00:00:29
angry little man Jamie Ozuna is the most
00:00:34
dangerous person I've ever met he
00:00:36
tortured his victims both inside and
00:00:39
outside of prison osuna's level of
00:00:42
violence and level of killing is
00:00:44
sadistic his demeanor gave off the
00:00:48
feeling that no matter what if he was
00:00:50
able to he'd kill you without a second
00:00:54
thought covered in facial tattoos his
00:00:57
terrifying appearance adds to Osuna one
00:01:00
of the world's most feared men in the US
00:01:03
prison system Jamie Ela is referred to
00:01:05
as the man with a thousand
00:01:08
faces through tattoo work he's almost
00:01:10
become unrecognizable therefore each
00:01:13
time he gets a tattoo he becomes another
00:01:16
face his eyes are all black so when you
00:01:19
look into his eyes when you first see
00:01:21
him doesn't feel like looking at a
00:01:23
person the guards opened the door to
00:01:26
step in stopping and described it as
00:01:30
just feeling pure

00:02:36
Osuna nobody is safe around Asuna it
00:02:40
doesn't matter if you're his wife it
00:02:41
doesn't matter if you're in his gang not
00:02:44
in his gang if you're his cellmate if
00:02:46
you're in a position of authority if
00:02:48
you're male or you're female anyone is
00:02:51
subjected to be a victim of Osuna and
00:02:53
that's what makes him so incredibly
00:02:57
dangerous you could feel hate radiating
00:03:00
off of this person anger and
00:03:05
hate I think anybody that's capable of
00:03:09
doing what he did is a absolutely
00:03:12
depraved violent narcissistic human that
00:03:15
has no regard for human life whatsoever
00:03:17
and believes he's entitled to take it at
00:03:19
his own free
00:03:21
will his coldblooded murders have gone
00:03:24
down as being some of the most gruesome
00:03:27
and brutal on record Osuna was not
00:03:31
satisfied with just taking somebody's
00:03:33
life it had to include torture it had to
00:03:36
include sadism it had to include things
00:03:39
that were going to shock other people I
00:03:41
would never want to see him again face
00:03:43
to face or released or ever in near
00:03:47
Society or even other cellmates or
00:03:50
inmates Jam oena is beyond evil if there
00:03:54
was a demon incarnate I would say Jamie
00:03:57
ozun is that evil does not do justice to
00:04:00
Jamie
00:04:02
[Applause]
00:04:07
Ozuna the town of Bakersfield lies a
00:04:11
couple of hours north of Los Angeles
00:04:14
it's where Jamie Osuna was
00:04:18
born
00:04:19
Bakersfield is the rotten core of golden
00:04:25
California Bakersfield is basically a
00:04:28
Cess pool of gangs violence and drugs
00:04:32
anywhere you go in Bakersfield you can
00:04:35
find all of those things there is no
00:04:38
part of Bakersfield that is
00:04:40
immune Bakersfield definitely has its
00:04:43
high crime rate and the types of crimes
00:04:45
are very eclectic homicide is definitely
00:04:48
at the high end in terms of statistics
00:04:51
in 2020 we made the top 10 of the most
00:04:54
homicides per capita in the United
00:04:56
States of America we have a lot of gang
00:04:59
activity
00:05:01
this violence was part of osuna's life
00:05:05
right from the start Jimmy Osuna was the
00:05:08
victim of abuse he had a very neglectful
00:05:11
mother who allowed The Stepfather to
00:05:14
physically abuse him uh to the point
00:05:16
that sometimes he was deprived of uh
00:05:18
food where the other siblings were not
00:05:20
it was described that he was allowed to
00:05:22
eat on the floor uh like a like a
00:05:26
dog he was thrown out of a moving car
00:05:30
when he was just little hanging on a
00:05:32
tree not allowed to eat with the family
00:05:35
slep outside in the rain I don't think
00:05:37
you want to talk about
00:05:40
it osuna's Psychopathic Tendencies began
00:05:43
to present themselves from an early age
00:05:46
he did microwave of family pet I believe
00:05:49
he said he put a cat in the freezer
00:05:52
also if you are capable of hurting
00:05:55
animals at such a young age combined
00:05:57
with everything all the other cha chaos
00:05:59
and abuse that he had endured throughout
00:06:02
his childhood and Adolescence probably
00:06:04
fueled that anger and made it easier for
00:06:06
him to then graduate onto committing
00:06:09
violence towards human
00:06:13
beings Osuna was first arrested at the
00:06:16
age of 15 and placed into the California
00:06:19
Youth Authority he spent most of his
00:06:22
adolescence and early adult life in and
00:06:24
out of different institutions and
00:06:27
prisons he's been charged with
00:06:29
everything from various narcotics
00:06:31
related charges theft uh violent crime
00:06:35
assault with a deadly weapon and I
00:06:37
believe tipped to murder at one point he
00:06:39
joined the gangs at an early age so he
00:06:41
was subjected to violence at a very
00:06:43
early
00:06:45
[Music]
00:06:47
age in December 2008 Osuna went to a
00:06:51
