[Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] you know what I always think about this
00:00:22
is um when I'm when I leave here Captain you think about how handsome I am I do that that occupies most of my drive and
00:00:32
you sit there and wonder H for a guy that's so handsome why is he only on a podcast well actually what what I
00:00:44
actually think about is I passed the waffle house there's a new waffle house that is on my journey from my house to
00:00:52
the garage and I have to pass it both ways and you and I had many conversations about that beautiful fancy
00:00:59
new waffle house that they put in have you been there yet I've not been over there to throw down some extra Cris
00:01:06
crispy hash browns uh I've been there several times is it good I mean it's Waffle House yeah I've been to some bad
00:01:14
ones though my friend been to some bad ones I have not um but that's because I'm not a also if you go
00:01:22
to one of my pet peeves is when you go to a like a waffle house it's established restaurant it's
00:01:31
been around forever they don't have a bunch of options I know that you can get a
00:01:37
hamburger but don't you should have and you should know what your order is it that's the type of place you walk in you
00:01:47
don't need to see a menu and if you need to see a menu you shouldn't be going to
00:01:52
Waffle House in the first place one of my pet peeves bad food bad service so like I said I've been to a couple Bad
00:01:59
Ones been some really really damn good ones though too uh we got some updates to go through here today Captain this
00:02:06
show is sponsored by Waffle House that's right well the good ones anyway not the
00:02:11
bad ones this show is only sponsored by the good wff go to True Crime garage.com
00:02:16
right now to click on a map of the good Waffle House locations we tried them all
00:02:22
and we we we rated them by bottle caps so this this case that we covered a couple weeks ago the missing Fort Worth
00:02:32
Trio mhm now we do have an update on that and we did say going into that show that hey there's a good chance they're
00:02:40
going to go diving and looking for some evidence and some vehicles uh regarding this case Vehicles they thought possibly
00:02:48
were linked to this case yeah and I don't know if people if a couple people fell asleep while they were listening
00:02:54
but I got several emails from people saying hey guess what uh did you know they're going they're to dive this
00:03:01
weekend to look for some Vehicles I'm like did did I miss something didn't we cover that on the show yeah so anyway I
00:03:08
love when people go I don't know if you've seen this mhm now 98% of the time I have seen that um the other 2% I am so
00:03:19
happy that somebody shared information with me that I haven't seen so I guess keep doing it right I got 10 emails this
00:03:27
week that said I can't believe Nick that you didn't find Michael Peterson guilty
00:03:32
well I I kind of did kind yeah that was my favorite one I saw one where this lady just went off on you and I kept on
00:03:40
thinking what he said was the state didn't make a great case they didn't make a great case so I could but he was
00:03:48
still found guilty on that not such great case that they made but if I had if I held a gun to your head which you
00:03:55
did we unfortunately we did yes but that was the proper whiskey proper 12 whiskey
00:04:04
another sponsor of the show but only the good bottles not the bad bottles but you
00:04:10
did say that you would find him guilty if there was a gun to your head yes and so with the Fort Worth Trio with the
00:04:17
missing girls down in Fort Worth they successfully did the dive and I'm going to kind of give my off the Record
00:04:24
version of this whole deal okay so the the question is well if they recover anything from the lake and I believe
00:04:34
it's Ben Brook Lake uh if they recover anything from the lake well who is going to analyze this stuff who's going to
00:04:41
test it what are they specifically looking for and I do have to throw out a caveat here that I am kind of guessing
00:04:48
when I say this and the reason why there's some question about who would analyze what's found in that lake is
00:04:54
because the the dive itself was privately funded the local authorities the local police said look this is a
00:05:02
very expensive operation and more importantly very dangerous so we can't undertake this adventure if you can pull
00:05:12
these vehicles from the lake and this is what I believe is happening is that whatever they pull from the lake the
00:05:18
police are willing to analyze it and test it later at their facilities but they are not going to be actually diving
00:05:25
into the water sending people down there to which is hilarious pull these Vehicles out I know that your taxpayer
00:05:32
