What was your relationship with um drugs
00:00:01
and alcohol life? Smoked a little bit of
00:00:03
weed at university. Didn't do anything
00:00:05
harder than that. Certainly was a binge
00:00:07
drinker. I think most university
00:00:09
students will go through that. Funnily
00:00:10
enough, sort of reached a period when I
00:00:12
probably by the time I got into my 30s
00:00:14
where I just found I I didn't enjoy that
00:00:16
as much anymore. I found that waking up
00:00:18
in the morning, my body didn't absorb it
00:00:20
quite the way that it used to when I was
00:00:22
in my early 20s. And so really kind of
00:00:24
slowed down. Probably if I went back to
00:00:25
my 20s now, you you realize that I can't
00:00:28
remember a lot of it. you know, what did
00:00:29
I miss out on or what did I do that I
00:00:31
now can't remember that that might have
00:00:32
been a a good memory, you know? Um, we
00:00:35
do need to have honest conversations
00:00:36
around alcohol, you know, and and um
00:00:39
I've I've met a lot of people who are
00:00:40
kind of my age who've given it up
00:00:41
completely and I haven't gone that far.
00:00:43
Still like to have a, you know, glass of
00:00:44
wine on a Friday night or a beer at the
00:00:46
pub, but I I have definitely slowed
00:00:48
down. And there.