party where a woman caught his
00:06:54
eye I am chane do I am the ex-wife of
00:06:59
Jamie
00:07:01
Osuna I I met Jamie Osuna at a party my
00:07:05
son was asked me permission to have a
00:07:08
small party um for his high school
00:07:11
friends and um I allowed it I have a
00:07:15
nephew that we're only 8 years
00:07:17
apart and my nephew brought a friend
00:07:20
that I did not know who turned out to be
00:07:24
G he was well groomed fit in with the
00:07:28
other people at part part actually he
00:07:30
was a handsome I would just consider a
00:07:34
pleasant looking
00:07:39
person things turned nasty when Osuna
00:07:42
became jealous Jimmy was in the backyard
00:07:45
when I was dancing with this young man
00:07:47
my nephew went outside I don't know what
00:07:49
he told him but Jamie came back in the
00:07:53
house and grabbed a knife from a regular
00:07:55
kitchen orcher block Jamie chased the
00:07:58
boy he scratched the young man's chest
00:08:01
not punctured or anything but scraped it
00:08:04
with the knife and made a superficial
00:08:06
cut the party ended the police came and
00:08:09
made everyone go
00:08:12
home Osuna was in prison for the attack
00:08:15
but he stayed in contact with his new
00:08:17
crush as they regularly wrote to each
00:08:22
other shortly after his release a year
00:08:25
later the couple started seeing each
00:08:27
other a lot
00:08:28
more when he did get out and I picked
00:08:31
him up he had facial tattoos he had like
00:08:34
a Joker face and a diamond that was a
00:08:38
little too much for me the facial
00:08:42
tattoos despite her dislike for his body
00:08:45
art the couple grew
00:08:49
closer he was talking to me about
00:08:51
wanting to go to school for psychology
00:08:54
he's into philosophy and he was quite
00:08:58
educated in those areas is where I
00:08:59
didn't know very much stuffff he seemed
00:09:01
very intelligent so I do remember that
00:09:03
conversation that I didn't feel afraid
00:09:05
of him even after that
00:09:09
incident the relationship deepened when
00:09:11
osuna's girlfriend discovered she was
00:09:14
pregnant well during that time I was
00:09:16
pretty much bedbound and he was very
00:09:19
good to me cleaned the whole house
00:09:21
helped me with my youngest child he
00:09:23
would make food for me totally pampered
00:09:25
me during the
00:09:27
pregnancy the couple decided to get
00:09:29
married I don't want to have another
00:09:32
child as a single mother you know let me
00:09:34
give this guy a chance the wedding was
00:09:36
probably a happy a really happy day for
00:09:38
us and um just the way he took care of
00:09:42
me later on during the pregnancy when I
00:09:44
was sick was it was it was nice I felt
00:09:47
comfortable and taken care of but the
00:09:50
honeymoon period didn't last as Osuna
00:09:53
became increasingly
00:09:55
abusive seemed like any man to look at
00:09:57
me even pregnant he thought men were
00:09:59
checking me out and I was like I don't I
00:10:02
don't notice it like I I feel terrible I
00:10:04
look overweight but he always thought I
00:10:06
was
00:10:08
cheating late in my pregnancy I don't
00:10:11
remember even what the argument started
00:10:13
about it wasn't even
00:10:14
serious but he pushed me and I was quite
00:10:18
heavy and I fell over and I broke a rib
00:10:22
and I went to the
00:10:26
ER USA's wife was treated in hospital
00:10:30
and the baby was fine Osuna however went
00:10:33
back into prison briefly for the attack
00:10:36
on his wife when he got out a
00:10:39
restraining order was placed on him
00:10:41
which meant his wife gave birth to their
00:10:43
son without him Jamie was very angry at
00:10:47
me and everyone that he couldn't see the
00:10:49
baby born cuz he was super into being a
00:10:53
dad they tried working things out for
00:10:56
the sake of their newborn so the
00:10:57
restraining order was LIF Ed and Asuna
00:11:00
went to anger management classes as part
00:11:02
of his
00:11:04
Rehabilitation asuna's wife's son from a
00:11:07
previous relationship made up their
00:11:09
family of four but it wasn't happy
00:11:11
families for long I started to notice
00:11:14
him acting like really strange at home
00:11:18
and come to find out he started doing
00:11:21
math as soon as he started using the
00:11:24
methamphetamines he became increasingly
00:11:26
paranoid and angry that's when he would
00:11:29
choke me until I felt
00:11:32
unconscious Mr usuna started engaging in
00:11:35
heavy drug use at a very early
00:11:37
age it's going to teach him that he
00:11:39
needs to numb himself and constantly be
00:11:42
high in order to deal with who he is as
00:11:45
a person in order to deal with the world
00:11:46
in order to deal with any kind of
00:11:48
relationships it also helps to
00:11:50
facilitate somebody's rage and have them
00:11:53
engage in violent
00:11:55
[Music]
00:11:57
acts the mental was much worse than the
00:12:02
