00:02:58
[Music] [Music] it's been over 16 years gone by since The Disappearance of 24-year-old Kyle
00:03:24
Flashman he went missing Friday morning November 9th in the last time that we have confirmation that Kyle is Alive and
00:03:33
Well is when he is seen on security camera TV outside of the Buckhead Saloon in uptown Charlotte he's leaving he
00:03:42
appears to be leaving this is at 2:20 a.m. and we now know that he left his debit card and jacket behind at the bar
00:03:52
as we said in part one this is when all of the mysterious stuff everything in question starts to take place right at
00:04:01
this 2:20 a.m. mark one thing we did discuss in part one is this verbal what I've seen described
00:04:12
as a mild verbal altercation between Kyle while he's at the bar and a male or two or possibly three that were not
00:04:25
happy with him dancing with a female briefly at the book are what we do know about those persons and we said that we
00:04:34
belied that it is four people that were all involved in this mild verbal altercation as it's described we believe
00:04:43
it's four people because there is a report out there that says that police have interviewed those four
00:04:51
people and we don't know the details of what went on that night between them we don't know the details of the questions
00:05:01
that police asked these individuals but the report is that they've been interviewed and they don't
00:05:10
seem to be persons of great interest to law enforcement regarding Kyle's disappearance but what I will say here
00:05:18
Captain is preach I can't say that they had anything to do with what happened to
00:05:24
Kyle his family says they believe he was murdered his friends say they believe that he was killed that night that
00:05:31
somebody is responsible for killing him right they know much more about this case than we know and if that's what
00:05:38
they are willing to tell the public that seems to me unfortunate as it is the most likely
00:05:46
possibility so now we have to if we're going to go down that road and we're going to believe his family and his
00:05:53
friends and his dad his dad is very vocal about this he says look I I wish that the Charlotte mecklinburg Police
00:06:04
Department would be more forthcoming with information to me their response is when we get something new we do inform
00:06:10
the family so maybe it's as simple as they've not gotten anything new but his dad says they've not shared a lot of
00:06:18
information with us he's not convinced that they took this thing very seriously for the first couple of weeks we do know
00:06:25
that the family took it seriously right from Jump Street because they hire a private investigator they get can9
00:06:31
search dogs involved they have volunteers that are searching for Kyle volunteers handing out missing persons
00:06:37
Flyers right out the gate a lot of this stuff the the family had to pay for they paid for a lot of
00:06:45
this out of their own pocket so they jump into action right away dad says tells the media several
00:06:52
times they've not they've not been very forthcoming it does appear that there has been a good amount of work behind
00:07:00
the scenes on Kyle's Case by the police department but one thing his dad says is
00:07:05
at some point it was homicide investigators that were investigating Kyle's case so his dad says something
00:07:12
made it go from a missing person's investigation to a homicide investigation to a homicide
00:07:18
investigation it makes no sense to me why law enforcement wouldn't explain that better to the family yes yes and
00:07:25
and again I we we we could sit here and spin our tires all day and night on on why that has been what it is we we just
00:07:32
don't know like unfortunately like the family we don't know that now for me I want to go down that road as for
00:07:39
unfortunate as it is I want to go down that road because to be honest with you Captain when I first started looking
00:07:44
into this I'm like this is one of those weird scenarios where this young man may
00:07:50
have just been freezing his ass off he's drunk he's tired look it happens people
00:07:57
crawl into a place and decide to take a nap or crawl into a place hoping to get warm
00:08:03
MH and succumb to the elements I really thought that's what we were probably looking at here I couldn't
00:08:09
I I couldn't move past the idea that he had left his jacket there and I'm seeing
00:08:14
reports that it would have been 30 32 degrees at that time yeah my problem with that theory though is it's not a
00:08:21
rural area and so there'd be plenty of places where he could go into right right there there
00:08:30
was a the one part place of concern was there was a heavy construction project going on in the in
00:08:39
an area that was in walking distance to where he was last seen so there's been some concern
00:08:46
that you know did he did he expire there and nobody is responsible for his death
00:08:52
and and somehow he got got lost in the Lost in the construction yeah it wasn't didn't they have cadaver dogs go to that
00:09:01
site yeah they so they had search and rescue dogs that were brought in again they were brought in by the family and
00:09:10
they took them to this area that those dogs also went to a nearby park what I'm saying to you and everybody else out
00:09:17
