger price difference however you know
00:17:36
by the time the a comes out there could be sales sales are probably by the time this podcast comes out the the prices on
00:17:43
these might be $100 we already yeah but yeah that that's all going to be interesting to follow and then there's
00:17:48
the pixel fold which I think has the most changes versus the last generation the all yeah it's now synced up
00:17:54
obviously in SE in octob you know what September and August whatever versus when it usually came out October yeah um
00:18:01
and it is much thinner flatter sides it's like barely thicker than the USB
00:18:07
port for each side so you can close it up it's a little thicker than a regular phone it's the same size outside screen
00:18:12
6.3 in diagonally so it's it's like I said it's similar to the OnePlus open as the pixel 9 not as the as pixel 9 but
00:18:20
obviously new aspect ratio it's a little taller a little bit more of a regular size phone maybe a little less reachable but then you open it you get this
00:18:26
enormous 8 in screen that's also brighter you got the corner hole punch cutouts and yeah a couple extra features
00:18:33
I mean obviously it's still going to be the tensor I guess the word Pro just means 16 gigs of RAM cuz it's also a
00:18:39
pixel pixel 99 Pro fold could also just be more expensive it feels weird putting
00:18:46
Pro in there yeah yeah but it's got the tensor G4 and 16 gigs of RAM yeah they could have just called it the pixel 9 fold yeah no one would have been
00:18:53
confused or the pixel fold or just the fold well okay but I get putting numbers
00:18:59
on it the interesting thing about the number is that it assumes that they're going to make one every year which would be cool but that's also a pretty pretty
00:19:06
big engineering task to make four phones a year and one of them is a foldable um well what if they're iterative from this
00:19:12
point forward because I feel like this was a big jump I agree I think that last year was sort of the like test phase and
00:19:19
then they got that out of the way and they're like all right everyone else knows how to make foldables let's figure it out and we did it yeah second
00:19:24
generation I think is always interesting for any device you got the first generation of the go Google folding phone and we got to see what they think
00:19:30
a foldable should be like and the second generation is where they apply everything they learned from the first gen this is what happened with the
00:19:36
Galaxy zold yeah I was just thinking that it was like was huge pretty bad like huge jump and then it was like okay
00:19:42
we found our stride let's just keep it going so now yeah I expect it to be more iterative now but I think the number
00:19:48
nine almost signifies flat sides it's like this is the flat sided pixel fold and it'll be iterator from here on now
00:19:55
which is interesting because it feels like people like to take the opportunity of having the X version of Something the
00:20:01
10 version of something to make it like way better and way different but they
00:20:07
did so much this year that it feels like 10 is going to be fairly iterative too or it's going to be sick going to be
00:20:13
crazy it's going to be the trip triple fold uh no yeah so that's $ 1799 still
00:20:20
that is that's pixel full that's kind of it I'm I'm going to have to test batter is about the same size cameras are
00:20:25
different we'll see it's basically it can I yell you two for a second wait which two uh David and Marquez yes you
00:20:33
can I'm sorry neither of you Plugged In The Fold to a monitor when you had it for a second I need to know if it has
00:20:42
monitor they did not have monitors for us to plug it into unfortunately I just want something like Dex give me Chrome
00:20:48
OS on the pixel fold that's it I will transfer your yell to the pixel team
00:20:53
thank you and ask them why they don't do that Samsung and Google are the same company now so why don't they just put
00:20:59
that's another thing I noticed from the keynot so many so like Galaxy phones
00:21:04
they showed a Z flip before they showed a pixel yeah no that was a Motorola Razer plus oh the first one they started
00:21:12
the s24 ultra and then it was and they called it out by name and the test devices that they were showing Gemini on
00:21:18
were s24 Ultras and not Pi until the second live demo I think no the two first live demos were the s24 ultra and
00:21:25
the Moto Razer plus was the third one m and and the Samsung's the one that failed we
00:21:32
can get to I don't see I guess it's because this was leaked so much that they just
00:21:37
embrace it everyone knows what it looked like but I I haven't in years seen a phone company announce a new phone by
00:21:44
first showing other people's phones on stage and then starting to use the new unannounced phone without name drop yeah
00:21:52
yeah what is happening that was a very odd sequence of events but then they eventually revealed it we're not into
00:21:57
competitive we're not competitive or not competive look at us that was wild so yeah uh we got all the hardware
00:22:03
announcements the phones we'll see we're going to get our hands on them we're going to review them we're going to see if they're worth it we'll see if there's any big changes or any surprises we
00:22:09
noticed but I think the software is really what's going to make them feel like pixels which is usually how it goes
00:22:15
we should talk about the fold a little more I think um what else about the fold the camera design is weird the double I
00:22:22
don't know why they did that uh they kind of stacked it so it's a square now instead of just being I I don't know why
00:22:28
they didn't just make it look exactly like the pixel9 pro I I have one Theory but I need to hold the phone again to
00:22:34
figure it out hold the phone or I don't know I I was thinking okay you remember
00:22:39
the this doesn't make as much sense but you remember the Microsoft Surface how it folded all the way back unfortunately
00:22:45
and it needed to to like slightly slope the camera the so that it would like
00:22:50
yeah magnetically attached that comes to mind but this one doesn't fold all the way back so it doesn't matter so why
00:22:56
they do that David had an idea it was couple episodes ago that it was because like just getting too close to the
00:23:01
folding mechanism probably was interrupting some sort of ribbon cables or hinge or something in there but I do
00:23:09
think like we're talking about how the first phones uh like you know updated
00:23:15
the the visor and the like this is obviously a pixel this is not this could be anything and I don't like that I wish
00:23:21
it had the the like bar across the visor yeah the pixel the first pixel fold had
00:23:27
the visor on way across but there were no cameras on that side of the hinge
00:23:33
near the hinge so the other thing is just how big of a glow up this pixel is
00:23:38
in general this pixel fold is in general like the interior and exterior screen are both really bright they're both 120
00:23:45
HZ it's super freaking thin it's like one of the biggest interior displays uh
00:23:51
Google told us the biggest interior display but I think what was in the fine fine print was like available in the
00:23:56
United States yeah um that said the other phones that have bigger interior displays are like
00:24:03
8.03 versus 8.00 so so it's about as big as you can get pretty much um yeah I I don't know
00:24:11
I'm super excited about that one and the the fact that it's the same price is cool even though it's still insanely
00:24:16
expensive it is I wonder if this is the one that's going to get me to use a folding phone daily cuz I've had I've
00:24:22
like had stints with folding phones as my daily and then I just end up back like I've used the Galaxy Z fold for a
00:24:30
little while and then I just end up back on the slab phone yeah I'm like oh yeah I realize why I use the slab phone the
00:24:35
aspect ratio is way better but I think this one because it's a normal aspect ratio on the outside could get me yeah
00:24:41
the other kind of strange thing is uh the exterior display is like rounded
00:24:46
while also being contained by the metal bar yeah which it kind of looks like
00:24:53
there is just like a phone inside of a case that is part of it looks like the um The Velvet folding case remember when
00:25:00
the Velvet added the second screen with the case it's it's kind it's like a phone looks like it's like slid into a
00:25:07
dock on both sides the back also yeah it looks like two phones that were slid
00:25:12
into some phone docks like Cas that made it open that way but um yeah I don't
00:25:18
know I'm I'm most excited about that device it feels really good in the hand it feels so good I know I've said that
00:25:23
like sentence before about other phones but it does I just don't know how they had this big of a Glo up in one year it
00:25:29
is pretty crazy cuz going from like arguably what might be the best folding
00:25:35
phone when all these other companies had a bazillion years to do it yeah it's kind of wild talk about a Leap Frog yeah