physical horrible mental AB controlling
00:12:05
manipulative
00:12:07
gaslighting if he can engage in that
00:12:09
with a woman he supposedly
00:12:12
loves it's going to make it a lot easier
00:12:14
for him to engage in violence towards
00:12:16
anybody else that he comes across
00:12:19
with things came to a head when Osuna
00:12:22
turned his violent behavior on his
00:12:24
wife's other son pushing him off a bed
00:12:27
and onto the floor she decided enough
00:12:30
was enough and kicked him out of the
00:12:32
house they were
00:12:34
sharing once I got rid of him would
00:12:37
continuously call me on the phone
00:12:38
threatening me and threatening me
00:12:41
talking about he's going to kill me he's
00:12:43
going to do this just constant like 30
00:12:46
40 texts a day 10 15 calls just constant
00:12:50
harassment but is very horrible during
00:12:52
the time even talking about it now it's
00:12:56
it brings back a lot of bad memories I
00:12:59
didn't hear from him for a few days like
00:13:01
either he got arrested I I didn't know
00:13:03
but I just felt a little bit
00:13:06
relieved osuna's wife managed to break
00:13:09
free but another woman would not be so
00:13:11
lucky as his violence
00:13:14
escalated it's incredibly sadistically
00:13:17
horrible it's hard to believe that
00:13:18
anybody could be capable of inflicting
00:13:21
such pain on another human
00:13:28
being
00:13:31
24-year-old Jamie Osuna had been in and
00:13:33
out of prison for numerous crimes since
00:13:36
the age of 15 he also had a track record
00:13:39
of domestic
00:13:41
violence his next felony would be a lot
00:13:44
more
00:13:46
brutal the El Morocco Motel was in one
00:13:50
of the many bad areas of town and for
00:13:53
Bakersfield that's saying something it
00:13:56
was a dirty dingy Motel mainly used by
00:14:00
uh prostitutes and drug
00:14:03
addicts one of the residents at the
00:14:06
motel was 36-year-old IET Pena IET Pena
00:14:10
was living here for approximately 3
00:14:13
months she had a very difficult time as
00:14:15
a child and suffered some really really
00:14:17
significant abuse which led into as it
00:14:19
commonly does an illicit drug problem
00:14:22
she had engage in the acts of
00:14:24
prostitution to likely gain the funds
00:14:27
that she needed to support her habit and
00:14:30
she had six
00:14:34
children on the night of November 8th
00:14:37
2011 Jamie Osuna was with IET Peña in
00:14:40
her motel room she wouldn't come out
00:14:43
alive it appears she suffered uh some
00:14:46
major blows to the back of her
00:14:49
head at that point she was essentially
00:14:52
tortured by being stabbed multiple times
00:14:55
in the back with multiple stabbing
00:14:57
instruments she also had ligatures
00:15:00
around her neck uh panty hose and a
00:15:03
green corduroy type of material was used
00:15:05
to essentially
00:15:10
suffocator there's also information that
00:15:13
Jamie OA used a large metal pull shoved
00:15:17
in her mouth and uh down her uh her her
00:15:25
throat the first thing Osuna did after
00:15:28
Savage murdering event was to make a
00:15:31
threatening call to his estranged wife
00:15:35
he's like watch the news I killed a
00:15:37
woman at the AL Morocco and he said it
00:15:39
like real
00:15:41
monotone and he said you're next you're
00:15:44
next she reminded me of you now I know I
00:15:46
could kill
00:15:48
you I firmly believe that had his wife
00:15:51
not left him he probably would have
00:15:54
ultimately killed
00:15:55
her so she contacted the current County
00:15:58
Sheriff's Office and she asked them if
00:16:00
anybody had been assaulted hurt murdered
00:16:03
at the El Morocco Hotel because her
00:16:06
aranged husband contacts her saying
00:16:08
that's exactly what had
00:16:10
happened the officer didn't take her
00:16:13
call seriously and dismissed
00:16:15
[Music]
00:16:17
it it would be 5 days before IET Pena's
00:16:21
body was discovered on November 13th an
00:16:25
exterminator come in check in the hotel
00:16:27
room and find her I open the newspaper
00:16:29
and they say woman found dead at the AL
00:16:31
marocco Hotel you know anyone with
00:16:34
information and I'm like what I just
00:16:37
called about so I called the sheriff
00:16:40
department oh they picked me up within 5
00:16:42
minutes and interrogated me for like 10
00:16:45
12
00:16:50
hours IET Pena's body had been found
00:16:54
with 57 stab
00:16:56
wounds she was discovered that the CRI
00:16:59
seeing posed on her knees with her shins
00:17:01
on the ground with her buttocks raised
00:17:04
in the air with her arms out in front of
00:17:07
her additionally she had three knives
00:17:11
that were impelled in her back plus a
00:17:15
large pair of
00:17:17
scissors and there was evidence to and
00:17:20
we know now that she was also assaulted
00:17:23
or stabbed uh several times in the
00:17:27
vagina the path ologist who examined her
00:17:30
body gave not one but three causes of