there in listener land it was only after hearing the family and friends and then
00:09:23
police as well say we don't think he had any reason to walk away reading their words listen to their words dad
00:09:32
Uncle best friend yeah very quickly convinced me if they're all saying murder that's what it's got to be so
00:09:42
that's where I'm at now with looking at this case and if if going down that road it seems to me like
00:09:50
we only have a few a handful of possibilities that something happened some something directly related to one of
00:09:59
these locations has everything to do with his murder could be the bar we know he was there could be fuel Pizza a lot
00:10:06
of people have a lot of speculation and suspicions about fuel Pizza there was the park that
00:10:14
we mentioned with the search and rescue dogs can we dive more into the speculation on the pizza shop I mean
00:10:22
what what would the motive be well so what is also a little bit fast fascinating about this
00:10:31
case is if you're going to say that it was somebody that he may have had some brief interaction with or a random
00:10:39
person MH that attempted to do something to Kyle and it ends in Murder the interesting part to me is the time frame
00:10:47
that we're talking about here because what do we know that's happening all at the same time right around the the same
00:10:55
time that Kyle is last seen at 2:20 a.m. we know that all of those bars are closing yeah the pizza shop is closing
00:11:03
at 2:30 so right at 2:30 what you have then going on in those streets at the time when this kid goes missing is you
00:11:12
have the streets are filled with people that were either in those establishments
00:11:16
as patrons or were working in those establishments all leaving and moving about in this area all at the same time
00:11:25
between 2:20 a.m. and 4 a.m. when his phone no longer is working or on or or what have you right so the speculation
00:11:34
with the fuel Pizza Kyle's family says look we we don't know how much weight the investigators law
00:11:43
enforcement investigators put into looking at this pizza place and the surrounding businesses of that Buckhead
00:11:50
Saloon of course police investigators are not may not be of the type to tell them but we do know that their private
00:12:00
investigator says that that's where I would have started I would have I would have you canvas the area you go there
00:12:06
and you check with all the surrounding businesses well now you find out that he he may have gone into this pizza place
00:12:13
he may have ordered some pizza according to one employee he did yeah and that's backed up because the order seems like
00:12:20
something Kyle would have ordered at least to Kyle's father correct private investigator runs background checks on
00:12:26
the individuals that were working there that night as well as persons that they he says Associates of but I'm guessing
00:12:35
he would have had to have known the associates and what would be the easiest thing to know them by is anybody that
00:12:41
has a long-term relationship be it a a roommate a girlfriend boyfriend somebody that is easy to determine from an
00:12:48
outsider that this is an associate of this person so he runs background checks on a lot of these individuals and what
00:12:57
he is seeing is some of them have police records some of them have have violence
00:13:04
A History of Violence weapons charges uh assaults things of that nature and so one piece
00:13:12
of speculation regarding fuel Pizza is did somebody from the pizza shop that night see an
00:13:22
opportunity Kyle's inebriated maybe he's got some cash on him he looks he's looks
00:13:28
like a young professional did they see an opportunity to to Rob him or take things off of him I was looking to see
00:13:37
you know was was he the type to wear jewelry it doesn't appear that that he was you know some people uh wear
00:13:43
expensive watches and what have you to me if if somebody said what does Kyle look like I'd say you know Andy dwire
00:13:52
from Parkson wreck that's funny that's I was thinking Andy DWI as well and the thin version of Andy
00:14:01
DWI not the chubby lovable Andy dwire the one of the things that the private investigator figured out as well is that
00:14:11
one at least one or more of the individuals that worked at fuel Pizza lived in the direction of where the dogs
00:14:19
took them well that's fishy fish sticks when the dogs were we have to guess that
00:14:23
they were following yeah Kyle sent again they can't they can't talk so that complicates things yeah it always
00:14:32
surprises me that the police use nonverbal dogs instead of verbal dogs he says that he finds that to be very
00:14:38
interesting and there there have been individuals that have interviewed some of these people and don't think that
00:14:45
some of these guys are on the up and up the father his father said something that I I found rather intriguing K's
00:14:53
father dick says look a couple of these guys they they're repeat offenders they they they have a rapture sheet mhm but
00:15:01
after my son goes missing all of a sudden they're not such bad guys they don't they don't get in trouble for
00:15:06
anything he said that that somebody explained to him that that doesn't seem to fit their pattern of their behavior
00:15:13
for their life and their lifestyle so what great thing changed for them to change who they are or at
