Okay, so here's how it went. At 6 p.m., my mom took the dosage of Ambien. About 30 minutes later, I could tell that she was feeling the effect of the Ambien because she did something that she'd never done before.

She demanded a salad. We aren't really a salad family, so we were not prepared for this demand.

Well, when my dad said that we didn't have salad, my mom started crying. Between sobs, she begged him for a salad.