00:25:40
seriously came in last place in the first heat and then suddenly won the second heat what was it called in the Olympics this year uh repage where like
00:25:49
you could like daning fail you could fail your first heat and then go into a
00:25:54
a second heat gole joged the first heat and booked it the second heat and they save their energy you guys came back
00:26:01
from that Hands-On just like I don't even care about the regular pixels that fold looks sick yeah I messaged the
00:26:07
slack and I was like I regret to inform you guys that Google cooked I think I said that in the video
00:26:13
too they cooked on this one they cooked can I throw one more question out or sorry are you done talking about Adam I
00:26:19
know you and Alex were looking at this yesterday but were you saying that tradein values were not very good this year they were not very good this year
00:26:25
I'm trying to look up some stuff a fold five 256 gets you 540 bucks that feels not
00:26:32
great 540 for a folding Samsung phone from last year it's like the most recent
00:26:38
generation outside of the new one that just came out am I am I crazy that seems that seems not bad if you do it cost
00:26:45
$1,800 I know but I mean compared to like you know Google and Samsung used to buy you a house when you turn in like if
00:26:52
you turn in a pixel fold you get 760 MH that's pretty but that's with
00:26:59
Google what if you do it yeah but I could literally hand Apple a sack of gold that I found at the end of a
00:27:05
rainbow and they'd spit on me like I think Apple gives decent tradein values for Apple phones I promise you they
00:27:11
don't really dude when I my fully speced out iMac Pro hold let me actually make
00:27:17
sure I have this right wait you can trade in LG phones they are bad with computer TRS I mean it's fair cuz like
00:27:23
Ellis is saying the tradein values before used to be insane so this seems like very remember I trade in the
00:27:29
$50,000 Mac Pro and they were going to give Meck like they don't give you if you trade in an LG g8x you can get $32 I
00:27:38
mean look on that's about right that's on eBay the zold 4 which I know is a year older is only going for like $350
00:27:46
or less yeah maybe fair I guess it's just we're so used to their older one I feel like it used to be Google and
00:27:53
Samsung would be like if you trade in something from someone else just just have it
00:27:58
and and free Galaxy buds it could also be that these folding phones are just so expensive so like even if they give you
00:28:04
$800 $900 you're still paying $1,000 for this phone I think that what the
00:28:10
companies see is like most people do not change phone manufacturers on a year-to-year basis so in the past it's
00:28:17
been like if you are willing to go Google we will give you a ton of money
00:28:23
because you were probably a Samsung like di hard before this and you're more than
00:28:28
you're very likely to stay in the Google ecosystem continuously so we're willing to give you more than something's Worth
00:28:34
to acquire you as a customer cuz customer acquisation cost is crazy more money than the Samsung fold
00:28:41
what the Google pixel fold gets more money than the Samsung fold then that's true I don't know like 200 bucks it's
00:28:47
probably still selling for more money I also just want to say I I I I was wrong Apple will still give me a third of the
00:28:53
value of this 12 that's pretty good that's crazy crazy
00:29:01
dog welcome back in my yeah yeah in in my house bro zflip 5 is only you get 300 bucks
00:29:09
for 300 feels low that just came out does feel low wow that feels really low
00:29:15
dang but yeah sorry to a little bit um yeah sad that the tradeing deals aren't great so it sounds like we really want
00:29:20
to talk about software after the break yeah that'll be the first thing we jump into let's take a quick break we got to do some ads but we also got to do some
00:29:28
trivia oh it feels good to hit that button again triv the lights are back trivia back to
00:29:36
having no shot at answering this October 4th 2017 like I mentioned before made by
00:29:41
Google event MH simpler times that made by Google event gave us such bangers as
00:29:47
the Google home Max a premium pixel book mhm and a hardware device manufactured
00:29:53
by a company called gortec what product was it gorch not gortex g o e r t e k
00:30:03
it's a Chinese company in 2017 2017 a hardware product that was manufactured
00:30:11
by gortex it must be good because the Google home Max is doing so well well
00:30:17
it's discontinued right yes yes I still have
00:30:22
one they're I use it every day they're pretty cool it's awesome I love it should have been waterproof and had a
00:30:28
mount to put like under the roof on your deck or something it would have been perfect I thought it was more like a living room they were also very I think
00:30:34
it would be so much better outside that was always my that might be a different product cuz it has a a touch surface on
00:30:39
top which is horrible outside if it rains it's voice activated this just a
00:30:44
volume slider do you guys want a little hint for this one I would love that in
00:30:50
my never ending quest to figure out how the speakers in the MacBook Pro work mhm
00:30:56
I identified gorte as a possible supplier of app of audio
00:31:01
components for Apple was not able to determine whether or not they made the speakers in the MacBook Pro but they are
00:31:08
on the list of the 10,000 suppliers that work with apple and they have in the
00:31:13
past done a bunch of audio stuff did they make the speakers in this Google product I have no clue I have no idea it
00:31:19
has speakers I think I might know but we'll have to think about that one the answers will be at the end like usual
00:31:26
and we'll be right back [Music]

00:33:37
form all right welcome back we want to talk about these uh new pixel Phone features now because there's AI
00:33:44
everywhere as we know and uh that's kind of what makes a pixel is there are the smartest Smartphones at least this is
00:33:49
what I've said about them in the past is they have all these features that are really smart I miss call screening every
00:33:55
time I use a non-pixel phone there are lots of things about these phones that are smart so there's some new stuff on top of Gemini and the whole event Rick
00:34:02
like from the start said like there's all these situations where people announce things at events and then they are coming soon or coming later which
00:34:09
almost felt like a direct call out to us although I'm sure we're not the only people saying that but we complain about it all the time so everything here was
00:34:15
live on stage they did demo it all live some of that backfired that's okay I'm glad they tried it um okay first one I
00:34:23
want to just jump in is pixel weather there's a new pixel weather app um it looks really good you can like move
00:34:29
around the tiles and there's all these beautiful tiles and all colorful and there's a little AI summary at the top like oh maybe wear some sunscreen this
00:34:36
afternoon because it's going to be hot something like that so cool it's an it's a built-in weather app that's better
00:34:42
than before the app looks great though looks great that it's like it's weird that they focus so much on the AI
00:34:47
summary part and that it's AI because the rest of the app just looks like a really nice integrated weather app totally normal weather app and they're
00:34:53
like but what if we put AI in it this is part of the whole like they are focusing more on Gemini than anything else thing
00:35:00
that doesn't make any sense to me it's like we built all these large language models how do we use it here it's like
00:35:06
guys people have brains they can see that if it's raining you should put a rain code on what are these confusing
00:35:11
numbers mean all over my screen did he say that he said that right more or less I think he said basically like I don't
00:35:18
want to have to look through all these numbers and I would rather have the AI tell me what to do and it was like even
00:35:24
the temperature it take you longer to read the AI then to just glance at the numbers in their defense I did have an
00:35:31
apartment where the window went out onto a brick wall and you couldn't see the sky or the clouds or anything so I would
00:35:37
always check my weather app to see what it was but did the weather tell you to use an umbrella no then it's the exact
00:35:43
same thing still see those confusing numbers on your weather app you know that's true anyway I'm going to use it I
00:35:50
happen to be a weather app afficianado will this replace carrot no I mean
00:35:55
carrot is in an incredible weather app and it's also iOS only and it's also mean to you yeah Gemini won't curse it
00:36:01
it also has an AI built in but it doesn't tell you anything about the weather it just insults you so that's different and it probably didn't need
00:36:07
you to spend billions of dollars to uh train that model yeah but I'll dive in I'll see if the pixel weather app is any
00:36:12