00:15:21
least how they operate and live their lives yeah seems like we're grasping at straws what we do know too Captain is
00:15:29
this is from law enforcement now we don't know who the individual is but it looks like at some
00:15:37
point a homicide investigator traveled to talk to somebody that is somehow connected to
00:15:47
fuel Pizza that at the time of the interview was living in prison and interviewed
00:15:54
that individual about Kyle being missing that seems like to me if that detective
00:16:01
traveled look these departments they they they run on a budget MH just like every other business out there they
00:16:10
don't have a lot of these departments do not have money to burn so if it cost labor hours and travel expenses for this
00:16:21
homicide detective some Reports say two homicide detectives to go to a a prison to travel out of the area and go to a
00:16:28
prison to interview this person there must have been some you got to prove to the boss look there's there's enough
00:16:34
meat on the bone here that we need to talk to that we need to sit down and officially interview this
00:16:40
individual you have to justify the cost and the hour spent to do so there had to
00:16:46
be something there this to me that seems like a little more than a hunch right you go and knock on a door with a hunch
00:16:54
you get permission from the boss to travel and use the Department's money to interview somebody that that you can't
00:17:00
just go and knock on their door okay answer me this ridle me this Batman we have footage of him in the bar
00:17:09
we have him we have footage of him heading to the pizza shop do we have footage of him inside the pizza shop and
00:17:18
do we have footage of him leaving the pizza shop well that's the thing that it we have footage of him walking in the
00:17:25
direction of the pizza shop the the problem then becomes we can't 100% put him in the pizza shop
00:17:32
other than the person that worked there saying yeah I saw Kyle come in that night around this time right before
00:17:38
closing right and remember one of those reports is saying is that is an individual saying I saw him come in but
00:17:45
I I don't recall seeing him leave so let's go through this this pizza shop just a little bit more so what we do
00:17:52
know about the pizza shop is that they would have been closing shortly after it's believed that Kyle was there inside
00:18:00
the shop yeah this is making me hungry we do know that he places approximately nine calls from his cellular phone
00:18:09
between 219 when he first attempts to call his sister from the bar to 329 a.m. mhm now if we are to believe
00:18:19
those experts those law enforcement people that say look this activity on his phone we think that he's he might
00:18:26
potentially be in a high distress level at this point then we have to believe that that that high dist that high
00:18:34
distress level starts happening at this would all be shortly after it's believed that he was at the
00:18:42
pizza shop so 2:42 a.m. to 3:29 a.m. 45 46 47 minutes where I go with this if we
00:18:52
if we forced to go down this road of everybody believes that he was killed it's kind of just weird to me that
00:18:59
it's a true crime show and you feel like we're being forced to talk about a missing person case might be a homicide
00:19:06
case then something had to happen at one of these key points here now there there's a park so this park comes into
00:19:13
play because the dogs do go to the park the private investigator says that it's a possibility we think he may have gone
00:19:23
to the park we don't know why it was within walking distance it's not a safe area but we think that he went into the
00:19:30
park and either chose to leave or something happened in the park and then he he was moved well they were saying
00:19:37
because I don't know this area well but there's a lot of parts in in Columbus Ohio that well you got a nice stadium
00:19:47
for for a baseball team or or a soccer club and a couple blocks away is not a great area right and they're saying in
00:19:59
this area there's a lot of drugs and a lot of gangs the the park is weird too because the it's one report out there is
00:20:08
that a homeless person at some point and I want to be clear by saying that at some point I do not have a date for this
00:20:15
m reported to law enforcement that they had witnessed Kyle being murdered being killed in the Park yeah the problem also
00:20:22
with all this stuff is these these homeless camps or whatever you want to call them they're they're a problem cuz
00:20:30
you know we have individuals that whether it's mental issues or drug addiction or just down on their
00:20:39
luck you know here another missing person case the the Riley strand case now they believe that he made it to uh
00:20:49
to a homeless park or or again whatever I don't know what you want to call them but it just baffles me that we live in
00:20:56
America and we're going to spend millions of on Wars but we can't just take care of some people down on their
00:21:02
luck here and and and do something about this problem because it's becoming a problem everywhere and my rants over and
00:21:09
never listen to me cuz I don't know what I'm talking about if this report is correct that this information was
00:21:16
reported by a homeless individual to law enforcement what we do know is it was at least years ago so it