money goes to our department and goes to funding but this is too dangerous but if you want
00:05:42
to that's well I wonder what the liability is I wonder if there's some kind of like legal issues with that if
00:05:49
if they deem something to be too dangerous I mean they likely don't have a dive team like or or one that would
00:05:58
one that's uh has the ability to recover wreckage that's 40 feet below water right but
00:06:05
they would just be hiring a company to do it anyways but I just like the uh sentiment you know uh it's a little too
00:06:12
dangerous for us to do it but hey if you want to do it right no no no I I get I get your side of it I think what's
00:06:21
happened here is I think the the police are saying we don't have any anything to
00:06:27
suggest anything that would prove to us that what we would find down there has anything to do with any open case at all
00:06:34
right this is um so where's this lead coming from do we know yeah well so the brother uh
00:06:42
remember we discussed Rusty uh one of the missing girls Brothers this is a lead that he generated and I know that
00:06:50
we talked quite a bit bit saying that he had thought that one of the girls was still alive and coming back to Fort
00:06:55
Worth for Christmas time or or during the holidays from year to year I don't know that I was clear when uh we did the
00:07:02
show but Rusty has moved on from that theory that was a theory that he was actively pursuing years ago and I don't
00:07:11
know when he uh decided against that theory but at some point he did come around and he's looking into other
00:07:18
theories now the thought here is that somebody and I don't know this is this is rumor so I'm not going to say any
00:07:26
names specifically but I will say this the thought is that one of the persons that we named on the show somebody that
00:07:36
was named in this case in this story MH the captain so he had a vehicle that was
00:07:43
considered quote unquote his baby all right this was a 69 Javelin maybe something like that but it's a if you
00:07:52
it's a sports car um it would have been I think it was purple in color and this was this this guy's baby and supposedly
00:08:02
it took years and years and years to get this information somehow but somehow Rusty and his work his team of
00:08:08
investigators have stumbled upon the lead that this individual his vehicle that was his
00:08:15
baby suddenly and mysteriously disappears around the same time that the three girls disappeared and so his
00:08:24
thought was look the only thing that um this vehicle could have information regarding these three missing
00:08:30
individuals he could have placed this in Ben Brook Lake and at some point they paid somebody to use sonar or you know
00:08:39
the person came in and and and used their their technology just to help out volunteered their time and services they
00:08:45
used sonar to locate three vehicles that were 40t down at Benbrook Lake M now on
00:08:52
the 22nd of September they did actually go out there and do the dive which was fantastic because I believe it's been
00:08:58
cancelled a couple times before due to weather and other circumstances but they did the dive and they did recover one of
00:09:05
the vehicles the rumors that I'm hearing are this Captain is it did you see the picture of the vehicle yeah it's uh it's
00:09:13
a rusty bucket it looks like it's been sitting underwater for 40 years yeah it looks like a trash bucket so the rumors
00:09:22
I'm hearing is that they are interested in two of the three vehicles that are down there um I think one one of the
00:09:29
vehicles might be a pickup truck or they're able to determine that it is not a vehicle that they're looking for
00:09:35
they're looking specifically for the vehicle that that this individual owned the sports car right and my guess name
00:09:45
purple purple my guess would be I mean you saw the vehicle that they recovered they only recovered one they're going to
00:09:52
go back and try to get this second vehicle at some point didn't look purple to me no well I don't know that I saw
00:09:58
any paint on that thing um I'm just saying I mean it looked more like rust than purple my thought would be that
00:10:05
with those Vehicles sitting down there for this length of time that they are looking for something
00:10:10
very very like almost a Smoking Gun you know they're looking for remains for for
00:10:16
bones yeah or clothing something directly tied to these girls because you're not going to find DNA you're not
00:10:23
going to find fingerprints but you would even think that clothing I mean so much
00:10:28
of that evidence that they could find would be washed away maybe maybe you could get lucky and find some jewelry or
00:10:35
something a little more heavyduty like a leather belt or some kind of shoes something like that may have survived
00:10:41
all of this time in the water MH but what's interesting is that we know that they didn't get the second vehicle out