00:17:33
death blunt force trauma to the head
00:17:36
aixia and forced sharp
00:17:41
objects I haven't began to process that
00:17:44
she's been
00:17:46
murder I that there's somebody out
00:17:49
there the speculation is that he was
00:17:53
likely a prostitution customer however
00:17:56
it is unclear as to the motive
00:17:59
Asuna quickly became the prime suspect
00:18:02
while he was on the run fear spread
00:18:05
through the
00:18:06
community there was significant coverage
00:18:08
of the case with Jam Osuna because the
00:18:11
violent torturous nature and the
00:18:13
sadistic manner in which he carried it
00:18:15
out it brought up a lot of emotions in
00:18:18
the community and people were really
00:18:20
emotional and they were upset and
00:18:22
shocked by it every time you turned on
00:18:24
the news whether it be 6:00 in the
00:18:26
morning noon 8: at night 12 at night it
00:18:30
was impossible to miss hearing about a
00:18:32
story Jamie during this whole time was
00:18:34
continually calling me threaten me um
00:18:37
you know a snitch he's going to kill me
00:18:39
next um he killed her because we
00:18:42
resembled each
00:18:44
other since his wife had managed to get
00:18:47
away and he couldn't commit violence
00:18:50
against her anymore he turned to this
00:18:53
poor innocent woman and took out his
00:18:55
rage towards his wife towards the world
00:18:59
himself on this innocent
00:19:05
woman on November 18th 5 days after the
00:19:09
discovery of iet's body police managed
00:19:12
to track Asuna
00:19:14
down ultimately jamuna was caught at a
00:19:17
relative's house in the central
00:19:19
Bakersfield area that information was
00:19:22
developed by the police department that
00:19:23
indicated that he was probably being
00:19:25
hidden there by relatives so they
00:19:27
authored a warrant and they effectively
00:19:29
use the swap team to execute that
00:19:30
warrant for his arrest because he had
00:19:33
made threats through his wife to say
00:19:35
that he had explosives he specifically
00:19:36
said that he had bombs and that he was
00:19:38
going to low anybody up that attempted
00:19:41
to place him under
00:19:44
arrest after a
00:19:48
standoff he was arrested and he didn't
00:19:51
have a grenade he was just saying that
00:19:53
he ultimately just gave
00:19:56
up usuna was taken to the local jail the
00:20:00
lero pre-trial facility he would be held
00:20:03
here until a future trial date was set
00:20:05
for the murder of Viet
00:20:08
P I am Ethan Wy and I was in Laro prison
00:20:11
along with Jamie
00:20:13
Ozuna the lero pre-trial facility is
00:20:16
their highest security facility which
00:20:19
means that they have two man cells only
00:20:23
with locking doors that are
00:20:25
automatically locked and unlocked
00:20:29
it is the highest security facility that
00:20:32
you can get to in the county jail
00:20:35
facility in Kern
00:20:37
County when I was a correctional off
00:20:39
County Sheriff's Office I spent the
00:20:41
majority of my time at the Lal pre-a
00:20:44
facility Jamie osuno was in Leo for an
00:20:48
extended period of time his first stop
00:20:51
was in COD unit 3 which is designated as
00:20:55
a psychiatric unit c pod is definitely
00:20:59
the most secure pod and also by far for
00:21:02
correctional officers most dangerous pod
00:21:04
to
00:21:05
work the type of inmates that are housed
00:21:08
at the lero pre-trial facility are the
00:21:11
worst of the worst The Killers rapists
00:21:15
Thugs and robbers that just can't house
00:21:18
anywhere else were the ones that you
00:21:21
have to worry about we're not the ones
00:21:23
who made a simple
00:21:27
mistake my first few days at Laro I felt
00:21:31
like it was the end there was no Escape
00:21:35
it's Terror Darkness there's nothing no
00:21:42
hope asuna's wife visited him several
00:21:45
times at lero to try and get some
00:21:47
closure on why he murdered
00:21:50
IET he was telling me that he stayed
00:21:53
with her until she started to decompose
00:21:56
and smell that he did state to me that
00:21:58
he was having sex with her body and
00:22:01
still using methamphetamine in the room
00:22:04
and the only reason he left is because
00:22:06
she started the smell from the
00:22:08
decomposer when Osuna stated that he
00:22:11
finds pleasure in killing that's not
00:22:13
surprising and that he finds it more of
00:22:15
a high in sex or more of a high in drugs
00:22:18
it takes an
00:22:19
extreme person extreme amount of
00:22:22
adrenaline for somebody to engage in
00:22:24
Murder for Osuna that was not a problem
00:22:27
for him and he did did it more than one
00:22:31
time I noticed that he started to look
00:22:34
different he had more tattoos he started
00:22:37
to look scarier he had lost weight he
00:22:41
admitted he was cutting himself as I saw
00:22:43
very many scars large scars on his
00:22:46
forearm of course it was shocking to me
00:22:50