00:21:24
doesn't appear that this information led to anything and remember we said early in part one that today the reward is up
00:21:31
to $50,000 is it just as simple as some individual came forward pretending to have information that they didn't really
00:21:39
have hoping to catch some of that reward right and to me it seems like if this was a random attack in the park why W
00:21:47
they just leave him in the park exactly that would seem to make the most sense and then and the other thing though too
00:21:54
circling back to the interview with the individual that was in prison again they must have had something there
00:22:00
but if let's say they did have something right that they had somebody snitching on somebody or they had what they
00:22:09
thought was good information good enough information to point to who did this and
00:22:15
kind of what happened to Kyle that night and who's responsible and that's why we
00:22:19
need to go to this prison and talk to this individual either they're the person responsible or they know intimate
00:22:26
knowledge of what happened to Kyle that night mhm part of me also wonders like are we looking at a situation where this
00:22:35
is a a no body situation right like like you said had he been killed by A Perfect
00:22:41
Stranger In the Park you just leave him there you leave the victim there so I have to wonder
00:22:48
there there are cases that we know that never make it to trial or never make it to the point of arresting someone simply
00:22:55
because they don't have a body they can't prove that that homicide even took place like we don't we don't even have a
00:23:01
large amount of Kyle's blood somewhere so this pizza shop did have a place where people could eat inside and then
00:23:09
uh I believe they had a patio as well and I want to say something I'm not trying to be
00:23:16
funny I know this going to sound like a funny story but I went to a Subway this is a couple months ago and it was
00:23:25
roughly around closing time and I went in there there's nobody in the shop there's no line the guy asked me what I
00:23:33
want I start placing my order I have more than one sub that he has to make he gets his level of irritation went from
00:23:42
0o to 10 very quickly I wasn't like joking around with him I was just he asked me what I wanted I told him what I
00:23:50
wanted by the time he is like rolling up my subs and putting them in the bag he asks and I think he asked just by
00:24:02
reflex hey is there anything else you want and then he kind of looked at me funny as if like I don't know why I just
00:24:11
asked you that because I don't want to get you anything else and it was just this very strange interaction where I
00:24:20
actually wanted some cookies if I if I go to Subway I get my three cookies I didn't order the cookies
00:24:28
because that's how irritated the guy seemed and and it seemed as like I said once I placed my order and then I plac
00:24:36
the second order every time I'm placing another item to the list the more annoyed he got to the point like I
00:24:45
said and I'm a I'm a pretty big dude I was lit literally literally concerned that if I would have
00:24:55
ordered something else that there might be a confrontation and I know that sounds very strange but
00:25:02
that's how I felt no I think that plays here so the reason why I think that plays
00:25:09
here is remember we said in part one that the reports are that Kyle's device called a business that he was at earlier
00:25:17
MH and we found it to be very strange that they tell us all the other persons and places that he calls but they leave
00:25:25
that one out now there is a report out there of of the private investigator hired by the family that and I don't
00:25:33
know if that report is meant to say that the private investigator believes or it is fact that Kyle called
00:25:43
the Buckhead Saloon after he had left the Buckhead Saloon now what I can say is the private investigator would know
00:25:51
right they have the the call records mhm so under that part here's how this Theory
00:25:59
goes that Kyle did call the Buckhead Saloon after leaving which would stand to make some sense seeing how he
00:26:08
discovered that he this would be after if he stopped at the pizza place this is after that so like you pointed out th
00:26:15
this is when he's like oh realizing I left my debit card oh I probably left my oh I did leave my jacket too I'm going
00:26:22
to give him a quick call because I'm going to head back there and pick up my stuff it's around closing time time the
00:26:29
reason why your story plays here is there are some people that believe that there's a chance that he made it back to
00:26:34
that bar right and that something went down now it could he have bumped into some people that he got into an
00:26:42
altercation with before that we do know about or some people that he gave a nasty look to before earlier that night
00:26:50
that we don't know about along the way that's a possibility could he have showed up at the bar banged on the door
00:26:55
and demanded to come in and get his belongings in they they turned them away and something happened there there are
00:27:02
people online that have have stated that they've been at that bar and something goes down between them and a bouncer or
00:27:12