00:10:49
but the first vehicle being removed is some success it does show that it's likely they could get this other vehicle
00:10:55
out at some point and it's it sounds like it's the other vehicle that they're more specifically interested in they
00:11:02
want to see if they can pull the VIN number off of that to prove that it belonged to this individual and then
00:11:07
they can come back and say wait a second three people that you knew one that you
00:11:12
knew directly goes missing um you've you've claimed to be cooperative I me on the outside looking in I don't think
00:11:20
he's been extremely cooperative and all of a sudden your baby the the vehicle the thing that you love the most in life
00:11:28
your Barney MO B is gone and it and we believe it was gone and dumped in the lake roughly the same time these girls
00:11:35
went missing yeah but don't you think this guy being a car guy that he would get rid of the VIN
00:11:41
numbers possibly and you know also if this is your baby but you got to get rid of it you could do some alterations as
00:11:48
far as things that you could do to the engine things you could do to certain parts that would kind of Disguise the
00:11:55
identity of the car so even if you could prove even even if there's three bodies
00:12:00
in the trunk even if you can prove that there's three bodies in the trunk of this car you might not necessarily be
00:12:06
able to prove to anybody that he's connected to this car mhm right and you know what's interesting though here is
00:12:16
regardless if they pull if they can get this second vehicle out and let's say they can prove that it is his or was his
00:12:24
he's successfully hid that piece of evidence for over 40 years I mean that it's not like they knew all along that
00:12:31
this car was down there in Ben Brook Lake this is something that they've just come up with in recent times and have
00:12:38
worked to try to get that thing extracted from the lake it's fascinating to me I mean the effort that the brother
00:12:46
has put into this case because I feel I feel me you a probably majority of our listeners I mean one I think it
00:12:56
helps being interested in True Crime but but if something that like this happened
00:13:01
to one of your family members how much effort you would put in as well you know what I mean like it's almost like he's
00:13:09
of the mindset he's going to do everything he can until till his time stops well when I was trolling maps of
00:13:16
the area Captain to I wanted to see where Ben Brook Lake was in relation to where the girls were last seen where
00:13:25
some of the suspects and victim lived um you know I came across and this is funny because it kind
00:13:35
of makes me think of the song Possum Kingdom by toies well it doesn't kind of it absolutely does
00:13:43
there's Possum Kingdom Lake is between two of the cities that we mentioned when we covered the the story and I guess
00:13:53
those guys and I think there's a fe is there a female base player it's not all guys in the band I think there's a girl
00:14:00
too let me look that up but they're from Texas and uh so posum kingdom was of course about that that Lake that that I
00:14:10
saw on the on the map there Toadies yeah which that's kind of a weird um the lyrics to that song Almost make
00:14:20
it sound like a guy that is keeping a woman captive uh you know holding her somewhere four Dudes it's four Dudes
00:14:28
there's you're right there's definitely no no lady in that band yeah the toes Toadies well I think it's
00:14:37
just Toadies but right right but I'd always call them the Toadies right you you like the
00:14:44
Toadies let's see um I remember like two of their songs but but posum Kingdom I think was a was a you know a hit and a
00:14:52
lot of people knew that song it was a very cool in the video is very cool too yeah okay so uh make up your mind decide
00:14:59
to walk with me around the N Lake tonight around the lake today night by my side by my side I'm not going to lie
00:15:09
I'm not um I'll not be a gentleman behind the boat house I'll show you my dark secret I'm not going to lie I want
00:15:18
you for mine my Blushing Bride my lover be my lover yeah and then yeah I mean this is basically a serial killer song
00:15:28
you I don't be afraid I didn't mean to scare you so help me Jesus I can promise you you'll stay as beautiful with dark
00:15:36
hair and soft skin Forever This is come to my boat house I'm going to show you my dark secret which is not a nickname
00:15:44
for his um he's going to show you a body I always he's going to kill you I always took it as um you know he's going
00:15:56
to take her captive as at some point he's trying to get her out to the middle of nowhere yeah but behind the boat
00:16:02
house I'll show you my dark secret what right what is the dark secret him that he's an evil monster so right I think