but I didn't really feel afraid because
00:22:53
it's through plexiglass and he's
00:22:55
handcuffed I didn't feel like he could
00:22:57
harm me but it was alarming his
00:22:59
appearance was changing very
00:23:03
quickly usuna then made a shocking
00:23:05
statement to his estranged
00:23:08
partner Jamie proceeded to tell me that
00:23:11
he really wanted to kill me but he
00:23:13
couldn't because he would think of our
00:23:15
son when he was choking
00:23:17
me and that I asked him what did you do
00:23:20
to her and he didn't verbally say it but
00:23:24
he motioned with his hand around the
00:23:27
neck
00:23:37
in January 2012 24-year-old Jamie Osuna
00:23:41
was in prison charged with the murder of
00:23:44
IET Pena while waiting for a trial date
00:23:46
he attempted to kill for a second
00:23:49
time he was involved in an altercation
00:23:52
with an inmate over being too loud Jamie
00:23:56
soon armed himself with a shank known as
00:23:57
a tomaha
00:23:59
a tomahawk weapon is the inmates get
00:24:02
razors to shave their face and they will
00:24:05
get I've seen up to four four razors
00:24:09
attached to a toothbrush they will melt
00:24:11
it into the toothbrush and tie it so
00:24:13
when they hit you in the face or the
00:24:15
neck it's going to fet you right
00:24:17
open Jamie Asuna throws a punch at the
00:24:20
other individual who's much larger than
00:24:23
uh Jamie the responded by blocking the
00:24:25
punch and striking Jamie several times
00:24:28
knocking uh him to the ground at which
00:24:31
point the inmate felt something feel wet
00:24:33
and realized that he was bleeding
00:24:36
profusely from his chest face and
00:24:41
neck the victim had five lacerations on
00:24:44
his face neck and chest which altogether
00:24:48
needed 67 stitches to close up this
00:24:52
wasn't just a jail house brawl he wanted
00:24:53
to make a point you don't do that to
00:24:56
somebody unless you're trying to uh take
00:24:57
their life which tells me a lot about
00:24:59
Jamie Asuna that he is a sick psychotic
00:25:03
person that suffers from multiple mental
00:25:05
conditions and uh he should be nowhere
00:25:08
around
00:25:12
anybody although in prison Osuna
00:25:16
remained in contact with his estranged
00:25:18
wife I asked him why are you doing this
00:25:20
to yourself just accept it do your
00:25:23
punishment and he said he was doing it
00:25:26
to delay his trial because he didn't
00:25:28
feel safe going to the prison system
00:25:30
because of what he did to IET
00:25:34
P even in prison they do have their own
00:25:37
ethical code and they do have their own
00:25:39
rules and violence against children is
00:25:42
at the absolute bottom level violence
00:25:44
against women is a close second you're
00:25:45
in prison and you're scared for your
00:25:47
life the idea behind that is you chose
00:25:49
to engage in this Behavior you chose to
00:25:51
engage in this crime and so now you have
00:25:53
to deal with the
00:25:55
consequences but Osuna did not appear to
00:25:58
fear anything or anyone the fact that he
00:26:02
was engaging in such horrific dangerous
00:26:06
crimes that really points to psychopathy
00:26:09
and antisocial personality disorder
00:26:11
really the core of the reason osuno was
00:26:15
engaging in so much egregious violence
00:26:17
was because he was a
00:26:22
psychopath with so much Spare Time on
00:26:25
his hands Osuna started to show an
00:26:27
interest and engage age in satanic
00:26:30
Behavior he had a pentagram that he drew
00:26:33
on the cell floor and he had pictures
00:26:37
crime scene photographs of IET paa which
00:26:40
he laid around the pentagram graphic he
00:26:45
used those as trophies and he said
00:26:47
something similar to The Gang
00:26:49
coordinator like because now the [ __ ]
00:26:52
can worship her God which he thinks
00:26:55
that's what he
00:26:56
is he had a huge ego and a pathological
00:27:01
need for stimulation so keeping these
00:27:03
trophies so to speak definitely helped
00:27:05
him achieve those
00:27:07
goals fellow inmate Ethan Wy had a job
00:27:11
in the facility handing out and
00:27:12
collecting meal trays he remembers the
00:27:15
time he accompanied a guard to Jaime's
00:27:18
cell and discovered the satanic symbols
00:27:21
and pentagrams with it the guards opened
00:27:24
the door to step in and I remember my
00:27:27
boss taking one step in and stopping and
00:27:30
she described it as just feeling Pure
00:27:35
Evil by stepping into that
00:27:37
cell and she had said that she's been in
00:27:40
that cell before didn't feel anything
00:27:42
like that but after she put those
00:27:45
markings up there she took one step into
00:27:47
that cell and backed
00:27:50
off he was allowed to keep them up until
00:27:53
they were able to prove that they were
00:27:55
blood which then became a health issue
00:27:58
so they were able to take them
00:28:00
down because of osuna's worrying
00:28:03