two and I don't want to get into the details of those because I don't know I don't know who these people are that are
00:27:18
reporting this online and if if their stories are true but in its simplest form the way that these people have
00:27:25
reported this is you know I I damn near got knocked unconscious by a a bouncer there and when I called the police all
00:27:35
of a sudden the person that that beat me up is no longer there and the other bouncers are yeah we don't know who that
00:27:43
was right turning turning it from a situation where here's a person that we know is responsible for assaulting me
00:27:50
but the other bouncers can have his back and say yeah that was some random guy that was in here earlier and he took off
00:27:56
after he beat up this poor guy and also my problem with this is we have him on footage at the bar on footage leaving
00:28:05
the bar wouldn't we have some footage of him going back to the bar cuz I'm assuming he would have went back the

00:31:28
mates thanks for telling your mother Colonel you can still dance if you want to and I want to but not until we get
00:31:35
through some of the details here so we we do know remember we talked about the K9 Cent tracing team being brought in M
00:31:45
this would would have been days after his disappearance so we do have to keep that in mind the basic report here is
00:31:53
that these dogs were deployed it was two blood hounds that were deployed at separate times but
00:32:01
what's interesting about these two dogs deployed at different times Captain is they both took the same route so they go
00:32:08
to the fuel Pizza MH then down 6th Street down North brever Street there's been a lot of discussion about Kyle
00:32:17
walking down North David Street and so the thing is that seems to be confusing part of the story because
00:32:25
that's not the route that the dogs took now remember the private investigator said that the dogs did take them to the
00:32:31
park and then back out of the park so they believe that Kyle at some point may have went in there and then left
00:32:39
willingly or unwillingly well law enforcement needs to decide whether these dogs whether they believe what the
00:32:46
information the dogs are giving them is correct but that's the basic route of the dogs now the the dogs do take them
00:32:54
to this edgeline construction s site now today I believe it's a a very large apartment
00:33:03
building but this was being constructed at the time this construction area is important
00:33:12
as well because there are people that believe that he may be buried there and in one news article his father
00:33:23
says that we believe that he's there that's where we believe that he he is now this case is so fascinating to me
00:33:30
because there's so many similarities to the Brian schaer case the reports are that they have asked if they could
00:33:37
search and the property owners had said under no circumstances will you be searching our property well I don't like
00:33:43
that at all if he's under the building it may be way too late for any of that anyway yeah it's [ __ ] up but that's
00:33:51
what the dog information is telling us per the private investigator and per some of the
00:33:58
words uh that his father dick fleshman has said to some different news outlets but it doesn't
00:34:07
have to mean that something happened by somebody at the the fuel pizza because his father also say some other
00:34:14
interesting things and and I know I'm putting a lot of weight into what is at the end of the day pure
00:34:21
speculation but again his father knows him better than any of us do yeah and has been privy to certain bits of
00:34:30
information that we we don't have any knowledge of that would be the investigation uncovered by the private
00:34:37
investigator and some of the communications from the police department and one statement that I
00:34:43
found really curious from dick fleschman is him saying that I don't think my son knew
00:34:51
how late it was and what he meant by that is that he didn't get up he he questions did his son get up from the
00:35:00
bar and leave because he was hungry to go down and grab a couple slices and come back that he didn't accidentally
00:35:07
leave his debit card in his jacket that he intended to come back and retrieve them he just didn't realize it was so
00:35:13
close to closing time which would make some sense because he's also calling people very late at night but if he
00:35:19
thought it was a couple hours earlier then it's not that late mhm but you got to applaud his father and his family I
00:35:26
mean oh they pulled out all the stops they've done everything they possibly could to try to find him the private
00:35:32
investigator we do know collected Kyle's jacket and debit card from the bar uh and and did talk with everybody at the
00:35:42
bar he said that everybody seemed Cooperative I want to give a well I was going to say I want to give a shout out
00:35:49
but I failed to collect this person's name so way to go I let's give a shout out week in a row fired let's
00:35:56
give a shout out to the ghost riter okay so I pulled this off of Reddit yes this
00:36:01
individual has a very interesting indepth write up on Kyle's disappearance and this person says that they spoke so
00:36:12
here straight from their post I recently spoke to the general manager of the Buckhead Saloon the general manager