good probably in too much detail sorry in advance um what else we got call notes so if you're on the phone and you
00:36:18
want to remember a bunch of things from this call or it's some really important call you can hit call notes it'll notify
00:36:24
everyone that it's recording and then it will just transcribe and summarize kind of like the recorder app would yeah
00:36:30
great I tested that at the demo event um it is very abrupt and Loud there's a
00:36:35
button that's like use call notes and it just immediately goes Google a Google assistant is recording this call just
00:36:41
very loudly which is better than not doing it yeah I mean if you tell the person I I think they learned that from
00:36:46
the whole Google duplex thing that happened way back with it calling and making reservations and depending on
00:36:52
where you are it would be illegal to record calls without consent from both parties so although would do it anyway
00:36:58
without needing to get consent you're just telling them I think well assuming
00:37:03
that they would hang up the phone then if they don't want to be yeah that's fair so there's that um there is also
00:37:09
the pixel Studio which is essentially an AI image generation tool exactly the way
00:37:15
you saw it in Apple's keynote same thing here remember how Apple made it what do they call it something else studio
00:37:21
studio it's a AI Studio playground Studio whatever uh it's just a AI image
00:37:27
generator it's all on device it's got a bunch of different built-in Styles you give it a text prompt it spits out an
00:37:32
image for you you can refine it you can adjust it add things add stickers add text have it make new whatever it exists
00:37:40
you can use it if you want I think they're trying to compete with canva on this one yeah cuz canva is like a
00:37:46
massively rapidly growing business and even Adobe is freaked out at canva and is trying to like compete with them and
00:37:53
canva now has a lot of these AI features that allow you to make greeting cards and stuff really
00:37:59
a great comparison cuz the way they demoed it made a little more sense than just like let's just make this thing for
00:38:05
fun there's was we're having a small get together let's make a like fun invite at the Golden Gate Bridge bonfire or
00:38:12
whatever and yeah but so canva is a that's a really good comparison yeah and also canva is like an insanely fast
00:38:18
growing plat so yeah the one that caught a lot of attention that I think is
00:38:24
either everything or nothing is called add me and it's a camera feature it's a mode that's built into the camera so you
00:38:30
swipe over from photos to Portrait to add me add me is for the situation where you are going to take a group photo but
00:38:38
you don't have an extra person who's not in the picture to take it for you I don't know you're on a hike or something
00:38:43
everyone's everyone's going to be in the picture you always have to leave someone out when you do a group photo and it's really sad right so tripod this is we
00:38:50
don't have a tripod we don't want to leave anyone out it's a built-in photo on the camera you stand back you take a picture of everyone except for you and
00:38:57
you leave a little space for you somewhere in the picture and then everyone leaves and someone holds the
00:39:04
camera and frames you walking in and standing in that last spot in the photo and it stitches them all together so now
00:39:10
you're in the photo add me has added you in I tried this once at the uh Hands-On
00:39:16
it actually worked it worked really well it looks awesome it's in a beautifully lit super bright environment I'm curious
00:39:23
in different environments how well this may or may not work but it did seem to Stitch me into the fake picture with you
00:39:29
and Brandon yeah it was kind of crazy because we were sort of more to the right where the light wasn't coming in as much and you stood closer to the
00:39:36
window where there was a lot more light and it seemed to match the lighting scenarios together really well um yeah
00:39:43
yeah I think it's one of those things that'll do like a C+ job where it's like better than asking someone who has no
00:39:49
idea how to edit images how to add them into the picture so it's just like oh it does it for you cool I mean the demo we
00:39:55
did felt like an A minus yeah I watched a bunch of other people's videos and there was a big range of results really
00:40:01
interesting yeah what what did you see was getting messed up uh Becca in her video for The Verge said it worked half
00:40:08
the time it also sometimes messes up cutouts so if your hand is like really
00:40:13
brightly lit against a bright background it just might like mess up the cutouts of like in between your fingers and things like thatting so it's it's try I
00:40:21
mean it's obviously just built into the camera like a convenient thing that's interesting and I want to test it more it seems like it's cutting out one of
00:40:27
the pictures rather than just like finding the seamline between where it would connect and almost like feather brushing that I don't know exactly how
00:40:34
it's doing it that's a good question that seems like the easier might be a combination of those things it might be cutting out the whole subject and like
00:40:39
Feathering everything it might be Feathering half of it it's a cool tool because it it shows this like floating
00:40:46
white frame the overlay was really cool which I think is the best part of it is what makes it relatively intuitive all
00:40:52
the person needs to know is hit the shutter button again but yeah it worked I also noticed that on the phones at the
00:40:58
event they put the adme feature just in the carousel at the bottom so you have camera video and adme is right to the
00:41:06
left yeah so they're like instead of putting in some hidden Sub menu of like hey here's a feature that you'll only
00:41:12
really use if you know that Google has cool AI camera features they have it right there so people who buy the pixel
00:41:18
are going to see that and think like what's that right alongside like night site and stuff like that right and it is a feature that everyone could really
00:41:24
take advantage of I could have used it this weekend we like I was up with some friends and we just
00:41:29
took a picture after playing disc golf and we were like propping it on some guy's bag with like another water bottle
00:41:35
then like timing it to 10 seconds and running over and trying to get the dogs in the picture also like I was like damn
00:41:40
this would have been perfect if one person could have just switched out this was something I was wondering about if you're just doing it with two people you
00:41:47
can do it two people you can do it with two people how close can you get to each other and like fake each other we're going to find out you can stand I saw
00:41:53
some examples you can stand behind them it will be harder to it will more fake cuz the cutouts will be more obvious I I
00:42:00
want to try this when Claire and I went to the tons we were like took this really long hike up to this beautiful
00:42:05
Lake it took forever and we asked this guy to take a picture of us and when I got back down I looked at it it's the
00:42:11
worst photo I've ever oh no this is the feature for everyone who's had that experience yeah it would be awesome if
00:42:17
we could have just taken both of them exactly a few months ago I was at Central Park and I had my camera with me
00:42:23
and uh a guy stopped me with his friend and was like hey you you look like a photographer could you take our photo
00:42:28
and I was like uh here we go and as soon as someone saw me taking his photo a queue started and I took the photos of
00:42:36
like seven groups of people because everyone kept seeing me taking a picture of them and we're like oh we should get
00:42:42
our photo and I was like what are you this is what I so you're saying if one of those people had a pixel 9 you would
00:42:48
have turned them down if all of them had a pixel 9 it would be like do it yourself as someone who missed the event
00:42:55
could I go around New York with a picture 9 taking pictures of just random people without their consent on the
00:43:01
street and then make a big family photo of like 30 people who have never met each other
00:43:07
before they all have to be in the same place oh you have people walk if I wait yeah if I wait at one section just yeah
00:43:14
I could make I could make the cutest family photo of people who literally have never met each other you want to do
00:43:20
one better you can have someone else hold the camera and you can multiply yourself yeah you can just make a bunch
00:43:26
of good it tries to stop you from doing it but it does mess up I'd like to see it I'm going to do it the multile done
00:43:33
it the random person one would be hard because like the point kind of is like when the next person grabs the photo
00:43:38
they can be like oh move over to the right a little bit or like she can frame them up cuz it shows this overlay of how
00:43:44
you've got to frame it up and where the people were before yeah so you wouldn't be able to tell people walking down the
