Kouri Richins: Behind the Facade | Full Episode

May 29, 2026 / 42:03

This episode covers the Kouri Richins trial, where jurors Eric and Laura discuss the evidence surrounding the murder of Eric Richins, allegedly poisoned by his wife Kouri. Key topics include Kouri's financial troubles, her relationship with a handyman, and the prosecution's claims of premeditated murder.

Jurors Eric and Laura share their perspectives on the trial, highlighting Kouri's behavior after Eric's death and the evidence presented, including a 911 call and text messages. They describe Kouri's actions as suspicious and her demeanor as cold.

The prosecution argues that Kouri killed Eric for financial gain, presenting evidence of her mounting debts and a forged life insurance policy. They also discuss Kouri's alleged attempts to poison Eric prior to his death.

The defense counters by questioning the prosecution's evidence and suggesting alternative explanations for Eric's death. They argue that Kouri's financial struggles were typical in the house flipping business.

Ultimately, the jury finds Kouri guilty of aggravated murder, and she is sentenced to life without parole, leaving her children to cope with the aftermath of their father's death.

TLDR

Kouri Richins is found guilty of murdering her husband Eric for financial gain, leaving their children to deal with the consequences.