Behavior he was deemed a risk to both
00:28:06
inmates and staff he was transferred to
00:28:10
the max medium unit housing that offered
00:28:13
a higher level of prisoner security
00:28:16
they're not allowed into the day room
00:28:17
amongst each other and have direct
00:28:19
contact they're locked behind their
00:28:20
cells individually single cell for 23
00:28:23
hours a day there's never any actual
00:28:26
direct contact physically between
00:28:27
inmates
00:28:30
these cells themselves are Bleak and
00:28:35
terrible in every way it is a cement
00:28:39
bench with fake
00:28:42
leather plastic sheet filled with cotton
00:28:46
rags and that's your bed it is about 2
00:28:50
in thick and very lumpy and that's all
00:28:55
that you have in those cells other than
00:28:57
your toilet in SN
00:29:00
combination Osuna took a perverse
00:29:02
Delight in trying to rile up the staff
00:29:05
he always always always did whatever he
00:29:09
could to have fun with the correctional
00:29:12
staff and the guards he'd flood his cell
00:29:15
at least once a week maybe twice a week
00:29:17
just for and Giggles he also had killed
00:29:20
a mouse and he pilled the skin off of
00:29:23
the mouse or most of the skin just to
00:29:25
the point to where it was thin enough to
00:29:27
where he could maintain the skeletal
00:29:29
structure and he posed the uh Mouse on
00:29:33
its uh back feet and left it there for
00:29:40
months as part of his job Ethan
00:29:43
eventually came into regular
00:29:45
face-to-face contact with Osuna my first
00:29:48
encounter with Jamie Osuna at lero was
00:29:51
just day like any other you know handing
00:29:54
out trays and then come to OA cell and
00:29:57
he's just standing at the window not
00:29:59
smiling stood there and stared not at me
00:30:01
not the guards just stared he looked
00:30:05
intimidating in a different manner than
00:30:09
most people are intimidating it was
00:30:12
something about his presence that you
00:30:13
could
00:30:16
feel since moving into the max medium
00:30:19
facility his wife stopped all contct
00:30:22
with him but that didn't stop Osuna
00:30:25
reaching out to her dur during Jam's
00:30:29
incarceration at Laro jail he was still
00:30:32
awaiting trial he would send letters to
00:30:35
me um three that stood out that I can
00:30:38
remember are a body sheet ofet pus crime
00:30:42
scene with blood on it he sent me
00:30:47
pentagrams about my mother rotting in
00:30:50
hell and he also sent me one with a dead
00:30:53
rat in it I never opened the entire
00:30:56
content of the letter
00:30:59
when he wrote a letter to his wife he
00:31:01
threatened her and put a spell on her
00:31:04
which I reviewed myself because
00:31:05
apparently he's a self-proclaimed devil
00:31:08
worshipper and he made some very severe
00:31:11
statements to her in terms of how her
00:31:13
skin would be eaten off of her body
00:31:15
for
00:31:17
eternity Osuna had taken his Satanism to
00:31:21
the next level with the addition of even
00:31:24
more facial tattoos jamuna has has
00:31:28
received the majority of his facial
00:31:30
tattoos while in custody that actually
00:31:32
is common in the gel culture they're
00:31:35
able to construct what they call
00:31:37
tattooed guns the easiest way is getting
00:31:41
a staple or a paper clip of some sort
00:31:45
getting it straight and then getting a
00:31:48
hard object to hammer a point into it
00:31:51
with you cut a small slit into a pencil
00:31:55
shove it in as best you can and then
00:31:57
wrap that with string and that is your
00:32:00
pick or basically a handheld tattoo gun
00:32:04
then to get the ink to melt like checker
00:32:06
pieces and they'll heat it up get the
00:32:08
soot make the ink attach it to the motor
00:32:11
and now you have everything you need to
00:32:13
make a
00:32:15
tattoo if you look at Osuna he was very
00:32:18
attention seeking he was there for the
00:32:20
shock Factor he wanted others to give
00:32:22
him credit for his crime he wanted to be
00:32:25
the most outlandish his ego was huge he
00:32:27
want wanted to be the most violent most
00:32:30
notably the pentagram the sign of the
00:32:32
devil center of his forehead and also
00:32:35
has a smile tattooed on each corner of
00:32:38
his lips uh consistent with that of the
00:32:40
Joker character in the Batman
00:32:43
[Music]
00:32:47
comics and underneath that tattoo is
00:32:50
just a
00:32:52
scared kid that he likes to say is
00:32:56
hidden behind a man with a Thousand
00:32:59
Faces James has one face it's a coward's
00:33:02
face but it's not a thousand faces
00:33:04
that's just a Persona character that
00:33:06
he's created in his own mind to feel
00:33:11
adequate Osuna spent over five years at
00:33:14
lero awaiting trial an unusual amount of
00:33:18
time to have to
00:33:20
wait then in March 2017 he was finally
00:33:24
given a date for the trial Osuna was
00:33:27
leading not guilty to the murder of IET