00:43:49
street like oh can you move to your right a little bit or yeah but you you should try anyway I don't know I Adam just pulled up a picture of Julian from
00:43:56
wired that uh he's in it twice yeah it tries to stop you but jacket I saw that
00:44:03
one look like it did it no I think I think this might be a short I think this might be a how many of the same person
00:44:09
can we fit into one photo actually that's a really great segue because there is also magic editor which is
00:44:14
improved on these new phones and there are some extra things that it can do obviously it's well you already know
00:44:20
what magic editor could do it could do a bunch of like erasing things now it can also reframe based on photography
00:44:25
principles you can have it add more background or level the horizon or do whatever with generative field to
00:44:32
make your photo look more correct yeah um it can also reimagine though and I
00:44:39
played with this in my handson there are some things that it did do and some things that just decided it wouldn't do
00:44:44
but you can just select like a whole road that a car is on and highlight the whole thing and hit reimagine and just
00:44:51
type like raging River and it will just turn it into a river and it's a totally new scene that never existed that you
00:44:57
just reimagined it as and I also want to test that and see what I can get it to do we need to just take pictures around
00:45:05
the like dump area that we are in and make it look like beautiful mountains and wild beautiful yeah I'm going to do
00:45:12
that Sebastian with had a good Thread about this uh it says wow Mom I can't believe these photos my third birthday I
00:45:18
can't believe there were all these flowers and hot air balloons and then Mom oh no sweetie that was just something we added for no reason on our
00:45:25
pixel phones yeah these aren't photos anymore look
00:45:30
you did go to Disney World when you were three yeah look it's Mickey do these I
00:45:36
didn't even check are these watermarked as edited there aren't right I think it's probably Google's like invisible
00:45:41
Watermark thing oh man cuz like in a magic Editor Photo if I erase a photo bom bomber in the background and I save
00:45:46
it it's like boom new photo no watermark needed like I just got rid of somebody in the background yeah now it's pushing that even more I literally changed a
00:45:53
road into a lake and I added a hot air balloon behind me and I changed the person into a dog and it's Julian's add
00:45:59
me picture does not have a watermark yeah it also well interesting bro this
00:46:04
is picture of the teenager texting no Mom I swear I'm at John's house here's a picture of me at John's house oh no I
00:46:10
don't know every single year we keep saying what is a photo more and more and
00:46:16
at this point it's like it's our fault I mean this is definitely not a photo anymore no the reimagine part it's
00:46:24
it's just not a photo it's an image yeah but it's not not a photo I can get the like reframing and like adding a little
00:46:30
bit of generative fill on the outside that's just trying to copy what it is maybe this also didn't do a great job at
00:46:35
it there's like very obvious a big chunk in the corner of it that looks like every AI fill in there was a demo that
00:46:42
it on the pixel fold where they took this photo of this guy sitting on some grass uh blowing a bubble with some
00:46:50
chewing gum and they took it at an angle which was funny because they're in the middle of a field and the guy was like
00:46:56
if I only had more time to take this photo correctly it's like middle of a the bubble was about to pop I guess uh
00:47:04
so they used it to reframe it they added more sky added more grass and made it made the Horizon level which in my
00:47:10
opinion the first photo is cooler but whatever uh but the way that it filled in the extra information was like some
00:47:15
of the grass very much looks generated yeah fix shoes they could have had a
00:47:20
better example of this they did add information to the shoes cuz the shoes had gotten cut off but it changed the
00:47:25
design of the left shoe in the front part of it yeah but none of this matters cuz we're about to put a bunch of flowers over it that's true and then
00:47:32
they added a bunch of flowers to the grass because what is reality they really did they really did
00:47:39
and a hot air balloon so that's wait wait the hot not a great hot air the hot air balloon thing was really funny
00:47:45
because these were all live demos so he circles an area and he wanted to show how much screen he had so he zoomed in a
00:47:51
lot to circle the area for some reason and then he said hot air balloon and he's like cool it generated a number of
00:47:57
different options so let's go through the options the first one was really good the second one was like a potato
00:48:03
not a hot air it was not a hot air it was just some blob and he's like oh uh let's look at some other ones and he got
00:48:09
to the third one and it was clearly not as good as the first one but he couldn't go back to the first one cuz he didn't
00:48:14
want to go back past the blob again I love he was trying to just that was my favorite moment of the keynote honestly
00:48:20
hats off someone in his ear like do not scroll back do not scroll back hat up to Google for doing this all this live
00:48:27
although some of it definitely wasn't live because the generated thing in the
00:48:32
pixel Studio the image was the exact same image of the Golden Gate Bridge and
00:48:37
the fire and everything as the one in our demo units they those were pre maybe that's
00:48:43
just what it generates every time you have that prompt in that style but a diffusion model is not supposed to do that yeah I think they even said it in
00:48:49
the keynote that like this won't be the same I think that style parameter for
00:48:54
Google's like seven or eight Styles at the bottom are EXT extremely specific maybe I think maybe it looked exactly
00:49:00
the same though as the one in our demo but anyway so yeah so that's magic
00:49:06
editor that's another AI feature that's kind of it there's one more called the made you look it's not AI at all but it's a soft there's a couple other
00:49:11
there's a couple other ones there is what I miss screenshots was one that felt really stupid at first and I
00:49:17
actually think is one of the most useful out of all of them I can I just fell marz's trap he baited you into that he
00:49:23
baited me into that I thought the screenshot app so entally what it does is Pinterest every time you take a
00:49:29
screenshot it stores it in a separate folder that's labeled screenshots in separate app sorry well there's an app
00:49:36
new the when you take the screenshot you don't have to be in the app you just take it and then in the app has an AI
00:49:41
search feature so this is pretty much Microsoft recall except you take all of the screenshots instead of Microsoft
00:49:47
yeah so then through that all of your screenshots you can use a search feature that will search all the screenshots
00:49:52
you've taken and bring things up if you're looking for them and you also can organize them all in like different
00:49:58
folders so if you have like you know you just take screenshots for every time you want to maybe you see a gift you want to
00:50:03
buy for your mom or you're looking up bikes they said it puts it all in the same folder it's basically Alex said it
00:50:10
pinteresting your screenshot which is but Google photos didn't already do this so it did that's what is kind of strange
00:50:17
cuz Google photos already has a screenshots folder Google photos already identifies what's in the screenshot and
00:50:22
you can search through your Google photos to find it the main differentiator is that it just gives you a way to organize it and then the main
00:50:29
main differentiator because it's actually the main differentiator but I forgot until now is that it adds special
00:50:35
metadata to the screenshots that you don't get added otherwise so oh it adds a link so if you take a picture this is
00:50:42
only if you take a screenshot in Chrome or fortunately yeah they said that they going to have an open API that allows
00:50:48
you to integrate this I don't think anyone will because nobody cares about this but if you take a screenshot in
00:50:54
like Chrome on a Chrome page you when you go in the screenshots app and you find the thing you can jump
00:51:00
immediately back to the page that's cool see that's cool that's some that's some good oldfashioned pixel right there you
00:51:08
know what I'm talking about Med though which is interesting they could kind they could probably do that with without
00:51:14
AI with regular screenshots yeah my hot take is they could do all of this in Google photos yeah easily the
00:51:21
organization part is kind of cool it just is like a better UI of having it all there and then the searching through
00:51:26
is like live updating it all the searches coming up through pretty quickly I do it does feel like it should
00:51:32