00:16:12
he's showing her a body this is well he could this is the last one this is the last girl that that messed with me
00:16:19
that's what he's saying I get it but that's what I always thought that that's where this song was going but I what
00:16:26
I've read online is that it has something to do with a an evil spirit that is um like an
00:16:32
urban legend that occupies that space and that this evil spirit will try to convince uh people to either commit
00:16:42
murder or suicide and then like join them in the afterlife uh to be evil become one something like that I read
00:16:50
this a while ago what was their other hit song um I don't know I don't know I don't even know if posum kingdom was a
00:17:00
hit song it I would say it was in our neighborhood because it was on the I remember being on the radio quite a bit
00:17:06
and uh you know so for our local station it was probably considered a hit well isn't there a one that's
00:17:15
like do you want to die that is that is posum Kingdom okay but it's not in the lyrics why didn't they put that in the
00:17:22
lyrics I don't see it I don't know and you might have gone to I don't want to die
00:17:29
you may have gone to a bad website make up your mind lyrics are so awful when you just
00:17:36
read them uh I did have somebody point out to me remember I mentioned that this one individual should be a suspect
00:17:43
because he would later in life uh confess to having been involved in some manner in the lion sisters uh
00:17:52
abduction and murder and he was uh in close proximity to this missing person case during 1974 I did have somebody
00:18:01
point out to me that they don't think that that individual um was involved in this case at all because it sounds like
00:18:08
he may have had help or um had others that were involved in the the killing of those two girls unfortunately um and
00:18:18
they they don't believe he is a he is in fact a killer he's kind of um you know he's he's a piece of but he's not
00:18:27
hey he's not the sole perpetrator of the crime is what this person believes and I
00:18:32
I promised I would say something at least to throw it out there because I do have a lot of respect for this person's
00:18:39
opinion well I I think if you look at the situation with three girls missing and what a fascinating case it was
00:18:48
really fascinating to me to have re you know I did research on the case and then
00:18:54
I just wasn't into it mhm and then we started talking about on the show and it like every couple minutes as we're
00:19:02
talking about it like the more and more like amped up I got where I was like this is this case is just fascinating
00:19:10
right and you know I think sometimes it depends on when you're doing the research but you got three girls one
00:19:15
that's not supposed to be there so that throws a big wrinkle into everything as far as questioning things or why things
00:19:23
happened or why things went down then you have so many eyewitnesses and a lot of the eyewitness
00:19:28
is there's more than one person that they think possibly could be the perpetrator in those scenarios and you
00:19:35
think three girls especially the older two girls one individual to take control of
00:19:43
that situation would be very difficult right it's a another you know kind of going back to like the West Memphis 3
00:19:50
thing 3 eighty olds could this be done by one individual most likely not so not saying that it's impossible but that
00:20:00
throws a wrinkle in it another fascinating case that we covered Captain was the wait are we moving on to a
00:20:06
different case yeah okay let me tell a story real quick okay so I I don't know if you remember this because to get rid
00:20:14
of a car in a lake or a pond or anything like that is would be difficult I would think so yes more
00:20:26
difficult than I think people would think but when we lived in the apartment over on the west side right and uh so
00:20:35
like I don't know if you were working third shift at the time you probably were working third shift at the
00:20:41
time but I think and I I think you were at work but we had the window right by the
00:20:50
kitchen sometimes we would this is back in the day when we were smoking cigarettes and drinking beer in the
00:20:56
house and and open up the window so open up the window to let the smoke out and I'm having a beer and I'm playing my
00:21:03
guitar and uh it's real late I mean it's 12 1:00 and all of a sudden I hear like a
00:21:14
splash like a splash and I heard kind of some wrestling like somebody walking through the grass and it's pretty late
00:21:21
so the windows open so my first thought is well if this is somebody breaking into a house or or stumbling home drunk
00:21:28
or whatever like the window the the window is wide open even though there's the screen so anyways I kind of look
00:21:36