00:36:18
during the time of Kyle's disappearance this poster says that the general manager said that people came by
00:36:27
Buckhead Saloon on the day following Kyle's disappearance he believes that it was Kyle's sister who first came by but
00:36:32
was not certain remember I had I had was wondering if we know that Kyle's sister
00:36:37
lives in this area or lived in this area at some point I wondered if she lived in
00:36:42
the area when he went missing so it would make it would stand to reason that she would be the first one if she's
00:36:47
closest in proximity yeah I know that place I've been there a bunch of times so upon realizing that Kyle is
00:36:55
missing according to this report the general manager pulled video footage from the prior evening in this footage
00:37:02
he remembers seeing Kyle leaving the saloon and dancing on the dance floor earlier that evening the general manager
00:37:09
said he was working that night but had no interaction with Kyle I asked the general manager what his reaction was
00:37:17
when he initially saw the footage of Kyle exiting the saloon he said he initially noted Kyle was alone appeared
00:37:24
to be intoxicated and that Kyle seemed confused or as if he was looking for someone the general manager of the
00:37:31
saloon was friends with upper management at the Holiday Inn located at Charlotte
00:37:37
City Center so this is 230 North College Street this person is saying that the general manager told them that he went
00:37:45
down to that Holiday Inn and asked them to pull their video footage as well because and he says that the
00:37:53
general manager says that that he remembers them as willing to show them their security footage but must not have
00:38:01
seen anything on it so the reason why we're going to this from this poster here what what somebody post on on
00:38:09
Reddit is they're talking about that somebody is speculating is there a chance that Kyle may have gone to an
00:38:17
Afterparty at the holiday in that is right by the saloon the people that work there say that it's it's regular it's
00:38:24
not uncommon for people that even live just out of the metropolitan area to book a room for the night after
00:38:34
partying Uptown for the whole night because they don't want to have to drive they don't want have to drink and drive
00:38:40
MH so there is a lot of speculation here that they're none of his friends are saying that they were aware of him
00:38:46
attempting to go to an Afterparty but we don't know what transpired 100% after the friends leave one thing I do find
00:38:55
fascinating about this case as well is this is not a case where I have any suspicions of the people that were with
00:39:02
him and hanging out that night his friends old Clint Flor has because normally we would right Captain would be
00:39:08
like well what are we sure yeah that that so and so's story is correct are we sure that this person is saying
00:39:15
everything that they know yeah question why the friend won't take a polygraph test you son of a [ __ ] talk about the
00:39:21
Tyler Davis case right missing in Columbus we have a there's a lot of speculation about his his wife his
00:39:29
friend yeah if she's telling the truth or or if he's telling the people that were with him that night in this
00:39:34
situation when I hear me and my wife left and returned to our home me and my girlfriend left and we returned to our
00:39:42
home and we know that they're not seen on the surveillance footage with him when when Kyle's leaving that to me
00:39:48
seems to tell me that those people are out but you still shouldn't leave your friend somewhere drunk by himself and I
00:39:56
believe there's a Facebook page for Kyle's case trying to help find information that was set up almost
00:40:02
immediately and this was set up by one of his friends that was there that night with him well again we have the
00:40:08
surveillance footage right of people leaving yes so if somebody came back you'd think law enforcement would go
00:40:14
well that's fishy wow that that doesn't make a lot of sense mhm but again you just don't know how and it's just such a
00:40:24
shame that law enforcement doesn't take these serious ious right away because most of these people that
00:40:31
are reported missing within 24 hours they're getting calls and getting confirmation that the person's not
00:40:37
missing anymore I also wonder if and if if and potentially how much information has been held back from
00:40:45
the public right are there things that I hope I hope that there are things that the investigators know that we just
00:40:53
simply don't know because as you can tell as your earballs are telling you 10 15 times throughout this these two
00:41:01
podcasts there's a lot of question marks here there's a lot that the colonel and
00:41:05
the captain just don't know in this case because were dumb [ __ ] idiots because
00:41:09
there's a lot of question marks here now to to add a little more color to what's
00:41:16
going on here that holiday in while that's just pure speculation we should point out that it is very nearby fuel
00:41:25
pizza so if the camera footage is telling us that he's walking in the direction of fuel Pizza it also means
00:41:31
that he's walking in the direction of the holiday in mhm well with a lot of these missing person
00:41:38