just be in photos but I think the different types of like saved organization of it is kind of neat
00:51:38
there's also a good amount of things that I want to use this exact functionality for that aren't
00:51:44
screenshots that's like me taking a picture of an event invite or me taking a picture of a billboard and then I have
00:51:50
to take a screenshot of my picture for it to then show up in the screenshots app so it's just a little
00:51:57
I think that they want this mainly for shopping yeah they don't want you to do that where you take a picture of
00:52:03
something then screenshot the picture because that's useful that's what Google photos is for just another way for them to sell things can I say my conspiracy
00:52:10
theory for it they just the way no my thought is bad um this is just them being like
00:52:18
don't delete all your old screenshots you need more cloud storage now hold on to all of your photos on your
00:52:24
screenshots isn't enough which yeah but if you save if you saved all of your screenshots I don't delete my
00:52:29
screenshots I have a thing that deletes them after like 30 days when you go to the free up space part of Google photos
00:52:35
it suggests deleting fold yeah which it takes up a lot funny it's high
00:52:41
resolution it's a it's the same resolution as your screen are they using all my screenshots for training data yes
00:52:46
am I just making they were they've been doing that for years the funny thing is last night I had an instance in which
00:52:53
this would have been very useful um because I dance a lot at
00:52:58
weddings uh I ripped my suit I jumped up in the air did the splits my suit pants
00:53:04
ripped in half in the air in the air not Landing in the air in the air they
00:53:10
ripped in the air many people were there I need to know can we guess what song I don't remember was it Mr bright side
00:53:17
possibly there is no song that I can think of that would actually warrant someone definitely carp Jump Around okay
00:53:27
never mind you got well but jump around you're just hopping mostly fair that probably would be the worst one to do
00:53:32
jump up jump up and get down last one big jump I I I could picture you doing a mean air splits to Twist and Shout by
00:53:39
The Beatles too especially if it's like 11:45 p.m. you know it was about that
00:53:45
time all right all right so anyway it's context a friend of mine was
00:53:51
like we should get you a new suit but we should like look at options online cuz your last suit was a boring in color and
00:53:57
I was like okay so we're like looking through and they're like oh this is a cool one like can you save it and I was
00:54:05
like I guess I'll go on my computer and like make a folder and put the link in
00:54:11
the folder for suit shopping but I was thinking like wait this could be useful
00:54:16
in the screenshots app because it would bring me back because I we were just searching Google for different suits so I wasn't sticking to a certain brand so
00:54:24
being able to like look at the ones I liked and then jump to the page and know like what brand it was and like check
00:54:30
that would be useful but they again I still feel like they could just put this in regular screenshots you could there
00:54:36
though also save it in a suits folder so now every time you find one you like you have a screenshot suits can't say all
00:54:44
this at in in apple photos I could just search suit and it would pull up all my screenshots Goog phot Google photos
00:54:51
right but not with a link that's well this is why I'm saying just add the link metadata to Google photos
00:54:56
I just I don't know I'm with you on that they should just add this to Google photos yeah and maybe they will in a
00:55:02
year and they'll fire the 70 people who the screen yeah for sure they don't they don't even talk to the Google photos
00:55:07
team um I looked at my my iPhone history of all the screenshots I've ever taken in the history of my iPhone 1,625
00:55:14
screenshots not that not that much and one screenshot is four Megs so
00:55:20
like four gigs of screenshots there are definitely times where if I could just take my whole 12
00:55:26
mini right there D four gigs right there yeah so yeah the screenshots app is a
00:55:32
thing we'll try it we'll see if it works uh I will note that in our video I did attempt to search for lawnmower and it
00:55:38
didn't pull up the obvious screenshot of a lawn mower and that's because you need to process every screenshot first so
00:55:46
that it it enables the metadata and searching and then it will come up on device or into Cloud uh I think it's all
00:55:53
on device but you open the image in the scen s app and there's a little process Now button you hit process now then the
00:55:59
metadata will show up when you search it it indexes it on the spot I don't know why you have to do that I don't know if you get the phone and you have to decide
00:56:05
to process every screenshot you've ever taken or if there's a but I don't know how it's going to work but that happened in the video it really feels like we're
00:56:11
just Reinventing things that already worked pretty well like the photos app yeah yeah and a lot of things that
00:56:17
Gemini do because Gemini still doesn't have feature parody with Google Assistant even though you have to decide
00:56:22
what assistant app you want to use well that's a great segue to the last one which is Gemini Gemini Gemini has this
00:56:28
new thing called Gemini live that is just talking to it conversationally back
00:56:35
and forth and isn't Scarlet Johansson and it's yeah there's a bunch of different voices there's like seven or eight voices or something like that and
00:56:41
you obviously you can use Gemini just with asking a single prompt and then it answers and you hit the mic button again
00:56:47
and ask if something new and it answers in context is saved but with Gemini live it opens this whole new full screen UI
00:56:54
you start talking to it it starts replying and you can interrupt and ask it another question you can just have a
00:57:01
full-on conversation with it and then at the end you can just hit that close button and get a screenshot or a a
00:57:07
transcript a transcript of everything you just had this conversation about uh so it's just a
00:57:14
full-on built multimodal version of it which is I guess kind of cool I think
00:57:20
what's interesting is you can use it handsfree in the headphones which we haven't talked about yet but the new
00:57:25
pixel buds have this live this Gemini live feature sort of built in so you can just have a conversation and it looks
00:57:30
like you're on the phone with someone but you're just talking to your assistant which is even closer to this one movie I saw that way to beg you to
00:57:37
watch for months yeah anyway uh so yeah Gemini multimodal does some
00:57:43
stuff the live pretty much yep uh yeah we'll be I'm gonna I'm going to use it
00:57:49
I'm going to review it I'm going to see if it's good and they did have the multimodal stuff um that they that was
00:57:54
the first one that didn't work where they were trying to take they took a photo of a Sabrina Carpenter tour dates
00:58:00
and said check my calendar to see if I can make this and it failed twice yeah
00:58:05
not a great look um it was like something went wrong please try again later yeah and it C so it can work with
00:58:11
keep notes and app no keep task and calendar Jesus um uh that still exist it
00:58:20
also you can ask it fun questions like explain photosynthesis in a way a gamer can understand
00:58:28
yeah I I'm going to try that to I want to know what it says oh I already tried it what did it say so on stage they were
00:58:35
like they were like explain photosynthesis in the way that Gamers can understand so I asked it the same
00:58:41
question and it said think of photosynthesis like a plant's way of leveling up sunlight this is the plants
00:58:48
power up like collecting coins in a game chlorophyll it's the plant's special
00:58:53
ability like having a supercharged weapon that HS helps capture sunlight water and carbon dioxide these are the
00:59:00
basic building blocks like the raw materials you need to craft items in the game it's just doing like fortnite yeah
00:59:05
that's kind of fire references that's kind of fire okay that actually works Gamers can't afford
00:59:12
this you're a gamer it if you're a gamer you can probably not afford the $20 a month for Gemini advance but it would
00:59:18
have been way funnier if it was like Gamers don't know what sunlight is just ended right there so you know in defensive Gamers
00:59:27
they do also already have someone to talk to usually on the headset so why would they need this yeah when I can
00:59:33
just ask the random stranger on the internet that I'm playing the game with hey can you describe photosynthesis to me and he'll just tell me to like
00:59:40
uninstall the game so you should ask him what the weather is outside you should put a sun coat on
00:59:47
yeah what's a sun coat no that's a thing it's called a sun jacket yeah okay good
00:59:53
so yeah that's pretty much it we've got all these AI features now coming to the pixel 99's a lot of them are just coming
