begun so me and Ty were sitting on a bench in New York Freddy was parked down the

street we're waiting for Frank the dable to come out of his house out comes Frank the dable from his

apartment and they observed this gentleman exit his house and they started approaching his

car the guy quickly shut the door it just stood right outside his window firing handguns through the

glass yeah he was shot nine times off from the torso up his head his neck the two of them ran back got in the

car and they they took off got out of the area and left the guy all assumptions were he was

dead miraculously he lived so a miracle that he lived Mr dbo knew enough the people involved

and who might have ordered this and decided not to make any fuss didn't cooperate with the

police Freddy G is changed after the Frank Theo hit and then you know he you could tell that he liked

go to this house under the pretense of we were going to rob this house this is where uh I had um two

houses uh one of which was my uh IED as a stash house once you get off the street here there's nobody that even

knows that you're up here so that's why I really like the this area it was a

good location if you will to to commit this type of crime Freddy joined Anthony to make preparations to hit Gary I dug a

hole in this backyard uh somewhere maybe 50 yards going that way the hole sat there for a number of

months unused until such time they decided to take care of Mr Westerman in November 2003 Freddy GS and

his accomplices decided the time was right to go ahead with the execution of Gary

Westerman he was lured here by uh Freddy and taies and um once they got here he was beaten and

shot I came out of the garage by seen um Freddy was just kind of like they were wrestling with him because he wasn't he

didn't die from the [Music] bullet aada told Freddy to shoot him again Freddy had a somewhat larger

caliber handgun and shot him in in the skull taas then grabbed Westerman by the belt and threw him head first down into

this hole Westerman suddenly nobody had an account for where Gary Westerman was it was

widely suspected that he had met some foul play Freddy GS and his brother had brutally murdered Gary Westerman for the

police he was just a missing person we uh got rid of uh the guns our clothes and um you know we uh cleaned up

as best we could and the next day it was known right right away there was a a ton of law

enforcement presence all over us um they were you know not making it a a secret they were letting them us know that they

were on to us as the suspects of this disappearance of this man without a body it seemed that Freddy

and his accomplices had got away with the killing stories would come in as to where his remains might be found none of

them proved credible in the end but we had to follow these leads up Freddy GS would have enjoyed playing and

manipulating the law enforcement agencies trying to catch him knowing that he was doing all of these things

and that he wasn't getting caught so it's probably something that he chased

and desired and definitely fed his [Music] ego Freddy GS was now deeply entrenched

in a life of violent crime only a few weeks after the murder of Gary Westerman Freddy had a new

set the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Society Club it's an Italian Club was uh mostly

Italian immigrants we did a lot of surveillance in and around uh La Florentina Bakery

and The Italian Club which is just across the street primarily because our targets

including Mr Bruno frequented these spots uh both socially and for business purposes Al Bruno used to play cards

every Sunday and we knew that and that's where the plan was made for him to when

he was leaving the club at his card game to shoot him [Music] then everything was in place for Freddy

GS to kill MAF boss Al Bruno Freddy had given his orders to a hired Hitman Mr Bruno was inside the Italian

Club and uh his murderer his shooter a gentleman by the name of Frankie roach waited a vacant Field behind the

building Al Bruno was walking outside this club with one of his associates Frankie went up to him and
00:23:26
said hey Al I heard you were looking for me I'll turned to him and said hey buddy and that's when Frankie shot him

roach came up with a 45 and shot Mr Bruno repeatedly and then he went to the ground and Mr roach ran down the street

and he died there on the sidewalk of the club it was quite a a shock to the entire area here the something this

Brazen would happen uh particularly to a figure of the um notoriety of Mr Bruno Freddy got the shooter that killed

Al Bruno Freddy did give him $10,000 after the murder it didn't matter if he committed

the murder it didn't matter if he hired somebody to commit the murder it was all

about getting the goal achieved which was doing way with people that needed to be done away

with so what that tells us is that GS was willing to accomplish his goals of Murder by any means

necessary if you committed a crime and you are a member of a mafia group it was because your boss told you to commit

that crime so therefore he's guilty too and they were able to come after the

bosses with a Cod of silence and a culture of fear in the local community it took almost a year before the police

made any real progress it was was just nonstop FBI State Police government attention that was on

us we began to try and inquire as to the facts and circumstances surrounding his

death eventually it led to uh Frankie roach being arrested for the uh murder of Al Bruno once Frank roach was

arrested fearing further reprisals the police wasted no time getting his case to

trial just prior to his trial taking place literally within a day or two I was given information that he

had agreed to cooperate Mr roach actually admitted to murdering Mr Bruno at the behest of others he could only uh

name Freddy as the guy that told him to kill Al Bruno and that's what he did he

uh he named Freddy and Freddy ended up getting indicted for the uh Al Bruno murder Freddy GS was finally arrested on

April 19th 2007 and charged with the murder of Al Bruno as GS awaited trial the body of

his first victim Gary Westerman was discovered this gentleman by the name of Gary Westerman who was a pretty close

associate of the gses we received a call from an individual on a from a public phone as it turned out they just said

basically something to the effect that Westerman is dead and look no look to the aot and the gses for who did

it and I remember the first thing that we found was it was a sneaker and it was actually still attached to his skeletal

one inmate show me how to make a shank out of toilet paper when I went to prison my first

time ever was in State Prison and then the second day I was there I seen a guy get his head squat you know splattered

all over the floor just a year into his life sentence Freddy heard news of a new arrival of

interest to the Springfield [Music] mob Whitey balger was a notorious criminal gangster that ran his own crew

down on the Boston area he was involved in uh everything from rape and to murder

informant he was not a boss anymore he was a Target there are certain codes and rules

locked in there with his cellmate for the night and then in the morning when they

opened up the cell gize was able to go from his cell in that into that cell for Whitey Bulger the countdown had