through the window and and the Little Pond in front of our house was glowing and so I went
00:21:43
outside kept the guitar on to look cool I went outside and and and L literally Splash look out the
00:21:54
window and the door is right by the window mhm go out out the door I see no individual leaving the
00:22:03
vehicle and there's a light on in the car at the bottom of the pond you remember that no yeah I figur you I
00:22:14
figured well you weren't there when it happened and there's a chance that it could have been towed out of there
00:22:18
before I even got yeah you think I would have told you hey I'm sure you probably
00:22:23
told me but I I don't know why I didn't don't remember and so I kept on questioning
00:22:29
did somebody cuz I believe the window was down in the car or maybe it was up like the driver you
00:22:38
think the person was not even in the vehicle that's what I like maybe they was wondering maybe they were hammered
00:22:43
and they get they they thought they put their car in park but their foot was just on the brake and they got out of
00:22:49
the vehicle closed the door and then it keeps going no because we had like the concrete cinder blocks that would stop
00:22:57
you the the the parking blocks I I believe we did um and there was also like little wooden post so I think and
00:23:05
but that's always scary too because you know if you're I mean it's happened very seldom
00:23:13
but twice at least twice that I know of when I'm driving back from like Finley Ohio Cleveland Ohio Cincinnati Ohio like
00:23:20
real late at night I've seen cars on fire on the side of the road and I've thought what what ises that person try
00:23:28
to hide right so you'd think disposing of a car in water or fire would be but it was just the craziest thing
00:23:37
because you're sitting there playing and the other time I was actually um outside
00:23:41
my house playing guitar and about a block away or so I hear just so crash mhm so I'm like somebody might be
00:23:52
hurt I should probably walk and this is a neighborhood at the time so I I walked
00:23:58
maybe a block or two I had my guitar right I couldn't put down the guitar because crash happened I
00:24:05
couldn't go inside and put down the guitar I I could have but I I would just started walking and I didn't want to put
00:24:12
the guitar down on the concrete or anything right so when I show up it was a drunk
00:24:17
guy he hit a parked car and he was just sitting in the front of the yard like oh
00:24:25
I'm I'm drunk and I just hit this car and this really sucks and then the cops come and they're confused by why
00:24:35
I'm there and I'm trying to explain to them like I was a block away and hear the crash right and they don't really
00:24:43
believe me they they're thinking that I was in the car mhm and uh the guy was being a real turd bucket to me so I
00:24:51
started playing uh Crash Into Me by Dave Matthews mhm I just kept playing it over
00:24:57
and over White ask me all these questions and he kept on trying to catch me he kept on going so you were in the
00:25:03
car no I was two blocks away playing my guitar outside so you were in the car right no
00:25:11
I was again like I mean they and then the next guy that showed up he was doing it too like I wanted to go oh you got me
00:25:18
right I was actually driving good thing you didn't because they probably would have taken you seriously this guy's
00:25:24
drunk and crying in the front yard and I'm sitting here a stone sober with my guitar so those those are my okay so
00:25:33
next next case I have to feel I have a I don't know I have other than experience
00:25:40
life experience it seems to me that the drunk drivers hit more parked cars than moving cars like I think it's I think
00:25:49
they I think they fall asleep is what happens yeah like I think they're so drunk that they either pass out or fall
00:25:55
asleep yeah and then then that the car veers off the road and smash I like beer um one night about 3:00 in the morning I
00:26:05
woke up and for some reason I I mean I woke up from a dead sleep and I thought I better look out the window so I woke
00:26:13
up and I rolled over got out of bed looked out the window and then smashed somebody smashed right into my car at
00:26:18
that second yeah and so I ran downstairs and the guy the guy took off like he drove
00:26:26
away in his vehicle and I started to chase him on on foot but then I realized that his front
00:26:35
bumper fell off with the license plate W so they knew who smashed into my car the
00:26:42
problem was it took the cops like 30 minutes to show up so by the time they showed up they find him he's at his
00:26:50
apartment with the door wide open at 3:30 in the morning he's blacked out on the couch and they came in and they were
00:26:57
talking to him and I was like well officers he's clearly drunk you have to arrest him for omvi or DUI or whatever