00:59:59
to the pixel 99's and I don't know yeah for now exactly we don't know when they're going to start showing up in the
01:00:04
other phones but we will test those of course as well for the full review I'm going to leave a challenge for you guys in the comment section below which one
01:00:11
do you think you would actually use f do you think you would actually use any of them the AI features fold would you use
01:00:18
the AI weather app would you use ad me in the camera do you actually think
01:00:24
you're going to use it I would I would encourage leave a comment specifically on that cuz I'm super curious um call
01:00:30
screening yeah I would use so many of these call screen I hope they come to the Galaxy s24 they will which one do
01:00:37
you screenshots add me the weather app screenshot yeah okay I'm I don't think
01:00:43
I'm gonna use big screenshot guy I'm gonna use it for the review and then I'm gonna forget about it hello and welcome
01:00:49
to Samsung Galaxy I mean Google made by Google pixel event that was also something really funny during the event
01:00:56
she's like Gemini is multimodal I'm watching this YouTube video from one of my favorite creators and I wanted to and
01:01:02
just on the screen is her not subscribed to the Creator she wasn't subscribed was the first thing we noticed unlike the
01:01:09
Gemini lady you should subscribe agre right now right now and wherever
01:01:15
you listen to your favorite podcasts anywhere you get your podcasts anywhere powerful phrase trivia activity Pub wait
01:01:24
was that the CTA yeah that ruled that was awesome D sa that one but like I
01:01:30
guess that works okay cool sure I have in front of me four Google project code
01:01:38
names actually some of them are official project names and not code names but some of them are Coden names and either way three of them are real and one of
01:01:45
them I made up and I think we're going to wait until the end of the show so if you want to hear my
01:01:51
hilarious fake project ruminate on them well should should we ruminate I thought it'd be cool to build suspense but I'm
01:01:58
getting a okay I'll read them I'll read read us the fake next time we do this we should have Gemini develop the names
01:02:03
just to show that you're way better than Gemini at this because every time you do it I get it wrong this is's do now I'm
01:02:12
all now I'm all a blushing guys uh all right yeah the first one is Google
01:02:17
Sycamore Sycamore like the tree Google sicko mode the second one the second one
01:02:25
is project banki named after chairman of the Federal Reserve Ben
01:02:32
banki the third one is Project blueberry project blueberry Google
01:02:38
blueberry is it real and finally D sidewalk Labs sidewalk Labs a lab of
01:02:47
concrete on the side of the street remember Project Butter what could it be Project Butter that is a
01:02:53
real one OG one yeah was so hyped about it it was like Smooth animations it was
01:02:58
to stop like yeah stop stuttering it didn't work it I thought it worked pretty well I was really
01:03:05
disappointed I was more impressed with project but than I was at Deep Fusion or whatever the heck Apple added I thought
01:03:12
they did about the same amount of difference anyway okay yeah this is good we'll think about those everyone else
01:03:17
will think about those we'll have a quick break we'll come back we'll talk gadgets
01:03:22
[Music]
01:03:33
support for waveform comes from eight sleep how many huge game-changing sleep inventions can you think of I mean
01:03:39
there's a pillow the blanket the bed and that's kind of where the Innovation ends we're sleeping the same way our
01:03:45
grandparents were until now if you're looking at combining all night comfort with gamechanging Innovation the Pod 4
01:03:50
ultra might be your best bet pod 4 ultra can improve your sleep dramatically by automatically cooling down or warming up
01:03:56
both sides of your bed throughout the night you can add the Pod to your existing mattress like a fitted sheet
01:04:02
and insulation is super simple it also includes an adjustable base that actually elevates your mattress to the
01:04:07
most comfortable sleeping position it can even detect snoring and automatically adjust to lift your head by a few degrees to improve air flow and
01:04:14
Sleep Quality all right do you want to know what my favorite thing about the eight sleep pot is what I love using a
01:04:19
blanket but when it's 90° outside blankets kind of suck so being able to cool the mattress down and still be
01:04:25
comfortable with a blanket at the same time is like Perfection super same so you can visit 8sleep.com
01:04:31
for and use code wave to get $350 off a pod 4 ultra that's EIG HTS sleep.com
01:04:39
waveform and use code wve support for waveform comes from Oracle AI might be
01:04:44
the most important new computer technology ever it's storming every industry and literally billions of dollars are being invested so buckle up
01:04:50
the problem is that AI needs a lot of speed and processing power so how do you compete without cost spiraling out of
01:04:57
control it's time to upgrade to the next generation of the cloud Oracle Cloud infrastructure or oci oci is a single
01:05:04
platform for infrastructure database application development and AI needs oci
01:05:09
has four to eight times the bandwidth of other clouds offers one consistent price instead of variable Regional pricing and
01:05:15
of course nobody does data better than Oracle so now you can train your AI models at twice the speed and less than
01:05:20
half the cost of the other clouds so if you want to do more and spend less like uber a by8 and datab Bricks Mosaic take
01:05:27
a free test drive of oci at oracle.com form that's oracle.com slwa form
01:05:34
oracle.com form all right welcome back we got our last little section here because Google didn't only announce
01:05:39
phones believe it or not there was a couple other gadgets one of them was watches one of them was earbuds which
01:05:48
should we do first the watch buds okay wait what remember that product the
01:05:54
watch buds yeah the the hu watchs that was both in one yeah yeah dang that was
01:06:00
sick good throwback except that they sounded awful they were rough the battery was tough too yeah any but no
01:06:07
seriously there's two there's two new products they made the Galaxy watch 3
01:06:12
and they pixel the pixel watch 3 they could have cuz they're the same God darn
01:06:18
company at my brain okay they made the pixel watch 3 which is like two watches this time and they made the pixel buds
01:06:25
Pro two as well let's start with the watch okay all right thank you thank you somebody make a decision okay wait you
01:06:32
said buds watch we said watch okay so there's two new there's one new size there's a 45mm size but the design of
01:06:39
the pixel watch is largely same the same with slightly thinner bezels of course
01:06:44
the UI still Fades into those bezels but you've got that like seamless Pebble look it's the thing that we know the
01:06:50
pixel watch to look like it's but now the small one which we've had for a while 41 mm is paired with a big one 45
01:06:58
mm that means the big one I don't actually know if it has longer battery does it have bigger battery I think they
01:07:03
very specifically said 35% larger battery larger battery makes it
01:07:08
feel so probably similar battery okay fair um but also a new dual chip architecture which could make a battery
01:07:14
life difference so we'll see yeah um then there's this new thing that I guess we're all copying Garmin now and they do
01:07:21
this like energy score no that's Samsung body no that's Garmin that's I'm just saying from the're stealing
01:07:28
exactly they're stealing a b it's Readiness score I think that's it's called so at the beginning of every day you have a whole list of factors that
01:07:33
all contribute to your Readiness score which is probably a number from Z to 100 that tells you how you're doing for the
01:07:38
day um there's some new running features there's also improved uh measurement of
01:07:44
heart rate during running which they talked about being a very difficult thing to do so hopefully it's more
01:07:50
accurate while you're running around and also measurement of heart rate while you're dead as well oh right yeah yeah
01:07:56
yeah well that's the one AI thing and I don't know how it's AI so please explain to me if you know but apparently there's
01:08:02
a thing called loss of pulse events where if the watch detects one it gives
01:08:10
you a prompt on the screen and if you don't answer it will contact emergency services I always assumed a loss of
01:08:16
pulse event was like a permanent thing but apparently you can have a a semi-permanent loss of pulse event and
01:08:23
then it will contact services that can bring you back to life and that would be great so that's a thing that they can do how is it AI I don't know I figured it
01:08:30
was just seeing your pulse every second you know Mar CU I put my pants on one leg at a time like everyone else but I'm going to go ahead and assume that
01:08:36