cases we have to figure out when was the last time that anybody saw him mhm and so a lot of people just assume well it's
00:41:47
that night but not in this case no cuz this one's weird we get a taxi driver that claims to we should be clear here
00:41:54
on this because I you see some of these reports and and the reports are that the
00:41:58
taxi driver claims to have seen Kyle walking down North Davidson street by himself and this could be what is
00:42:06
unclear to me Captain is the report says 4 days later well does that mean that the taxi driver reported it 4 days later
00:42:13
or that he saw Kyle four days later right now you do a little more digging and the first thing that you find out
00:42:20
right away is regardless of when he spotted Kyle you quickly realize this Taxi Driver never says I saw Kyle
00:42:30
Flashman on North Davidson Street walking by himself he says I saw someone that is that looked to be like or
00:42:41
possibly could have been Kyle Flashman right because we're assuming that this Taxi Driver doesn't know him personally
00:42:48
correct and so and so the taxi driver's statement is I can't say it was Kyle but
00:42:55
I can't rule out that it wasn't Kyle the person looked a lot like Kyle now the private investigator adds a little his
00:43:04
opinion to this saying that he thinks it's highly doubtful that it was Kyle he doesn't doubt that the taxi driver saw
00:43:10
someone just does not believe that it is Kyle and then we get this strange statement from a resident who
00:43:19
lived nearby okay so going by the name of Mary and and she was this person was interviewed on camera at one point not
00:43:30
not uh showing her face they interviewed her you know how sometimes it to keep a
00:43:36
person Anonymous you might just get a camera view of them from the waist down or just from or from the back yeah or
00:43:44
they just just show us their butt she was interviewed so you could hear her words and know that it was her talking
00:43:51
but her face was not shown on camera so this person that they are calling Mary could be her real name I don't know I
00:43:59
don't think it was she's a resident lives nearby she reports of suspicious what she calls suspicious activity at the
00:44:08
edgeline construction site saying that she lived by the edgeline flats construction site this is the place
00:44:15
where some people speculate that Kyle may be buried under and years back WBTV Channel 3 interviewed this individual
00:44:26
the key here Captain is a a couple of bits of information she submitted a tip to the police department stating that
00:44:35
there was a sudden foul odor at the construction site beside her home and that she had witnessed two men and a red
00:44:44
truck at this construction site in the middle of the night this all seems very suspicious it seems to go along with
00:44:51
what the dogs some of the information we get from the dogs it seems to go along with a lot of the speculation from the
00:44:57
family and the private investigator where this story takes a bit of a Twist where it seems maybe not
00:45:06
everything is on the up and up part of the story is Mary says I got off work at 11:00 p.m. that night and I it was
00:45:12
regular for me to go sit on my front porch when it was nice outside everybody has a different description of the
00:45:17
weather and what is nice and what is not nice but as we stated earlier it's reported that it was would have been
00:45:23
about 30° maybe 32° at the time that Kyle was last seen I like the cold but I would I would wager
00:45:32
that most people wouldn't call that nice out that night you know that that it was
00:45:37
a nice night out that night so I went and sat on the front porch anyway her statement is she remembers seeing a red
00:45:42
truck and two men at the construction site around 3:00 a.m. so this is in that very critical window of time that we're
00:45:48
concerned about she believes that the two men were either younger or middleaged the men were both
00:45:55
Caucasian she said that the men were talking for a long time standing behind the truck she never says to have seen
00:46:03
Kyle or somebody that looked to be like Kyle just that there was this foul odor that came from the construction
00:46:12
site and that she saw these two individuals that she cannot identify and this red truck if I'm law
00:46:19
enforcement I'm first looking at the individuals he had a confrontation with and going does any of those guys own a
00:46:26
redu truck do anybody they know own a red truck that they could have borrowed the truck does anybody that worked at
00:46:33
the pizza shop do do they own a red truck right but it It's just tough because you'd like to say that the
00:46:41
police did all they could in this case but I I don't think they did well if they did they were late to get or if
00:46:48
they did or if they did they they uh not sharing that information with us so she
00:46:53
says that this was of note to her so kudos to his family for spreading the word and conducting searches in this
00:47:02
area because that's how she becomes aware right that's how everybody becomes aware that there hey there's a missing
00:47:07
adult male that was last seen in this area and she says that this her seeing these two guys in the red truck seemed
00:47:18
of importance to her to the point of reporting it not just because of that foul odor but more important but she