00:27:04
they call that and uh he said no I I was so shook up by the the accident that I came home and
00:27:14
started drinking and so they're like oh we can't charge him with being I was like oh that's great for me right well
00:27:20
they could charge him with the accident still right they they did do that and he
00:27:24
did he did own up and he paid me back for the vle but um so another interesting case that we covered Captain
00:27:31
was the real estate serial killer to Todd coip cooh Heep um he as we know um that case was was interesting and
00:27:43
something that we said on our show which came to fruition was this is an update from the 17th of September MH that a man
00:27:52
named Dustin Lawson uh was sentenced to 87 months in federal prison prison during a hearing
00:27:59
that week the investigators said that 29 of the 32 guns that they found at Co hiips apartment were provided to him by
00:28:08
Lawson now yeah if if you think back to that case and the story of the way that that went down Todd Kip was he he was
00:28:17
unable to legally own a firearm this is because he was convicted of kidnapping using a firearm to kidnap a woman a girl
00:28:26
in Arizona back in 1986 so he was um not legally allowed to own any guns and we said on our show well MH this guy ended
00:28:34
up getting guns he got 32 of them and he went on to kill seven people eventually
00:28:41
and we said on our show man they better they better charge this dude that sold him the guns yeah he was uh the one
00:28:46
responsible for super bikes yeah yeah and yeah so well and not to get into gun control laws too much but it's like this
00:28:55
is how it should work though you you know there's a reason why this guy's not legally allowed to own guns right and
00:29:01
you stupid son of a gave him the Avenue that he's not supposed to have so do some time in jail and think about
00:29:09
your dumb actions you so 87 months in federal prison for uh Dustin Lawson so that worked out well for us got him got
00:29:19
him got him uh hey you know looking at this real quick it the video says the Toadies I'm telling you it's a good song
00:29:28
no I no no I know I know that you're not saying it's not a good song I think it might be one of the best songs of that
00:29:37
it's time it's like a heavy grunge like it starts off very alternative rock I think and then it gets very kind of
00:29:43
heavy grunge Tyler was my favorite song by then now posum kingdom is definitely the best but it was it was more played
00:29:50
than Tyler if anybody out there is listening that knows the totis let them know the cat Captain double thumbs up
00:29:59
the extra crispy Colonel we're thinking about you guys we're thinking about the totis I mean that's one hell of a band
00:30:06
I'm telling you the song has been stuck in my head since we covered the Fort Worth missing Trio well one if they come
00:30:12
hopefully they're still touring hopefully they get to come to Columbus and uh and we'll I'm going to go hang
00:30:17
out with them that's my goal after we finish this up we we'll look to see if they are yeah so what a band one more I
00:30:25
thought we had two more updates but I'm only seeing one here in my notes and that is uh remember the Danish submarine
00:30:33
inventor Peter mson yeah he had an appeal recently yeah convicted of torturing and murdering Swedish reporter
00:30:41
Kim wall last year he lost his appeal mhm uh against his life sentence uh this was just what about a week or so ago and
00:30:50
shortly after he apologized to the victim's families but it looks to looks like his life sentence will be
00:30:58
upheld uh and he will be looking and rightfully so facing life in prison and as we said on that show um unfortunately
00:31:08
life doesn't always mean life and that happens in this country as well hopefully for him uh he deserves he's
00:31:16
he's not safe to be out amongst anybody else he's not safe in society so he needs to be locked up for the rest of
00:31:24
his his days uh like I said I think he should be tortured that's and they should televise it to
00:31:34
let people know this is what happens period that guy is scum scum of the earth well for any other updates of
00:31:45
course check out our blog people are so kind to go there and give us their thoughts and theories on some of the
00:31:51
cases that we've covered people very kind of leave links to new updates and information on cases that we've covered
00:31:58
as well um if there are any more updates of course you can hear them here on off
00:32:04
the Record and I'm interested to see if they can get that other vehicle out of Ben Brook Lake and if so can they tie it
00:32:12
to the individual that they believe own the vehicle and likely put it there and okay so on their record it says
00:32:23
Toadies not the to that's what I think I think it's Toadies that's why went with
00:32:27