they've painstakingly trained this on a model of all the stuff in alive guy does
01:08:41
like like breathing and and moving and and and pulsing having heat having heat
01:08:48
so when you take all those complex data points and you you move them through the diffusion model back and forth
01:08:54
eventually you have this perfect picture of an alive guy right right right or
01:08:59
girl yeah and then if they have a loss of pulse then the models like this
01:09:05
doesn't check out this doesn't yeah so my question to the audience a noral I
01:09:10
feel really I feel really dumb because I feel like we must be missing something
01:09:16
here because the pixel Watch 2 specifically was updated to track your pulse every second your heart rate which
01:09:25
p right so it was the big features that it tracks it once a second yeah I would
01:09:30
figure that a loss of pulse detection would just be knowing it's still on your wrist but feeling no pulse they made it
01:09:37
seem like a big AI thing it's a good feature that it's they should everyone
01:09:45
should have and should have had seemingly a long time ago but if I'm wrong and this is actually really
01:09:50
complicated I would like to know how and why um marketing
01:09:56
probably they brought a doctor on and he was like a loss of pulse detection happens when your heart stops beating
01:10:02
and I was like yeah that's what I thought I really kind of figured that I figured all the other sensors stay the
01:10:08
same and one of them's like oop no more pulse if that's AI then that's AI I
01:10:14
don't know Gemini explain yeah we're not we're not uh what thinking this is a bad idea like this is a great idea because
01:10:20
if a situation like that happens with no one around being able to call Emergency Services could literally be lifesaving
01:10:26
yeah we just don't know what the AI is overall the watch is pretty similar to
01:10:31
the last ones uh I think a lot of people are asking for a bigger one because the pixel watch I mean there is no Ultra so
01:10:37
I'm glad there's a bigger one it's bigger it's larger on your wrist it's a bigger screen it's just more information
01:10:43
you can see like the feed from your nest doorbell now if you get photos with it
01:10:49
which I kind of assumed it could do already but I guess it couldn't or maybe it could but 360 could that just saying
01:10:56
I remember that yeah but this is all better now with a bigger screen so if you do that type of stuff often you probably want to get the bigger one uh
01:11:03
yeah that's about it same pricz variable refresh rate oh is that not what it was before brighter screen I'm not sure
01:11:09
brighter screen correct it's like TW 1 2K I think yeah 2,000 nits 2,000 nits yeah sorry but yes variable refresh up
01:11:16
to 60 HZ same prices 349 for the small one 3.99 for the big one starting Wi-Fi
01:11:22
yeah I think it was like 450 $4.99 for the LTE versions sounds about right yeah
01:11:29
you know what's crazy that Google should be marketing but they don't so if you have Google fi Google fi allows you to
01:11:37
add eims to like to data only Sims to like anything you want MH and it's free
01:11:43
which is a cool thing except Apple watches except Apple watches well because it's not eims it's data only
01:11:48
physical Sims to like other things if you have a pixel watch and you're on Google F they don't charge you anything
01:11:55
extra to put data on your watch oh that's pretty much every other carrier
01:12:01
charges you an extra like five to $10 to have service on your watch yeah and Google doesn't charge you at all and
01:12:07
they don't Market that at all sounds like an oversight is it because Google knows it's a Google watch is that just
01:12:12
the Google watch that they do that well most watches don't support googley oh so
01:12:17
this is the one that does support googley and it's a Google product so they know it yeah but they didn't Mar
01:12:23
they didn't Market Samsung watches but not Apple watches oh it works with Samsung watches is anybody excited about
01:12:28
the watch there I don't know but there are new like there's like a new Fitbit run like
01:12:36
feature there's some new Fitbit features the running thing is weird but interesting the kind of interesting
01:12:41
thing about the running that I do like is that when you you so you build your
01:12:46
own running plans with it um which it has some suggested like runs but not
01:12:53
that many but you can like build it out very very tailored to how you want to do it if you want to stay at a certain
01:12:58
speed or stay in a certain heart rate zone and the watch will tell you both
01:13:03
with vibrations and verbally you need to speed up you need to slow down that kind of stuff I don't run so I don't know any
01:13:10
of this nor have tested any of them I mean Garmin does this Garmin does this yeah yeah everyone's trying to compete
01:13:16
with Garmin Garmin owns they know they know where it's at that's basically it for
01:13:22
the watch they're not would not be surprised if Apple did that though Apple watch did that they're not yet giving
01:13:27
them away for free like they did with the first one so the first one if you bought a pixel 6 you would get a pixel
01:13:34
watch with it for free or sorry pixel 7 yeah I'm curious what the AI training
01:13:39
thing with the watch if it adjust as you go like if it detects your heart rate and your Cadence and all that stuff and
01:13:47
when your last workout was how hard it was perceived effort all that stuff and adjust the rest of the plan moving forward to to like have that in
01:13:55
in mind yeah because I don't know right now it's like you pick a plan on all these apps and it just kind of stays the same it might like drop a run or two if
01:14:03
you're really missing out like Garmin will be like it looks like you're not working out so we're just going to like stop this for a bit but if you could
01:14:08
just like pick up and it knows when the last time you worked out was and adjust as it goes that would be cool yeah I
01:14:15
have found that as someone with a higher than average resting heart
01:14:21
rate uh the apps like straa automatically account for that without me need to putting in but apple is like
01:14:27
dude you're going to die like there's no way this is healthy damn yeah I want to
01:14:33
test out the running features when we actually get the units in so I liked the pixel watch when I used
01:14:38
it a long time ago but fiit app is I hate I still hate that that's the like
01:14:44
Google Health it's not Google Health that the fiit app Google Fit they kind of like deprecated sort of and then they
01:14:52
have Google Now it's called Google Fitbit jeez I know it's kind of a mess it's on
01:14:57
the same level as assistant Gemini kind of yeah confused yeah uh okay and then
01:15:03
we have the buds which actually seem like a fairly major upgrade just in design um the original pixel buds Pro
01:15:09
one were good but they were very bulgy they're very thick these ones they've
01:15:15
slimmed down quite a bit uh they added some wing tips to it love that and apparently they're using AI again to
01:15:24
have twice as good noise cancellation which was the same uh quote that Apple
01:15:29
said when they announced the second generation but uh Apple airpods Pro can
01:15:37
I quick yeah sorry they're calling them Wing fins yes I do think these look a
01:15:42
little different than a wing tip which would be like pointing out quite a bit and going into the upper part of your ear this just looks like an extra point
01:15:48
that would solidify in the bottom the interesting part about these so for those that don't know what they look
01:15:53
like they're pretty small but they have these like I would say it's a small fin that comes off the back and the way they
01:16:00
described them in the event was you don't need to twist it in your ear if you're just casually listening and
01:16:05
casually walking but when you start doing something intense where you're moving your head around a lot if you
01:16:10
twist it it will secure it more they sport sport mode sport mode for your
01:16:16
Crocs and they basically made it sound like it's more comfortable if you don't twist it but it's more secure if you do
01:16:22
interesting um which is interesting and and they sound pretty good they have new
01:16:28
tensor A1 chip in there which is apparently going to help with the faster noise cancellation which will help with
01:16:33
transparency mode that will help with battery life yeah and also there's a speaker in the case which can make a
01:16:38
noise if you lose them oh right and then find them with the fine my network which is nice which is nice and then same
01:16:45
price $2.99 and also ip54 sweat resistant yeah no Precision
01:16:51
finding this time yeah um but that's okay but yeah so that's that's them they look
01:16:58
I don't know I'm really I'm interested pixel they they look good I've always thought pixel buds looked good just
01:17:04
never used them for some reason and now like we said earlier they're kind of like Gemini live Buds and that's the
01:17:10