00:33:30
Pena Jamie Osuna a few days before he
00:33:33
was scheduled to start jury trial
00:33:35
decided to make a deal he changed his
00:33:37
plea of guilty as long as the
00:33:39
prosecution took the death penalty
00:33:40
ironically off the table for Osuna it
00:33:43
probably didn't make a difference
00:33:45
whether he pled guilty or not this was
00:33:47
probably him messing with the judicial
00:33:50
system finding another way to exert
00:33:52
control finding another way to inflict
00:33:54
pain on IET penna's family on the
00:33:57
judicial system on his own family it
00:34:00
doesn't sound like this had anything to
00:34:02
do with remorse or pleading guilty
00:34:04
because he felt remorse it had more to
00:34:06
do with just making sure that he was in
00:34:07
control of everything at all
00:34:11
times during the sentencing hearing some
00:34:14
of Viet Pena's family members gave
00:34:16
Victim Impact statements including her
00:34:19
sister
00:34:20
Danielle he was mocking her by Rolling
00:34:23
his eyes yawning and he would use his
00:34:26
hand gesture kind of like in that uh
00:34:28
open up and down while she was talking
00:34:30
about her sister and her life and what
00:34:32
he's done in sort of like a blah blah
00:34:34
blah he did that throughout pretty much
00:34:35
the entire process and then when the
00:34:38
judge sentenced him he
00:34:40
smiled and made a mockery out of the
00:34:45
court I felt very guilty for her and I
00:34:48
felt very bad for her family because she
00:34:51
was just chosen because he had told me
00:34:54
Jamie told me that she resembled me and
00:34:57
reminded him of
00:35:04
me on May 15
00:35:07
2017 Osuna was sentenced to life without
00:35:11
parole meaning he'd spend the rest of
00:35:13
his life Behind Bars he's demonic he's
00:35:17
all these things but yet when he has a
00:35:19
chance to show the world what he does he
00:35:21
took a deal cuz he didn't want to die
00:35:24
that's what it was no sympathy for the
00:35:26
family he has no sympathy he's
00:35:28
[Music]
00:35:33
afraid when Jamie was finally convicted
00:35:36
of evit's murder and I found out that he
00:35:39
got life without parole I felt a lot
00:35:43
better I began healing from the PTSD
00:35:47
with therapy and I just felt it was
00:35:49
worth going through everything I had to
00:35:52
in order for Jamie to not be able to do
00:35:54
this again and that I was telling the
00:35:56
truth
00:36:01
but Osuna wasn't done yet his next crime
00:36:04
was one of the most gruesome and
00:36:06
shocking murders ever committed in
00:36:08
prison he was in his cell all night long
00:36:11
and he had the the window boarded up so
00:36:14
the officers were not able to look
00:36:16
inside by the time they realized in the
00:36:18
morning that something was wrong and
00:36:19
they opened the
00:36:20
door there was blood all over the
00:36:26
cell
00:36:33
in May 2017 Jamie Osuna was sentenced to
00:36:38
life without parole for the murder of
00:36:40
IET
00:36:43
paa he was moved to Karan State
00:36:47
Prison one of the most dangerous in the
00:36:49
state of
00:36:52
California corkran had a reputation for
00:36:55
years of being a very very I guess you
00:36:57
would say just hard prison housing some
00:37:00
of the country's most notorious Killers
00:37:02
going back for years and years and years
00:37:05
all you hear about corkran are bad
00:37:07
things nothing ever happens like it's
00:37:10
supposed
00:37:11
to the sights and the sounds that I
00:37:14
associate with working inside a
00:37:15
California prison is a feeling of
00:37:19
Despair the smell is that of body odor
00:37:24
sweat blood at times chemical agents
00:37:28
pepper
00:37:31
spray Osuna was placed here with the
00:37:34
highest level of security called the
00:37:36
shoe he wasn't allowed any contact with
00:37:39
other
00:37:41
inmates Ethan was also transferred to
00:37:44
Karin in the same year I endered up at
00:37:47
Quran prison after I took a deal and
00:37:51
pled no contest to voluntary
00:37:53
manslaughter in October of 2017
00:37:58
I felt absolutely terrified prison is
00:38:01
one of the most dangerous places I can
00:38:04
imagine prison is definitely the most
00:38:07
dangerous place I have ever
00:38:11
been Osuna had been in ceran prison for
00:38:14
almost 2 years when he got a new
00:38:16
cellmate 44-year-old Luis Romero Luis
00:38:21
Romero was a convicted murderer that was
00:38:23
ultimately sent to Corker in prison
00:38:25
serving a 27-year sentence and he was uh
00:38:28
close to being paroled Osuna took
00:38:32
immediate offense to sharing a cell with
00:38:34
him and did the thing he did best Jamie
00:38:38
osuna's attack on his cellmate was
00:38:40
beyond the worst imaginable crime any of
00:38:43
us could have ever thought of or
00:38:47
considered and within less than 24 hours
00:38:50
of being housed together Osuna did not
00:38:53
just murder him he reportedly gauged his
00:38:56