00:47:24
also says because she had been out on her front porch many nights during the construction process and she never
00:47:32
remembers ever seeing anybody out there at that time of night prior to or after so we said all that I've been
00:47:41
honking for too long here Captain honk honk honk we've gone round and round with a lot of speculation as we said at
00:47:48
the very start of of episode one of this case that everything's in question our mystery starts at 220
00:47:58
a.m. do you have anything that garage task force gut check do you have anything that you think what do you
00:48:05
think happened that night I don't know if law enforcement did their due diligence but at some point they started
00:48:12
investigating this as a homicide and not a missing person case so to me that's pointing us into the direction that
00:48:22
Kyle's not coming home but what happened I couldn't tell you you and it's hard to dismiss the
00:48:31
fact that he had this confrontation I'd like to know the whereabouts of these individuals were
00:48:38
they able to track these individuals and again then we have all these rumors about the pizza shop and
00:48:44
then right around the corner is this construction site and I think when you have so many
00:48:51
rumors you know where there's smoke there's fire so some kind of homicide but I I
00:48:57
don't think the motive is clear this is this just a difficult case to me it seems
00:49:06
like the most likely thing is that he just ran into the wrong person that night and they're just somebody that has
00:49:14
no [ __ ] to give well and I'm I'm right there with you I think that that's probably what happened I have to go with
00:49:23
what the family is telling us their beliefs are that that he was killed and his dad is right in saying that look at
00:49:32
some point the homicide Squad is investigating my son's case and I think that whatever happened
00:49:40
to him there's a there is high potential that the person did not intend to kill him but without having more information
00:49:49
and not being able to locate Kyle it's too difficult to say but I I feel like unless
00:49:57
there's some very random situation where he gets into a a taxi cab and and it's it's Captain psychopath driving the
00:50:07
vehicle and all of a sudden he's he's frightened out of his mind and and randomly hitting buttons on his phone or
00:50:14
some guys pull him into a car and start moving him I I really think that the whatever happened to him involves one of
00:50:21
the locations that we talked about at length in these two episodes the bar the pizza place the park or that
00:50:29
construction site it it it's there's just too much that keeps taking us back to those different locations well I I
00:50:39
agree with you I think it's somebody well I'm going to be a tough guy I'm going to be a
00:50:44
bully I'm going to beat this guy up here's a here's an easy victim I I don't think somebody just saw this random
00:50:51
person and just went that guy I'm going to kill him Kyle is listed on name he is
00:50:57
missing person 2456 and there is a description of Kyle along with some pictures of him and it
00:51:07
we should note that according to namus they have his dental records as well there is a help find Kyle Flashman
00:51:16
Facebook page with about 5,000 members I I believe this number was significantly
00:51:21
higher back in 2007 and 8 this was set up by his good friend I believe it was his onetime roommate Dan that that set
00:51:30
up the Facebook page and and runs that page I do want to give a big shout out to the vanished podcast they covered the
00:51:39
story in 2021 and there's no shortage of information out there or people that have covered this case there's a lot of
00:51:48
news articles online about Kyle's disappearance and and what may have happened to him there's no shortage of
00:51:54
of speculation on Reddit but big shout out to Marissa Jones who does always does gang busters work on
00:52:02
missing persons cases in their stories from the vanish podcast because she was able to interview Kyle's father uh his
00:52:12
his good friend the the private investigator and there's information that can be gleaned from their words
00:52:19
that you don't get from these other news articles that you don't get from a three
00:52:25
or four minute news snippet so kudos to her and and if really if you want to learn if you if you want to extend
00:52:36
visiting this case that's the the place that I would point you and as said there's been no shortage of good news
00:52:44
articles over the years as well about this case we we truly wish Kyle's family the very best of luck in this regard and
00:52:52
and his friends who have helped to keep this story alive and and in in front of everybody's faces to
00:53:00
remind them that this this youngster is still missing and that this case isn't closed we hope that law enforcement can
00:53:08
get the right tip that they need and law enforcement says that if you have information this is where they would
00:53:16
point you remember there's still a $50,000 reward for information regarding the whereabouts of Kyle or what happened
00:53:24
to him on that night in 20 2007 and law enforcement encourages anyone with information to call their
00:53:37
Crim Stoppers tipline so submit that information to 704 3 34600 [Music] want to thank you so much for listening