same time you yeah you can use Gemini live and just like have a whole conversation without without even taking
01:17:17
your phone out of your pocket that was a rough live demo also yeah he basically was like Hey Gemini I'm nervous to be on
01:17:23
the stage what could make me less nervous oh there's this guy out there that I really like it's like okay I got
01:17:29
this hey Mark Rober and then they just like Sydney sweene need Mark Rober from the the Galaxy Event he just sat there
01:17:37
and he's like yeah and then it came back that's it for the gadgets wait I want to say something about the buds H us uh I'm
01:17:42
excited to listen to them I haven't listened to them yet they have 11 mm drivers that's cool uh there's one thing
01:17:48
on the product site that I really you know might have been cuz I slept on a plane and there's something I don't get
01:17:53
but they claim this new tensor A1 chip the the sort of H2 analog that they're
01:17:59
putting in this is 90 times faster than the speed of sound which is confusing
01:18:05
because the speed of sound yeah that doesn't make any sense at all 90 the speed of sound is me is a meters per
01:18:12
second it's like 343 343 m per second 343 me per second remember that from physics and uh and the speed of a
01:18:19
processor is a rate yeah um specifically cycles per second so ifs explain that
01:18:26
one to me I'm assuming it just means that it's it broke physics times faster
01:18:32
than the number of meters what sorry no right like it does
01:18:37
a thing in one second that many times faster than the
01:18:43
distance that sound would travel Ellis I see where you're confused I understand what you're saying a meter is like a
01:18:48
yard in our bro but what is it in Cheesecake Factory menus six
01:18:55
Adam thinks they're they're they're converting meters to the to the wavelength which also doesn't make any
01:19:01
sense or they're using wa but I think that they're comparing meter like meters per to
01:19:07
processes the exact line I'm reading 90 processes per meter yeah let let me hear it the exact line I'm reading from 9 to5
01:19:13
Google is that each earbud features an 11 mm driver and customdesign tensor A1
01:19:19
ship that processes audio 90 times faster than the speed of sound I what
01:19:25
does that mean I am reading almost an identical sentence on store. google.com faster processes audio faster than the
01:19:32
speed if you are a Google marketing executive and happen to write this line of copy what if Gemini wrote this what
01:19:39
if that's why it makes no sense maybe that's possible I think that they're trying to make the analogy to how
01:19:45
airpods Pro like sample so quickly that when the sound hits you it can like L
01:19:52
compress it and like lower it before it hits your ear they they're just being cheeky they're just being like you know it's it's sound they're headphones we
01:19:58
should make some sound stuff but my guess is they're just comparing samples per second to meters per second and
01:20:05
pretending that you can measure them the same way anyway yeah that's that's basically it for the bus I think that's
01:20:11
basically it that's basically it I'm I'm curious to try them again cuz again we had like two hours total to shoot and
01:20:19
try everything so you saw the video go watch it on the main channel that is all of my Impressions formulated from the
01:20:24
two hours I spent with them yeah many more thoughts will be coming to the way for them obviously soon and of course the full reviews should be in the works
01:20:31
by the time you're hearing this so one other random thing fold is coming out later oh right there are some staggered
01:20:38
they didn't even say this to us but there are staggered release dates so it's pixel 9 and pixel 9 Pro XL first
01:20:45
then pixel 9 Pro a little bit later yeah and then pixel
01:20:51
fold later again like a couple week lat like September later so that's also a
01:20:57
thing yeah it's so funny that Rick opened it with being like all the software we're going to show you is all
01:21:02
here now and not coming later but the devices yeah so I I mean I guess the
01:21:07
ones that are coming out right away are most analogous to what they normally have which is a regular pixel and a big Pro pixel so that's and that's what
01:21:14
people generally buy too the cheapest one or the biggest best one sure so anyway that's all out let us know what
01:21:20
you think let us know what you would actually use and let us know trivia
01:21:28
wow anyway trivia dude anyway okay okay any so quick update on the score you
01:21:35
have a board yeah I do Marquez with 16 Andrew in the lead with 17 Carrie
01:21:43
that did you see Carrie the one was trending on Twitter the other day was like how' you get this yeah that was all
01:21:50
us Dam and David with 16 okay first
01:21:55
question at the made by Google event in 2017 there was a hardware device
01:22:01
manufactured by a company called gorte what product was
01:22:07
it I remember the name of this company like very deeply drop cam don't know
01:22:13
what they made Google Duo chomecast
01:22:20
oh still hurts too soon fitar yoga
01:22:25
fit star yoga measure damn zinc
01:22:30
reader car flip them and read what do you got the original pixel buds
01:22:39
one correct Andrew what did you say a tile Marquez I wrote Google home mini
01:22:46
nope the original pixel buds one not the true Wireless ones the the ones with the
01:22:51
wire correct oh I like those those are so those were they were advertised as
01:22:57
the first live translation Buds and they did not do that Google has been trying
01:23:02
to do translation in earbuds as a thing for like seven years in a row well now I
01:23:07
can do 90 translations faster than the speed of sound 90 translations per
01:23:14
meter question number two which of the following is not the name or code name
01:23:22
of a real Google product again some of these are official names some of these are internal code
01:23:28
names a Google Sycamore like the tree B
01:23:34
project banki like former chair of the Federal Reserve Ben banki C project
01:23:42
blueberry like a blueberry or D sidewalk labs
01:23:52
[Music] what do we have I thought sidewalk Labs was an Amazon
01:24:01
thing well it's still not a Google thing no it's not an Amazon thing it's not an
01:24:07
Amazon thing it is a Google thing so now we know it's not maybe Amazon partnered with them anyway anyway D I wrote banki
01:24:13
nope project Bernan is real well Marquez also I wrote Blueberry Blueberry is fake
01:24:20
I made it up Andrew back in the lead wow it feels like having a project related
01:24:25
to the Federal Reserve doesn't make sense for a monopoly well it's funny that you say that because project banki
01:24:32
was only made public during all the antitrust stuff because it was
01:24:39
illegal that's they named it after a chairman of the Federal Reserve because it was an illegal process I like look I
01:24:46
have I have slept on a plane brain I'm not going to get into exactly what this was Google Google Google Google project
01:24:54
banki G Pro uh maybe illegal isn't the right word maybe more
01:25:00
like legally fun Amazon sidewalk is a thing but it's not sidewalk Labs yes
01:25:06
sidewalk Labs is Google's like Smart City subsidiary I don't know if it's still doing stuff and Google Sycamore is
01:25:12
the name of their Flagship Quantum processor subsidiary what was a again I
01:25:18
do remember Sycamore I do remember Sycamore yeah Sycamore was the one where they were like this is the craziest quantum computer ever invented and then
01:25:25
IBM was like you're lying and they never got to the bottom of it yeah true
01:25:30
perfect yeah cuz I think soon Pai like walked around it and was like look at this and it was like the intro of a of a
01:25:37
um Io Io and it they claimed they did this process that would take a normal
01:25:43
computer 10,000 years and they did it in in like a few days but then IBM came out
01:25:50
and said we did this on a normal computer in two and a half days so get good it was a Chromebook it was a
01:25:58
it's a Quantum state of whether or not they're lying or not yeah exactly how many cubits does it take to show if I
01:26:04
care or not yeah anyway thanks for watching thanks for listening thanks for subscribing of course cuz I know you
01:26:10
went down and hit that button and of course for leaving us ratings on whatever podcast app you listen to that has ratings for some reason sometimes
01:26:16
it's Stars sometimes it's like thumbs up or thumbs down usually it's Stars thanks for thanks for reviewing our podcast we
01:26:22
appreciate that as well catch you guys next week peace waveform was produced by Adam Alina and Ellis Ren we're partnered with
01:26:27
VOX media podcast Network and our inal music was created by vain Sil big go another week and another I don't know
01:26:33
why when I said that I thought the I thought the Latin music was going to come on at the
01:26:55
wh hip hop radio no wh what is oh because they beep when they're too close
01:27:01
to other cars but they have a storage lot where they keep a ton of Whos and they just all keep peeping at each
01:27:08
other I love that