eyes out removed his lung chopped off
00:39:00
his fingers while he was alive and then
00:39:02
subsequently decapitated
00:39:07
[Music]
00:39:08
him he took out pieces of his intestines
00:39:12
and hung them from uh the light fixture
00:39:15
you could see them hanging and the
00:39:17
investigators even found a sandwich
00:39:20
sitting inside of a bowl on his desk
00:39:23
that had human remains in
00:39:25
there half eaten
00:39:29
[Music]
00:39:32
he uses luo's blood to write different
00:39:36
statements on the prison
00:39:39
wall and one of the statements he writes
00:39:42
is I'm a
00:39:43
man of a thousand faces what appears to
00:39:47
be hanging around jamuna's neck when
00:39:48
he's removed from the cell appears to be
00:39:50
body parts or organs had he made into a
00:39:52
makeshift necklace again I'm not a
00:39:54
doctor but looks like possibly the
00:39:57
intestine of Mr
00:39:59
rero adding to the savagery of the
00:40:02
murder was the fact that Osuna had
00:40:04
managed to do this with just a small
00:40:07
razor to mutilate that body to cut
00:40:11
through
00:40:12
bone at all is horribly difficult but to
00:40:17
use a small
00:40:18
razor should do that to inflict that
00:40:21
level of damage to a human body is
00:40:24
beyond my
00:40:26
uh
00:40:30
understanding Ethan remembers the day
00:40:32
when Lewis Romero's body was
00:40:35
discovered the entire day goes by with
00:40:38
no word of anything everybody's locked
00:40:40
down and you see that they're sending
00:40:44
the workers home people that help the
00:40:46
prison run that means that something
00:40:48
very very bad
00:40:50
happened the rumors keep spreading keep
00:40:53
spreading and I want to say it was like
00:40:57
the third or fourth day we hear that
00:41:00
somebody named Ozuna at Old corkran had
00:41:04
killed their
00:41:07
Cate the body was discovered in osuna's
00:41:10
cell the following day the brutality of
00:41:13
his attack was plain to see for somebody
00:41:17
to cut up a
00:41:20
body and desecrate it in that way and
00:41:24
eat pieces of somebody
00:41:29
there's no imagining that no no sane
00:41:32
person could imagine doing something
00:41:33
like
00:41:34
[Music]
00:41:39
that I mean it was shocking and
00:41:42
disgusting and embarrassing but it
00:41:45
wasn't
00:41:47
surprising the brutality of this crime
00:41:50
is almost on
00:41:52
paralleled I've been a police officer
00:41:54
for 28 years retired now and I've seen
00:41:57
some horrible things but I have never
00:42:00
seen anybody do that and that's
00:42:03
something even looking at the pictures
00:42:06
you're never going to onse I'd recommend
00:42:09
people to not look at
00:42:12
those they are
00:42:15
absolutely
00:42:17
horrifying I think there's a shock
00:42:19
factor I want to be the worst I want to
00:42:22
be the most egregious I want people to
00:42:24
remember me it's a way to be
00:42:26
commemorated as the most violent
00:42:28
criminal in the
00:42:35
world in
00:42:37
2021 Osuna was found incompetent to
00:42:40
stand trial for Lewis Romero's murder
00:42:42
due to his mental state and criminal
00:42:45
proceedings were suspended psychiatrists
00:42:48
determined he had been restored to
00:42:50
competency and proceedings were
00:42:52
reinstated these proceedings were still
00:42:54
ongoing in 2023 Osuna is pleading not
00:42:57
guilty he is absolutely unequivocally
00:43:02
unparal a highly dangerous human that in
00:43:06
my opinion will kill again given the
00:43:09
first opportunity being around Jam Ozuna
00:43:13
you can't let your guard down you know
00:43:15
you feel it inside you that if you let
00:43:18
your guard down around this person he's
00:43:20
going to do something it's the kind of
00:43:22
person you would never turn your back on
00:43:24
at any
00:43:26
time some people cannot be
00:43:32
rehabilitated I don't think he's a
00:43:34
person at all I think he's a monster
00:43:35
evil the way he conducts himself against
00:43:37
fellow inmates and staff members
00:43:41
is extremely violent extremely deranged
00:43:45
I would say he's
00:43:46
deranged you can't have someone like
00:43:49
Jamie Auda and general population
00:43:52
because he's a coldblooded calculated
00:43:54
killer self-proclaimed devil worshipper
00:43:57
who mutilates bodies clearly stated on
00:43:59
more than one occasion that have given
00:44:01
the opportunity and if he feels like it
00:44:04
he will just simply take life to take
00:44:07
life he's never going to stop he's
00:44:10
always going to continue to kill at
00:44:11
every possible chance that he
00:44:14
gets for the One Survivor in his story
00:44:17
his now ex-wife life has changed for the
00:44:20
better I think Jamie being a part of my
00:44:23
past will always be there but it doesn't
00:44:26
affect my day-to-day living at this
00:44:29
time I'm just very glad that he's no
00:44:31
longer in my life and that I survive
00:44:35
just knowing Jamie