toes when we uh when we were talking into it well their latest release if you want to support toes is the Lower Side
00:32:36
of Uptown and that's their newest release I'm going to check that are they touring I'm tour dates click on it yeah
00:32:45
this is sorry that the toies have taken over this show but um why they show me all this other you know I don't
00:32:52
know oh there's my buddy Bob Schneider don't click on him yeah but why they have him on there oh he must be on their
00:33:00
record label oh okay is is it a shared site maybe no just says tour dates for the Toadies then look the toes.com there
00:33:10
we go they are touring yeah but look at that see the toes.com but on the record it says to and then right here it says
00:33:16
Toadies does it say 2018 they're in wo Texas oh looks they'll be they'll be in Fort Worth
00:33:23
Texas mhm in December yeah they're going to be around a lot in TAS well they're a
00:33:28
Texas band they're going to London hey that's pretty cool see that's what I think is cool that like if you were
00:33:34
California or Texas band like there's enough big cities in both of those states that if you know for your later
00:33:41
career music career there's enough big cities in in Ohio that's true that's true you could just do you could just do
00:33:48
your three hours away you could just do your Ohio tour yeah or tri-state area mhm yeah so when you're leaving the
00:33:55
garage today try not to think about how handsome I am impossible as soon as I get to the
00:34:02
Waffle House um and see the the The Waffle House sign it's my my mind is immediately switched yeah a quick
00:34:12
remember when we were talking about mainly off the Record is for updates right that's as far that's the
00:34:21
general format thought of off the Record well and there's always something in the
00:34:26
news so it's kind of update and news whatever and and kind of whatever we talk about not even update and news it's
00:34:33
on top of that there's we get into discussions whether it's about OJ or with Memphis 3 or something triggers
00:34:41
something else right um like we were talking a little bit about Amy mahalic this week for no reason at all just came
00:34:49
up right so but then the other thing that we talked about was some of these big cases like the Steven hav case or
00:34:57
the Adon SED case or some of the bigger cases that one would just take a lot of research to cover and there's so many
00:35:04
outlets I mean if you look at the Adon case not only do you have seral but you have five or six TV shows now about it
00:35:12
you have Robious book you have which is called the Adon story if you haven't listened to that on audio books or read
00:35:19
that that's a great book you need to check it out podcast on top of podcast multiple
00:35:27
soes these are cases that are researched in great great detail it would take a lot of time and effort just to cover the
00:35:36
case to do it justice would take us a lot longer than a week which doesn't which doesn't mean we wouldn't cover it
00:35:43
at some point you know and I'm just saying the cases that you mentioned specifically it doesn't mean that we
00:35:49
won't cover it but an idea that we kind of stumbled upon through conversation on
00:35:54
this show was that may maybe you know we have people that email us and they're like hey there's this one little aspect
00:36:01
or there's this one little piece of this case of this story and I would love to hear your take on it so we mentioned
00:36:11
that and we did receive some good feedback stating hey that's a good idea um so I think yeah but the worst is when
00:36:18
they go hey I really like that you should cover the John B Ramsey case and I go wait you really like the idea that
00:36:27
we're going to just talk about one part of the case right but then you tell me to cover the John Ramsey case but you
00:36:34
don't tell me what part you want us to discuss right right so what would be helpful tell tell me the the case and
00:36:40
then tell me the the detail that you'd like to discuss it's just like before we covered the uh Michael Peterson case
00:36:47
everybody wanted to know our thoughts on the AL Theory right so well there were some people that said I can't believe
00:36:53
you covered the ow Theory but then but you and I said hey look if you don't you're you're you're missing you're
00:37:00
missing a big chunk of some something that's interesting so you know like if if it were for Jean Benet Ramsay it
00:37:08
would be je you know is the pineapple significant you know is uh her being in beauty pageants at a young age have
00:37:19
anything to do with what ended up happening you know different that's that's kind of what we're looking for uh
00:37:25
don't hand us the whole podie just give us the best piece right yeah or give us a little piece of the pineapple there
00:37:31
you [Music] [Applause] go
